Nessa busca por elas, um novo elemento se colocou como potente para esse estudo. Referimo-nos a nomeação, visto que, ao procurar travestis, encontramos transexuais que exerciam a prostituição. Muitas foram as dificuldades em acessá-las, por isso, optamos em realizar uma pesquisa bibliográfica, que teve por objetivo localizar como travestis e transexuais vêm sendo nomeadas e ainda, analisar a constituição da prostituição entre esses sujeitos, ambos discutidos a partir de artigos científicos disponibilizados na biblioteca eletrônica Scielo. Entendemos que um processo de investigação, a partir da ciência, enquanto legitimadora de saberes, ainda que não seja a única, iria ao encontro da proposta do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação em Ciências, na linha de pesquisa “Educação Científica: Implicações das práticas científicas na Construção dos Sujeitos”. Consideramos que mais do que descrever, a ciência constrói os objetos e as práticas de que fala, interpela os sujeitos que orientam suas ações a partir desses saberes ou, os renunciam. Para a produção e análise dos dados, além da pesquisa bibliográfica, buscamos inspiração na análise de conteúdo, de onde, após as leituras de 70 artigos, emergiram duas linhas de análise baseadas nas recorrências, a partir de elementos que neles encontramos: uma que trata dos elementos que operam a distinção entre os termos; e a outra que observa os efeitos da prostituição entre travestis e transexuais. O movimento de pesquisa demonstrou o quão estão implicados os processos de nomeação e prostituição de travestis e transexuais. Ainda que os tenhamos organizado em linhas de análise, ousamos dizer, que eles não acontecem dessa forma, separadamente. / The writing that we present was started from a research movement which intended to reach the transvestites who were prostituting themselves. In this search for them, a new element placed itself such as potent for this study. We refer to the nomination, whereas, at the looking for transvestites, we found transsexuals which were exercising the prostitution. Many were the difficulties in accessing them, so we choose realizing a bibliographic research, which aimed locate how prostitutes and transsexuals are being named and further analyze the prostitution constitution between subjects, both discussed from the scientific articles available in the electronic library Scielo. We understand that a process of investigation based in science as knowledge legitimating, though not the unique, would confirm the proposal of the Post-graduation Program in Science Education, in the research line “Education in Science : implications of the scientific practices in Formation of Subjects ”. We considered that more than describe, the science builds the objects and the speeches practices, affects the subjects who orientate their own actions based on these knowledges, or renounce them. For this production and analysis of data, besides de bibliographic research, we looked for inspiration in the content analysis, from where, after the reading of the 70 articles, has emerged two analysis lines based in the recurrence from the elements we’ve found in them: one treats about the elements that operate the distinction between terms; and the other that observes the effects of prostitution in transvestites and transsexuals. The research movement demonstrated how are implicated the processes of nomination and prostitution of transvestite and transsexuals. Even if we have organized in analysis lines, we dare say they don’t happen this way, separately.
