Analýza faktorů souvisejících s výskytem podotrochlózy u koní

Daňková, Sára January 2018 (has links)
The thesis objective was to evaluate the relationship among morphological characteristics of the horse (in particular the posture, morphology of the hoof, height at the withers), and to analyze which of them affects the development of the navicular disease. In this research 21 horses affected by navicular disease, and 10 healthy horses were used. Our results suggest that geldings are affected more frequently than mares or stallions, and the age of onset varies from 11 to 15 years. No differences were found between groups of horses with different training intensity, or normal/abnormal conformation of the hind legs. The study identified abnormal hoof heels as a significant factor for developing the navicular disease. Comparsion between healthy and affected horses revealed a significant difference in the ratio of height at the withers and circumference of tibia (affected group showed an average of 8,25 ± 0,33 and control group average of 7,94 ± 0,27; P ≤ 0,05). Among the morphological characteristics of the hoof, the hoof angle and the ratio of hoof length to width differed significantly (P ≤ 0,05) between the two groups as well. Horses with navicular disease generally showed the hoof angle ≤ 50 degrees, and the ratio of hoof length to width > 1,0.

Srovnávací analýza působení exogenního působení cytokininů s inhibicí degradace jejich endogenních hladin u Arabidopsis thaliana

Koukalová, Vladěna January 2017 (has links)
Agricultural production is negatively affected by stress factors like drought or rising ambient temperature. Genetic engineering and production of specific GMO seems to be very promising in protection of the crop yield however these are strictly limited for the use in the field. For this reason alternative approaches like application of growth regulators are in the focus of recent research. INCYDE is a new potent growth regulator discovered as inhibitor of cytokinin degradation. In this Diploma thesis we show that high levels of INCYDE could also activate AHK4, cytokinin receptor, and act like cytokinins. Comparison of trans-zeatin and INCYDE showed that application of these regulators results in spatial-specific pattern in activation of the cytokinin signaling. trans-zeatin and INCYDE also induce different changes in proteom mainly in proteasome pathway, gluconeogenesis and fatty acids metabolism. Application of INCYDE simultaneously with inducing drought stress revealed that INCYDE could decrease sensitivity to this stressor. This feature seems to be very perspective for its utilization in the agriculture.

Vliv mírného teplotního stresu na expresi genů metabolismu cytokininů a kinetiku růstu klíčních rostlin Arabidopsis thaliana

Truong, Thanh Huong January 2017 (has links)
Climate change and thermal stress poses a problem for sustainable agriculture. Research in the adaptation and acclimation of plants to the elevated temperature is therefore one of the current scientific issues. Plants are exposed to different ambient temperatures during their life. The response to adverse temperatures includes a number of signalling pathways affecting development and growth processes in plants. Coordination of develomental processes under elevated temperature and other external factors is primarily controlled by plant hormones. Here effect of cytokinins on plant morphology, growth kinetics, gene expression and quanification in combination with increased temperature was observed. By determination of the hypocotyl growth during increased temperature, cytokinins were found to play important role in this process. Cytokinins were found to inhibit temperature induced hypocotyl growth and inversly seedlings treated with higher temperatutre showed decreased level of cytokinins which was confirmed on the level of marker gene expression and determination of levels of cytokinins.

Vliv florální morfologie na percepci květů člověkem / The influence of floral morphology on the perception of the flowers by man

Hůla, Martin January 2015 (has links)
Human preference of flowers is a largely unexplored area of research. Although some authors mentioned this topic, it was usually a very brief comment. They typically stated that flowers are most likely preferred because of their coloration and symmetry. But flowers have many forms and colors and it is obvious that some of them are preferred more than others. The aim of this paper was to explore which morphological characteristics of flowers are important for human preference. We discuss how individual differences between people affected their rating of flower attractivity. The effect of flower color, symmetry, complexity, angularity and prototypicality on human preference was experimentally verified. It is described how the flower preference can be influenced by the sex, age, level of expertise and other characteristics of the raters. The results can provide a valuable source of information for experts in horticultural therapy, garden and interior designers, plant breeders, gardeners and other persons interested in the aesthetic value of flowers. There is a lack of relevant sources on this topic not only in the Czech Republic, but also worldwide.

Ověření pravosti označení taxonů rodu Origanum L. pomocí metod GC-MC a AFLP

Hradská, Lucie January 2015 (has links)
The aim was to verify the authenticity marking taxa genus Origanum L. The sortments were grown at the experimental plots ZF MENDELU in 2014. The analysis of the evaluation results of the work carriedout was laso done in the same year. The assortments were morphological described. The morphological characters were such as: plant height, leaf size, inflorescence height, color of the leaves and flowers. Further details were recorded on phenological phases of the taxa. Oregano samples were assessed for quantity of essential oils by distillation and the essential oils was then subjected to qualitative evaluation using the GC-MC method. The genetic relationships were evaluated using the AFLP methods.
