Current market demands require adaptations in companies’ work models aiming for long-term survival through customer needs satisfaction. In this context, new product development (NPD) is a critical process with increasing importance. The high strategic relevance of the NPD process in organizations, mainly due to the rapid changing environments, led to the need of adopting multidisciplinary teams to maximize the added value through the specific knowledge of the professionals involved. In this sense, market knowledge, which is mostly possessed by sales teams, is an essential subsidy for the development of new products that are adherent to the market potential. Therefore, knowledge transfer between teams working in a collaborative approach is a critical factor of success. Thus, this work proposes a method that assists to diagnose the effectiveness of knowledge transfer for the collaborative work between NPD and sales departments. The proposed method helps to identify knowledge flows between these areas, the types of knowledge to be shared and tools used. This is developed by means of an action research in an organization of the communication and media sector.

YOUNG ADULTS WITH CLEFT LIP AND PALATE: ARE THEY RECEIVING TEAM SERVICES?Nowicki, Blake A., McDowell, Andie, Murr, Amanda, Staples, Alexandria, Widy, Sarah, Reed, Elisha, Vyda, Sanjana, Bisceglia, Andrea, Bradley, Emily, Louw, Brenda 05 April 2018 (has links)
It is widely acknowledged that a team approach is preferred practice and contributes to optimizing the surgical, dental, speech and psychosocial outcomes for individuals with cleft lip and palate (CLP).Young adulthood often marks the transition from child-centered interdisciplinary care to adult-centered care. There is a paucity in literature relating to the transition of care for young adults with CLP. The purpose of this survey research is therefore to explore the CLP team practices regarding young adults with CLP. An exploratory, descriptive design with quantitative analysis was used to explore what services are provided by CLP teams to young adults with CLP. An exploratory design was deemed appropriate due tolimited research available on the provision of team services for young adults with CLP. An online survey was used as the method of data collection to determine the number of teams providing services to this population, the types of services provided, and the perceived needs of young adults receiving CLP team services. 71 participants of (18.4%) responded to the survey. The low response rate is typical of survey research, despite three invitations to participate. However, the topic elicited global responses, from North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Australia, which is indicative of the importance of transition of care for young adults with CLP. 46 Participants responded to the question regarding their perceived needs of young adults with CLP. It appears that the characteristics of young adults with CLP (i.e., appearance, self-acceptance, social attitudes, social experiences, employment, starting a family, hearing and speech) are perceived to occur universally and that concerns about appearance is most frequent, followed by speech were important needs recognized by the teams. 56% of teams that responded to that they discharge young adults between 18-22 years, which confirms the expected results. However, an unexpected finding is that 37% of team’s complete treatment or never discharge patients. 35.5% of the respondents described the services provided, which existed of plastic and reconstructive surgery (98%), oral and maxilla facial surgery (86%), orthodontics (90%) and speech therapy (78%) with 50% indicating that they also provided other services. This confirms the perceptions of the needs of young adults with CLP since the high frequency of surgery and orthodontics address the concerns regarding appearance and speech therapy addresses the frequently perceived concern regarding speech. Continued team care is crucial for young adults with CLP to address their adult needs and improve their QoL.The results from this survey research will increase awareness of the importance of the transition from child to adult team care. Recommendations for further research will be discussed.

Perceptions of Chaplains’ Value and Impact Within Hospital Care TeamsCunningham, Christopher J., Panda, Mukta, Lambert, Jeremy, Daniel, Greg, DeMars, Kathleen 01 August 2017 (has links)
Many scholars have written about the role of spirituality in health care. One mechanism for incorporating spirituality into the care of patients is to integrate clinically trained chaplains into hospital care teams. We examined in a mixed-methods fashion, the effects of this type of integrated care team within a teaching hospital setting. The quality and impact of chaplain involvement were studied from patient and physician-in-training perspectives, using data from more than 200 patients and physicians in training. Findings clearly show that clinically trained chaplains can contribute meaningful expertise and real value to the quality and comprehensiveness of patient and physician experiences.

