Fam?lia e TV: mais que domina??o e subordina??o.

Firstly, the objective is to understand if the principles, values and beliefs constructed and communicated (repassed) inside the Family filter the messages from the Mass Media. Secondly, if there still exists a family culture able to forge identity against so many cultural exchanges. Thirdly, what the function of this identity in the production of senses is. In session 1 and 2, a general approach about the dissemination of Mass Media in Society and the pertinence of the work is presented. Session 3 is about the method used: a qualitative research, with thirteen families from Natal-RN, situated in the Middle Class. The theorical base is considered in the fourth session where the reference to the evolution of the Family is made, with enphasis on the Middle Class and some theories that analyze the pheomenom of the Mass Media , specially in the second half of twentieth century. In session 5 and 6, the research data is presented and analyzed. Finally, in the last session, as a conclusion it can be said that the value of the Family as emotional support is reforced by the speeches and practices that interfere in the signification procces, singular aspects, as well as the social repertoire constructed per si and by institutions (including the family) moreover, mediative message is assimilated by the receiver and becomes understood inside the learned speeches during the receiver‟s history of life, although these messsages are also components in the construction of these repertoire. / O presente trabalho analisa a rela??o social entre a TV e a Fam?lia, a partir das ressignifica??es dos indiv?duos sobre as mensagens televisivas e os discursos que eles pr?prios fazem sobre Fam?lia. A inten??o ? entender se princ?pios, valores e cren?as constru?dos e repassados dentro da Fam?lia medeiam a mensagem dos Meios de Comunica??o de Massa; se ainda existe uma cultura familiar capaz de forjar uma identidade frente a tantos interc?mbios culturais; e qual ? o papel dessa identidade enquanto media??o na produ??o de sentidos. Nas sess?es 1 e 2, procede-se a uma abordagem geral sobre a dissemina??o dos Meios de Comunica??o de Massa na Sociedade e a pertin?ncia do trabalho. A terceira sess?o trata do m?todo utilizado: uma pesquisa qualitativa com treze fam?lias oriundas de Natal/RN, situadas na faixa da Classe M?dia. A fundamenta??o te?rica est? contemplada na quarta sess?o, onde se faz refer?ncia ? evolu??o da Fam?lia, com ?nfase na de Classe M?dia, e a algumas correntes te?ricas que analisam o fen?meno da Comunica??o de Massa, especialmente a partir da segunda metade do s?culo XX. Nas sess?es 5 e 6, s?o apresentados e analisados os dados da pesquisa. Finalmente, na ?ltima sess?o, como conclus?es, pode-se afirmar: que o valor da Fam?lia como sustenta??o emocional ? refor?ado nos discursos e pr?ticas; que interferem no processo de significa??o das mensagens aspectos individuais, tanto quanto os repert?rios sociais constru?dos de per si e pelas institui??es (incluindo a Fam?lia); e que a mensagem midi?tica ? assimilada pelo receptor e faz-se compreens?vel dentro dos repert?rios apreendidos ao longo de sua hist?ria de vida, embora sejam tamb?m essas mensagens os componentes de constru??o de tais repert?rios.

Estudo sobre a publicação nacional dos super-heróis dos comic books dos EUA pela Editora Brasil-América (EBAL) entre meados dos anos 60 e 70. Para tanto, será traçado um panorama histórico, acrescido das coordenadas teóricas que norteiam a análise da iconografia dessas revistas. Houve uma extensa pesquisa iconográfica focalizada nas edições da EBAL, além de levantamento de histórias em quadrinhos de outras editoras e épocas. Mesmo sendo um produto típico da indústria cultural do século 20, as histórias em quadrinhos apresentam inflexões que permitem relacionar arte, cultura, sociedade e imaginário. O estudo inclui ainda entrevistas com leitores da EBAL. / Study on the publication in Brazil of American comic books superheroes by Editora Brasil-America (EBAL) from the mid-60\'s to the mid-70\'s. With such an aim, work traces an historical panorama to which shall be added the theoretical coordinates guiding the analysis of these magazines iconography. Extensive iconographic research focused in EBAL?s publications has been made, besides a survey of comics from other publishing houses and from other decades as well. Even being a typical product of 20th century cultural industry, comics show contradictions allowing to establish relations between art, culture, society and the imaginary. Study also includes interviews with frequent readers of EBAL publications.
