Efeito da instrução para ativação consciente dos músculos do abdômen sobre a ativação dos músculos escapulotorácicos / Instruction for conscious contraction of the abdominal muscles increases the scapular muscles activation

Angie Stephanie Vega Toro 17 August 2015 (has links)
A instrução aumentou a atividade eletromiográfica somente do músculo serrátil anterior durante os exercícios isométricos (Inferior Glide e Isometric Low Row). / Introduction: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the instruction for conscious contraction of the abdominal muscles on the scapulothoracic muscles activation during shoulder exercises. Methods: Sixty healthy male and female subjects (mean age 23.5 ± 3 years) volunteered for this study. Five exercises focusing on the serratus anterior muscle were assessed before and after standardized verbal, and tactile feedback applied to encourage abdominal muscle contraction. Repeated measures ANOVA and Bonferroni post-hoc test were used to compare normalized EMG amplitudes. Moderate and large magnitudes of effect size were considered indicators of the practical significance of our findings. Results: Conscious contraction of the abdominal muscles resulted in significant increase (p<.05) in serratus anterior, upper, middle and lower trapezius EMG amplitude, during dynamic exercises (Wall Slide, Wall Press, and Knee Push). Instruction increased EMG amplitude only for serratus anterior muscle during isometric exercises (Inferior Glide and Isometric Low Row). Conclusion: Conscious activation of the abdominal muscles, encouraged by verbal and tactile feedback was effective to increase the activation of periscapular muscles during shoulder exercises, in particular, the serratus anterior with large and moderate magnitudes of effect size.

As principais dificuldades encontradas na adaptação do programa para a realidade brasileira, foram: a falta de tempo dos profissionais; número insuficiente de funcionários; falta de materiais e equipamentos e necessidade de orientações sistemáticas referentes à aplicação do MOVE / Abstract: Classically, in Brazil, children with Cerebral Palsy are still being submitted to methods of intervention to improve overall development in controlled clinical environments. However, it has been questioned if the isolated clinical treatment results in important gains in the child's performance in various environments (home, school, community). The Mobility Opportunities Via Education (MOVE®) program is a functional approach designed to assess and treat children with severe disabilities. The aim of this case study was to understand the perception of the teachers and assistants regarding the MOVE approach in a special education school in the city of Paulinia-SP. A semi-structured interview was conducted, in order to qualify the perception of the professionals about the MOVE program in the school. It was verified that the MOVE program resulted in a more human view from the professionals, enfatized the importance of team work and motor learning in natural environments, increased the expectations of the professionals regarding the students and made it possible for the professionals to notice more motivation in the children. The main difficulties found in the adaptation of the program to the brazilian reality, were: lack of time of the professionals, insufficient number of workers, lack of materials and equipment and the need of systematic orientations regarding the MOVE program / Mestrado / Interdisciplinaridade e Reabilitação / Mestre em Saúde, Interdisciplinaridade e Reabilitação

Základní pohybové dovednosti dětí v běžných MŠ a dětí v lesních MŠ / Basic motor skills of children attending regular kindergartens and children in forest kindergartens

Krischová, Jitka January 2020 (has links)
The paper aims to examine how the specific conditions in forest kindergartens may affect motor development of young children and to identify other daily life factors that may have an impact on motor development. A test of motor skills was used to compare results of children from forest schools and regular kindergartens. The work is based on theoretical knowledge about children's motor development, motor skills and abilities and various ways to test them. A set of motor tests was compiled to measure the level of motor skills in both types of kindergartens. The theoretical part provides the reader with characteristics of both types of schools to show how the conditions may vary and assess the differences. The comparison of the results of the tests shows that natural conditions for physical activities in forest kindergartens do not lead to better results in motor skills tests. The parents of participating children were given a questionnaire and the provided answers were then compared with the children's performance in the tests. This method proved that neither time actively spent with parents nor exercising in extracurricular activities have a significant effect on the motor level development of children. Key words Forest kindergarten, regular kindergarten, motor development, motor skills and abilities
