Orientador: Luiz Eduardo Barreto Martins / Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Faculdade de Educação Fisica / Made available in DSpace on 2018-08-11T15:22:06Z (GMT). As inclinações calculadas pelas regressões foram 0.992, 0.991 and 0.977 respectivamente. In the Multicenter Exercise Physiology Project: cycle ergometer calibration phase a multiple kind cycle ergometer calibrator was developed. The exercise physiology laboratories comprising the multicenter project were from Faculty of Physical Education- UNICAMP, Department of Physical Therapy UFSCar and Department of internal medicine- USPRP. Its static calibration gave an accuracy of 0.85 W for cycle ergometer workload readout. An experimental setup for testing stability, resistance and robustness of cycles was carried out in three identical model cycle ergometers. The dynamical calibration was executed to provide the linear regression equation between actual and indicated workloads for 45, 60 and 77 rpm. The computed regressions slopes were 0.992, 0.991 and 0.977 respectively. Ergospirometric tests with 60 and 120 W of workload were applied to three volunteers for 10 min in each laboratory. Oxygen uptake, CO2 production, ventilation and heart rate were computed for steady state and their medians tested for statistical significance (P<0.05). The results were different for direct testing of variables, although their between exercise levels variations were equal. Though, the biological variability overlaps the mechanical accuracy of ergometers. In conclusion, the calibration procedure of ergometers allows the constitution of a multicenter project but biological variability associated with the ergospirometric tests needs standardization to permit the grouping of data from different Laboratories / Mestrado / Biodinamica do Movimento Humano / Mestre em Educação Física

Autonomous quantum error correction with superconducting qubits / Vers le calcul quantique tolérant à l’erreur adapté aux expériences en circuit QED

Cohen, Joachim 03 February 2017 (has links)
In this thesis, we develop several tools in the direction of autonomous Quantum Error Correction (QEC) with superconducting qubits. We design an autonomous QEC scheme based on quantum reservoir engineering, in which transmon qubits are coupled to lossy modes. Through an engineered interaction between these systems, the entropy created by eventual errors is evacuated via the dissipative modes. The second part of this work focus on the recently developed cat codes, through which the logical information is encoded in the large Hilbert space of a harmonic oscillator. We propose a scheme to perform continuous and quantum non-demolition measurements of photon-number parity in a microwave cavity, which corresponds to the error syndrome in the cat code. In our design, we exploit the strongly nonlinear Hamiltonian of a highimpedance Josephson circuit, coupling ahigh-Q cavity storage cavity mode to a low-Q readout one. Last, as a follow up of the above results, we present several continuous and/or autonomous QEC schemes using the cat code. These schemes provide a robust protection against dominant error channels in the presence of multi-photon driven dissipation.

Koexistence mobilních komunikačních systémů GSM-EDGE a UMTS / GSM-EDGE and UMTS Systems Coexistence

Gleissner, Filip January 2009 (has links)
The dissertation thesis deals with the investigation of the coexistence of GSM–EDGE and UMTS systems with focus on the physical layer of the systems. The aim is to provide a set of recommendations for practical cooperation while the systems operate in both the separated and the common radio bands. A detailed description of signal processing of both the systems on the physical layer is presented. On the basis of this description, models of both systems were created and implemented in the MATLAB environment. The simulations are focused on the physical layer quality parameters, especially the bit error ratio evaluation for various ratios of useful signal power to noise power during the transmission over the radio channel. Simulation is also used to examine the quality of received useful signal while it is interfered by signals from the same and adjacent channels. The purpose is to determine the isolation between these adjacent channels, when the bit error ratio of the useful signal does not exceed a certain reference value. The simulation results are subsequently subjected to comparison with the results of the experimental measurements in laboratory conditions. Before the measurements are carried out, a study of possible interference types is performed. Consequently, the crucial parameters of the measuring equipment used are verified. From the results of simulations and measurements, the proposal of a minimum and recommended carrier separation between both the systems is presented in order to efficiently utilize the assigned frequency spectrum. Furthermore, for the cooperation in both the separated and the common radio bands, the necessary precautions are given for reaching the required isolation and thereby inter-system interference minimization.
