The Liebherr Intelligent Hydraulic Cylinder as building block for innovative hydraulic concepts

Leutenegger, Paolo, Braun, Sebastian, Dropmann, Markus, Kipp, Michael, Scheidt, Michael, Zinner, Tobias, Lavergne, Hans-Peter, Stucke, Michael 03 May 2016 (has links) (PDF)
We present hereafter the development of the Liebherr Intelligent Hydraulic Cylinder, in which the hydraulic component is used as smart sensing element providing useful information for the system in which the cylinder is operated. The piston position and velocity are the most important signals derived from this new measuring approach. The performance under various load and temperature conditions (measured both on dedicated test facilities and in field in a real machine) will be presented. An integrated control electronics, which is performing the cylinder state processing, additionally allows the synchronized acquisition of external sensors. Providing comprehensive state information, such as temperature and system pressure, advanced control techniques or monitoring functions can be realized with a monolithic device. Further developments, trends and benefits for the system architecture will be briefly analyzed and discussed.

Automating the process of measuring the mass variation of the product in a solar dryer is an advance over the currently used procedure which is manual. The objective of this work is to develop this automation using appropriate technology to be incorporated into the developing solar dryer at the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG). These dryers need to be simple and inexpensive to be used by the family farming environment. The process used consisted in the construction and testing of a prototype of a drying chamber with rectangular shape, dimensions 32.2 x 43.0 x 34.0 cm, coupled to the solar collector. In the automated measurement system, a scale was used with aluminum tray, measuring 37.0 x 21.0 x 6.0 cm, fixed by a wooden rod to a load cell, type extensometer of sheet, which sends voltage signals, proportional to the mass variation of the product being dried, to a data acquisition platform with Arduino UNO integrated to the equipment. The loading cell attached to the tray was installed inside and, in a subsequent experiment, outside the drying chamber. The data acquisition and processing system was also installed on the outside of the drying chamber. Preliminary measurement tests were carried out with the use of halogen lamps, and the results obtained showed temperatures within the chamber of approximately 45°C ± 5°C, using a standard weight of 100 g. The results obtained during the drying of the silver banana (Musa spp) allowed the construction of the banana mass variation curves and the drying kinetic curve. Curves showing the temperature of the drying air inside the chamber were also obtained. This temperature was in the range of 30°C to 40°C, below that expected to be 50°C ± 10°C as a consequence of the low intensity of solar radiation on the days of experiment. Therefore the banana reached only the value of 44% moisture content on wet basis, above the desirable 25%. Undesirable interferences were observed during the automated measurement process, the strategies used (filters) to reduce interferences were not enough to reduce them completely and will continue to be studied in future works.

Compatibilités et incompatibilités liants cimentaires/superplastifiants / Cementitous Binders/Superplasticizers Compatibilities and Incompatibilities

Nicolas, Edwige 21 June 2010 (has links)
Polycarboxylate type products are very effective in the short term but can lead to a fast loss of workability in case of binder/superplasticizer incompatibility. The object of this work is the identification of cementitous phases involved in these rheological variations. Initially, flow of various superplasticized pastes is evaluated by a rheometer fitted with a ball measuring system. Compatible combinations flow like a Bingham’s fluid. An incompatibility results in an increase of yield stress and plastic viscosity or rheological properties evolution into Herschel-Bulkley’s fluid. Then, cement/superplasticizer combinations are characterized by rheological tests. Stiffening assessment of pastes and chemical characterisation of hydrated cements show that consistency is associated with amount and microstructure of formed ettringite. These parameters depend on initially present aluminate phase and calcium sulphates. Finally, study of synthetic cementitous systems states that calcium sulphates solubility, in presence of superplasticizer, is increased probably because Ca2+ ions complexation by polycarboxylates. As for the orthorhombic variety of aluminate phase, more reactive than cubic variety, it leads to a large amount of needle-shaped ettringite

Modelování diferenčního proudového zesilovače / Modelling of differential current amplifier

Polák, Josef January 2013 (has links)
The aim of my diploma thesis was programming of systems for measuring AC, DC and impedance measurements. Each measuring system measures selected characteristics of current amplifier with controllable amplification DACA_N. Control programs I have created in Agilent VEE Pro 9.2. The measured data are stored to executable files in MS Excel for further processing. With created measurement programs I made measurements of eight current amplifiers. The results of individual measurements I compiled into graphs and compared with each other circuit characteristics of amplifiers. Then there is described controlling and connection of current amplifier and its construction. At the end the diploma thesis describes amplifiers with the worst and the best measured circuit characteristics. The measured values show that the amplifier DACA_N with slight differences works by theoretical assumptions and measurement systems suggested by me work with no problem.
