Three-Dimensional Electrocardiography in the Rat

Rice, Peter J. 01 January 1992 (has links)
Three-dimensional electrocardiography with computerized analysis provides a means to rapidly collect and quantitatively analyze electrocardiographic data from rats. Electrical activity at each point in time can be expressed quantitatively as a vector with magnitude and direction. Rats are fitted with plate and needle electrodes in three mutually perpendicular axes: X (right to left), Y (rostral to caudal), and Z (ventral to dorsal). Electrocardiographic signals are recorded on paper and also collected at 1000/sec using an IBM-compatible computer equipped with a fast A/D convertor. Signals are analyzed using an interactive program written in Turbo PASCAL which transforms data into an array consisting of vector magnitude and direction at each time point. The data are further used to produce both a tabular report and graphic output. This method retains simplicity while extending the accuracy of electrocardiographic (ECG) measurement. It literally adds another dimension of information to the three-lead ECG most commonly measured in rats.

[en] A DIGITAL CONTROLLER FOR A GONIOMETER / [pt] CONTROLE DE UM GONIÔMETRO DE DIFRAÇÃO

MOISES HENRIQUE SZWARCMAN 30 January 2007 (has links)
[en] This work describes part of a digital controller for a goniometer, used to determine the components that are present in a material sample by means of diffraction of X rays. The process of analysis is briefly show to make clear the performance expected for the controller. Based in the functions the controller should achieve, the Control Program structure is argued and the problems of its implementation in a microcomputer are examined. The problems that apper in input-stream data and output data-stream are ergued and conversion routines are presented. Finaly, the problems of interface of circuits and their solutions are presented andargued.

[en] CENTRAL COMPUTER OF A MICROCOMPUTER NETWORK CALLED MULTIPUC / [pt] COMPUTADOR CENTRAL DE UM SISTEMA DISTRIBUÍDO DE MICROCOMPUTADORES - MULTIPUC

SHEILA DORFMAN LAUFER 18 April 2007 (has links)
[en] This work is part of a microcomputer network Project called MULTIPUC which hás been developed at the Laboratório de Engenharia e Sistemas de Computação (LESC). This work is a description of the design and implementation of two machine: - The MULTIPUC Central Computer - The communication Intelligent Controller The MULTIPUC Central Computer is based on the Intel 8086 microprocessor. Its main purpose is to manage the accesses of the MULTIPUC microcomputers called SATÉLITES to secundary memories and peripherals and also the communication of SATÉLITES among themselves and other computeres external to MULTIPUC. The communication Inteligent Controller is a processor dedicated to tasks of external communications and is based on the Intel 8085 microprocessor and the Intel 8237, programmable DMA Controller.

[en] FUNCTIONAL TEST OF MICRO-02 / [pt] TESTE FUNCIONAL DO MICRO-02

LUCIANO SERGIO BRITO NICOLAU DA COSTA 11 June 2007 (has links)
[en] This work consists of a presentation of test routines that were developed taking into account the verification of the Microcomputer´r functioning developed by GRUPO DE ELETRÔNICA DA PUC (GELUC): the MICRO-02. These test routines consist of microprograming and also of programs developed with the aid of the instructions report of the microcomputer´r central microprocessor (CPU - 8008). They only intend the functional test of the system, and do not take into account the localization of the failure. However, through the results of parts which have already been tested, one can have conclusions that allow a more precise degree of localozation of the failure.
