Mek Stans 07

Lundgren, Andreas, Möller Nielsen, Alexander, Frisk, Anders January 2007 (has links)

Mek Stans 07 is a machine developed for Tetra Pak in Lund as a 10p candidate theses project at Halmstad University. The commission behind the project involved development of a machine that punches holes in packages for the inspection division at Tetra Pak. The task for the machine was to facilitate the process of making openings for testing in the company’s other equipment.

Researches on different methods of cutting, types of automatization and possible designs were made. To implement the project a design and construction from the base where chosen. A construction based on a fully automatic design with conveyor belt powered by electric motors and a grip / centring system based on pneumatics.

The packages are placed on a conveyor belt in the machine. After that a hole is punched and the packages are emptied of its contents, all done fully automatic. Finally it’s just to remove the punched and finished packages from the other belt.

A lot of energy has been used to make the machine as automatic and easy operated as possible. A minimum of instructions are needed to operate and use the machine, it’s also built to be able to handle most of Tetra Pak’s different packages.

A centring system that is able to handle all types of packages was one off all the smart solutions that were developed. By punching the packages from below, a number of problems were solved, for example the emptying and the problem with the flaps that is punched out gets caught inside the packages. However the greatest benefit was the waters weight, inside the packaging, that assisted the punching. By its mass it held the paper in the package flat while punching.

Everything on the machine where constructed from the ground, both the mechanics and the electronics. The project has resulted in a complete and fully functional machine that will be used at the inspection division at Tetra Pak.

Tetra Pak is also interested in building another equivalent machine that their sister company Tetra Recart can use. This shows that Tetra Pak is satisfied with the result.

Rengöringsmaskin av produktionslina : Rengöring av band i produktion

Rahma, Yahya, Cankalp, Michael January 2013 (has links)
The project was carried out with SwedSafe AB, engaged in hearing and manufacture of earplugs. Since the company is a world leader in the sale of these products, it is important that they keep a higher level of quality of these products. Production of earplugs is currently a automated manufacturing process that is divided into four conveyor belts and one of the conveyor belts is what will be affected in the project. The belt affected during this process is exposed to various elements such as filling, closing, fermentation and extraction of products. Because the belt gets dirty, degraded products and the work environment is affected. To increase the quality of products and improve the working environment requires an automatic cleaning process, which collects dirt from the belt. The aim of the project is to design a machine that prevents the belt from becoming dirty, preserve molds clean and improve the working environment without disrupting production. The project will also be documented for further development of the machine, to use it on other conveyors. During the working time used Fredy Olsson Principle Design, Primary Design and Manufacturing process to construct the machine. Catia V5 for the compilation of the machine in 3D, drawings, and Pay-off approach to economic calculation. The goal of the project is to run the machine, and maintenance will be low and that improving any product quality.

Persson, Erik, Hansson, Magnus January 2010 (has links)
During springterm 2010 Erik Persson and Magnus Hansson performed their Thesis Work with DIAB Laholm, in Hallands County for University of Halmstad. The project has been a product development project without exterior customers. Thus it had a great emphasis on functionality and less emphasis on marketing and such. This reflects the ambition to develop machinery to be used within the production facilities of DIAB Laholm, not to be sold to exterior customers. Main objective has been to create machinery which enables the production of rotational symmetric work pieces within a NC-milling machine with 5 axles. The work pieces milled will be made of DIAB’s material Divyncell with varying densities. The project has followed Fredy Olssons method involving Principal – Primary – Manufacturing constructions. However a complete manufacturing construction has not been made since DIAB just wanted a good Primary construction which will serve as a base for finishing touches at DIAB. By the end of the project material including calculations has been sent to DIAB and they will finish the work and manufacture the machine if they find economic viability in this. The work method has been suited for this by several reasons, it was created with these projects in mind and it’s also the method most familiar to us.
