Práticas de preservação da memória social nas instituições-memória da cidade de Belém (Pará)

The theoretical contribution was based on authors such as: Halbwachs (2003), Nora (1993), Gondar (2005), Assmann (2011), Dodebei (1997) Sant ' Anna (2009), among others. The methodology here employed is supported by fieldwork, documental research, and documental analysis, which is in its turn based on the work “The historical research: theory and method", by Júlio Aróstegui (2006). As result, eight memory institutions was identified: Public Archive of the State of Pará, Museum of the State of Pará, Art Museum of Bethlehem, Museum of the Candle, Museum of Sacred Art, Museum of the Fort of the manger, Museum of Gems of Pará and the Memory Center of Amazonia. Finally, cultural heritage preservation strategies and practices are presented, in addition to how those memory institutions spend their budgets. / Esta pesquisa objetiva caracterizar as instituições-memória da cidade de Belém/PA e suas práticas preservacionistas do patrimônio cultural, compreendendo do ponto de vista histórico as funções e objetivos destas instituições, além de apresentar as práticas de preservação e as estratégias traçadas para a preservação de seus patrimônios culturais. O aporte teórico teve como base autores como: Halbwachs (2003), Nora (1993), Gondar (2005), Assmann (2011), Dodebei (1997) Sant”Anna (2009), entre outros. O percurso metodológico se ateve a pesquisa documental, pesquisa de campo e análise documental, que teve como base a obra “A pesquisa histórica: teoria e método”, de Júlio Aróstegui (2006) seguindo os caminhos que o autor orienta para construção de uma pesquisa documental. Como resultado, identificou-se oito instituições-memória, isto é, o Arquivo Público do Estado do Pará, Museu do Estado do Pará, Museu de Arte de Belém, Museu do Círio, Museu de Arte Sacra do Pará, Museu do Forte do Presépio, Museu das Gemas do Pará e o Centro de Memória da Amazônia. Por fim, são apresentadas as práticas e estratégias de preservação dos patrimônios culturais, em que, cada instituição-memória aplica de forma diferenciada e de acordo com as quantidades de recursos financeiros que recebem.

Spolupráce vybraných středních škol a paměťových institucí / Cooperation berween selected secondary schools and memory institutions

The diploma thesis deals with the theme of the cooperation of selected secondary schools with memory institutions. In its theoretical part it defines memory institutions and sets them into legislative, historical and didactic context, as well as it concerns with organisational forms of teaching with the focus on the excursion, and teaching methods and methods used in programmes of memory institutions. The practical part familiarises with the research made by a questionnaire survey in selected secondary schools in Prague providing "maturita" graduation and with its results. The aim of this research was to realize if and how the cooperation with memory institutions is used at schools and how teachers and students perceive its benefit. The survey was accomplished in ten Prague schools. The sample was both in terms of quantity and course of study unrepresentative, but we can consider the research as beneficial. Almost half of participating teachers use the cooperation with memory institutions during lessons. Those, who not, often see the benefit of the cooperation for other courses than for their own courses. Students of all schools participating in the survey have the opportunity to take part in excursions to memory institutions during their lessons - the most often to museums and galleries. Two...

Čeněk Pýcha History in public space: Changes of institutions of memory Abstract The submitted dissertation project is based on a longer research interest in memory and remembering. Interdisciplinary memory studies is one of the most dynamically developing subdisciplines in the social sciences and humanities. The aim of this work is to contribute to the ongoing academic discussion and to explore some environments of making sense of the past, which so far stood rather on the periphery of research interests. The research field of this project is defined by the questioning of transformations of memory institutions. I observe this change primarily on the trajectory of movement from grand institutions of memory to small ones. As the grand institutions of memory, I understand the traditional institutions of the interpretation of the past that were born in the modernization process. In this dissertation project, I focus mainly on institutions of heritage preservation and museums. With the partial disintegration of grand collective frameworks, these institutions are divided into small institutions. I study this movement in case studies on contemporary cultural practices of remembrance in new memory ecologies.
