Modélisation de l'élaboration du rendement et de la qualité de l'ananas Queen Victoria : application à la conception de systèmes de culture durables à la Réunion / Modeling yield and quality of Queen Victoria pineapples : application the design of sustainable cropping systems in Reunion Island

Dorey, Elodie 16 December 2014 (has links)
Pineapple production is increasing on Réunion Island and represents the first fruit production, in terms of value and yield exported. The heterogeneity of climatic conditions on the island and the diversity of cultural practices, particularly with regard to nitrogen fertilization and irrigation, lead to a high variability in yield, gustatory quality of fruit and use of natural resources. The development of more sustainable cropping systems requires rethinking and optimizing the combination of agricultural practices, by taking into account the specificities of the different production areas. An ad-hoc model, SIMPIÑA was developed to describe the growth and development of pineapple plant and fruit quality (sugar and acid content) depending on climate and cultural practices (sucker weight at planting, planting density, date of flowering induction, fertilization and irrigation). This model has the particularity to integrate process-based model modules (plant growth, sugar content, water and nitrogen balance) and statistical modules (for predicting the acidity of fruit at harvest and the economic part). Cultural practices are taken into account through decision rules that may thus be assessed with the model. A typology of cultural practices was carried out based on interviews of 40 farmers all over Réunion Island and led to three farm's types with specific climatic and organizational constraints. SIMPIÑA was used to explore a wide range of combination of cultural practices, taking into account the constraints of each farm-type. We identified trends of cultural practices combinations which optimize the performances of the systems and that should be tested in the field. This integrative approach has led to significant advances in modeling pineapple production and in defining innovative cropping systems.

Production et modélisation de glycérol-esters comme plastifiants pour le PVC / Production and modeling of glycerol-esters as PVC plasticiziers

Suárez Palacios, Oscar Yesid 27 July 2011 (has links)
Phtalates are the most important plasticizers used in the polymer industry. However, their fossil origin and results of recent test have showed a potential negative effect on human health, have encouraged polymer industry to demand free phthalate plasticizers. At the same time, biodiesel industry produces a glut of glycerol, leading the scientific community to seek new applications for this substance. A methodology for the evaluation of new free-phthalate plasticizers for PVC applied to a new type of plasticizers, esters of glycerol, is proposed. This thesis presents an overview of the performance of eight esters derived from glycerol as new plasticizers for poly(vinyl chloride) - PVC and an outline of its compatibility with the polymer based in a method to predict the plasticization effect of glycerol esters, constructed with molecular modeling.Having several alternatives of new PVC-plasticizers, three multicriteria methods were used to construct models to select the best alternatives: multiattribute utility theory - MAUT, Measuring Attractiveness by a Categorical Based Evaluation Technique - Macbeth and Rough sets. With these methods the preferences of a group of experts was modeled. In order to establish the conditions in which this new type of plasticizers must be produced at industrial scale, a model of the process is presented. A parametric identification was done. Also, a multicriteria optimization, in Pareto’s sense, was performed using an evolutionary algorithm. Besides, a decision aid tool based on two different functions to minimize costs and maximize productivity, respectively, was conducted with the technique Macbeth.

Proposta de método ágil de análise multicriterial aplicado em processos operacionais dinâmicos / Proposal for agile multicriteria analyses method applied in dynamic operational processes

Paes, Lucas Correia Gonçalves January 2013 (has links)
Multicriteria analysis methodologies have been used for decades to analyze substantial capital investment alternatives, and continue to be a reference tool for capital budgeting decision making in organizations. Small investments are also influenced by several variables that need to be taken into account in assertive decision making. Minor impacts decisions are taken without using a method of multicriteria analysis and when all this decisions are combined, they influence the overall result of the company. The objective of this research is to develop a multi-criteria analysis method agile that can be easily adapted and applied to different operation dynamic process, usual in large businesses routine, helping decision making at lower levels of the organization. The proposed method was applied in two different processes of a multinational company in the mining sector. In the first case the process of prioritization projects method was studied, where ideas of employees were transformed into smaller projects that generate profit for the company. In the second case, maintenance scheduling, the method helped to prioritize the execution of maintenance services when there are resource limitation. The proposed method combines tools of renowned methods with creative solutions to help a decision making in dynamics processes.
