Návrh a kontrola parametrů zásobní smyčky linky pro zpracování plechu / Design and examination of parameters of the line stock loop for sheet metal processing

Novák, Tomáš January 2020 (has links)
Master thesis is focused on determination of stress and deformation state of metal sheet in stock loops of non-standard dimension. The main goal was creating numerical model and de-termination of maximal possible stock of metal sheet for all requested parameters. The problem was solved using Finite element methods in the software ANSYS. Results were handed to ŽĎAS, a.s. corporation, where they will be used for design of the lines for metal sheet proces-sing of non-standard dimension. Another goal was estimation, how the residual stress in metal sheet can effect the observed stress state.

Performance of Polymer Coatings Under Forming Conditions

Purohit, Zalak 2010 December 1900 (has links)
Prepainted metal sheets being environment friendly and cost effective as compared to postpainted metal sheets, are widely used in construction, packaging, transportation and automotive industries. One of the key requirements for prepainted coatings is to retain its surface quality and properties during forming process. During forming process, major surface damage occurs when the coated sheet is bent and un-bent around the die corner. To reduce surface damage of coatings, proper control of the parameters during forming and detail study of the surface conditions is required. In the present study, influence of forming parameters such as die radius, lubrication and specimen material are investigated. The influence of these parameters on friction, surface damage and properties of polymer coatings are evaluated. Experiment set-up is built to conduct bending under tension test. This test gives a better way to evaluate coating performance, as it closely simulates the die region of real forming process and considers bending effects. Experimental results show increase in friction and surface damage with decrease in die radius. Moreover, with decrease in die radius hardness of the coating decreases and strain in the specimen increases. Lubrication has some effect on coefficient of friction, but the influence is not as significant as that of die radius. This is attributed to the fact that, the polymer coating itself acts as a solid lubricant in the test. Material effect was studied, polypropylene coating being the softer material compared to PVDF coating shows more surface damage in the form of scratches. Numerical simulations were performed using Finite Element Analysis package (FEA) Abaqus. A 2D model was built, exploiting the plane strain condition for bending under tension test. Numerical simulations indicate that maximum contact pressure and von Mises stress are concentrated at the beginning of the drawing edge. Apart from the location, the value of contact pressure was higher for smaller die radius. Thus, experiments help in studying the effect of forming parameters on coating performance and numerical simulations provide more insight into the critical areas where stresses are high. Numerical simulations also provide a scope to study the effect of material and geometric parameters on performance of coatings without running experiments.

Svozilová, Lucie January 2021 (has links)
The project elaborated design of technology production of the metal yoke of electrical socket made of steel DX51D + Z200 by compound progressive tool. Stock material for series of 200 000 pieces is a strip of coil. Manufacturing is realised in five steps consist of cutting, bending and flanging. For flanging was constructed a special mechanism for whose is necessary to use hydraulic counterholder, which is sold as a special peripheral equipment of manufacturing machine. The machine choice was adapted to this criterium. The servopress DSF-N1-800A was chosen as a manufacturing machine, which is made by AIDA company. The press can produce force of 800 kN and make work of 4000 J. Selling price of a one yoke is 24,5 Kč when the profit is one hundred percent. The break-even point comes with 58 140 made piece.

OBJETOS GRAVADOS: UMA EXPERIMENTAÇÃO POÉTICA A PARTIR DA TÉCNICA DE GRAVURA EM METAL / TRAMPLED OBJECTS: A POETIC EXPERIMENT ORIGINATED IN THE TECHNIQUE OF INTAGLIO

Pinto, Luciana Estivalet 27 March 2012 (has links)
Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / This research explores metal sheet carving from the technique of intaglio. Each "trampled object" is inspired by the study of medieval illuminations images (from the tenth century to the fifteenth century), where the ornament is the focus of artistic creation. In this dissertation, I present my understanding of the term "intaglio" and I define my plastic work as "trampled objects" because using the nomenclature "matrix" requires a series of procedures that are ignored by me at the moment, namely, the imprinting of copies. However, I develop the technique of intaglio using metal sheets of copper and yellow brass, which are displayed directly to the public, in other words, without the traditional pattern of the resulting imprinting. Contemporary visual artists who also exhibit metal sheets [Laurita Salles (1952), Ana Alice Francisquetti (1955) and Otilia Carrique (1954)] are quoted and used to point out the central question guiding this research: the possibility of making metal sheets, which were seen as part of the process of intaglio, come to aesthetics fruition. I briefly comment on some relations of illuminations with the work developed, as it is inspired by medieval ornaments. I analyze some points of interest in the history of illumination and also comment on some contemporary paradigms of art from the thought of Yves Michaud (2008) mainly. Finally, I display to the reader the works developed during this survey. I also broach about the technical elaboration of the works, reporting all the way traced in the atelier, and argument on each of the four sets of engraved objects created (Pequenos Portais, Detalhes Iluminados, Citações Medievais and Filigranas), comparing them to images of some illuminations studied.

Perini, Felipe Gustavo 15 July 2008 (has links)
Submitted by Marcelo Teixeira (mvteixeira@ucs.br) on 2014-05-21T16:18:45Z No. of bitstreams: 1 Dissertacao Felipe Perini.pdf: 4638294 bytes, checksum: 04b47e3d737143948a0776e96d6588a1 (MD5) / Made available in DSpace on 2014-05-21T16:18:45Z (GMT). The main purpose is to detect possible modifications on these steels during the welding process, and to verify the possibility of replacing the conventional ZAR230 steel by one of the HSLAs. Since HSLA steels possess higher mechanical resistance, they can be used in less robust structures, which reduce the weight of the automobiles, and consequently reduce the emission of pollutant gases. We observed different extensions of the heat-affected zone for the three welded steels, with a higher extension in the DOGAL800 and the smaller extension in the ZAR230. Microstructural analysis revealed austenite grain growth in the heat-affected zone, in relation to the base metal in this region for the steels ZSTE380 and DOGAL800, becoming a remarkable increase of resistance due to martensite transformation. The most remarkable case happened in the DOGAL800, where we observed formation of low carbon martensite in the heat-affected zone, being this a harder phase of the steel, but with low ductility. The microhardness profiles indicated that it did not happen a significant change in hardness of the heat-affected zone of the ZAR230, while for the DOGAL800 it is observed a considerable increase in hardness, corroborating the hypothesis of martensite formation. The yield strength obtained form stress-strain curves didn?t revealed any significant differences between welded and without weld samples, if analyzed in a global way, but in a microtensile test, it would be reveled. The samples without weld submitted to the high-cycle fatigue test presented different fatigue resistance, where the DOGAL800 showed the greatest fatigue resistance, followed by the ZSTE380 and finally the ZAR230. However after the welding process we observed a significant reduction in the fatigue resistance of the HSLA steels, even below the ZAR230 resistance for tests above 1 million cycles. The results were explained relating the microstructure properties and the mechanical properties of the three steels, before and after welding.