Adherence to Treatment Advice in Patients with Heart Failure : Connections to mental health, social and socioeconomic factorsLassbo Lundquist, Moa January 2024 (has links)
Aim: The aim of this study is to examine adherence among patients with HF and its potential association with mental health, social support and socioeconomic status. Introduction: For patients with heart failure, self-care is strongly advised, encompassing prescribed medication intake, fluid reduction and weight control to maintain stability. Adherence is defined as the extent to which an individual's behaviour aligns with recommendations concerning prescribed medications, lifestyle advice and specific treatment guidelines. Patients with adequate adherence exhibit better quality of life, reduced need for hospitalization and increased survival rates. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study conducted at a University Hospital in Sweden 2021. An electronic questionnaire was used for data collection. The survey comprises four validated questionnaires: EHFScBS-9, BDI-II, KCCQ and HET. The collected data was summarized using descriptive statistics and data analysis was conducted using SPSS software. Results: A total of 479 individuals responded to the questionnaire. Adherence is defined as scoring 70 points or more on the EHFScB-9 scale and non-adherence as less than 70 points. 74% exhibited a score below 70. Experiencing a lack of information concerning heart condition was statistically significant in the non-adherence group. Depression was not significant but was more prevalent among non-adherent participants. Conclusion: Non-adherence is widespread among patients with HF. Lack of information regarding heart failure was correlated with non-adherence. The study clearly highlights the potential for improvement in the advisory role of healthcare professionals to increase adherence.

Disputed custody and the people involved : an ecosystemic perspectiveDu Plessis, Annelies 06 1900 (has links)
Custody disputes have traditionally been considered a legal matter. More recent trends have
seen the recognition of divorce and custody as both legal and psychological events. This
necessitated the involvement of professionals of the helping services in custody
recommendations. Such a multidisciplinary approach is currently taken by the Office of the
Family Advocate, Pretoria, in disputed custody matters.
It is suggested that the way in which the problem of custody is currently defined, is on a
pragmatic level, and does not include a higher-order awareness as implied by an ecosystemic
epistemology. Such an awareness denotes self-reflexivity, and calls for a more aesthetic
emphasis. The dialectic between aesthetics and pragmatics is maintained by means of a
descriptive look at the various systems involved in a disputed custody case. Adopting an
ecosystemic epistemology is recommended, through the metaphor of mediation, as a further
evolution of an already changing process. / Psychology / M.A. (Clinical Psychology)

Cocriação didática - o processo colaborativo de produção de material didático para curso semipresencial / Didactic co-creation - the collaborative process of didactic material production for blended learning courseGabarrone, Melissa Rocha 24 August 2017 (has links)
The preparation and the production of didactic materials for on-line courses demand a multidisciplinary teamwork (technicians and specialists from different areas) along with teacherauthors. The organization and the process of production are complex and specific for each project and teaching institution. The objective of this research is to analyze how the collaborative process of the didactic material produced in the blended learning course of the Licentiate Degree in Science from USP/UNIVESP (conducted over a certain period of time. Qualitative approach has been adopted for this study, more specifically, a case study research. In order to accomplish our goals, we have conducted data collection by using review of documents as well as interviews with the professionals that participated in the creation process. For the purpose of analyzing the collected data, we have gathered diverse theoretical approaches related to the main topics of this study. By having the content analyzed, a relationship between the studied theory and the data collected has been established. In conclusion, due to the fact that it is the product of a teamwork, the original content (text) needs to go through some changes and adaptations during the whole process until the final version of the didactic material (in all its different formats) is completed. It is important to emphasize that every step during the process of production is attended, discussed and validated by the teacher-author. As in any multidisciplinary teamwork, the communication and the interrelationships are constant and meaningful to the process. It is in this context of teamwork (including the teacher-author) that the didactic co-creation occurs, being the result of collaborative and creation work. It has been verified that the groups worked in intercalated moments throughout the production of the material: as individuals or in collaboration. Despite the fact that there are predefined steps which are supposed to flow in a linear way, co-creation takes place during the interrelationships, the exchange of knowledge and suggestions and the adaptation of the content. It turns out to be a hybrid process: linear and co-creative. Linear in its structure and its way of working and co-creative as a natural part of human relationships and as a collective production of knowledge.

The subject of this thesis is to develop a support approach to the constitution and to the choices of the multidisciplinary teams. Two methodologies have been developed in order to provide a contribution to the domain of the team management in a general manner and to the hospital systems particularly. We are interested in the conception of these methodologies in the support method to the multi-criterion decision and to the cognitive methods. The first methodology TBS 1, is based on the experiences of the past operations in order to supply the adequate team for a new operation. We develop hybridization between the support tool to the multi-criterion decision AHP and a cognitive method CBR. In a second methodology TBS 2, we combine two support methods to the multi-criterion decision AHP and ELECTRE in order to suggest to the persons in charge the best team and the links with the other teams. In order to approve these two approaches, we have experimented them in the operating theatre of CHU Habib Bourguiba. Even though certain number of limits could be highlighted, the operation issues lead us to think that the interest of the two support approaches to the constitution and to the choices of the teams in the operating theatre seems to be approved.
