Essas informações às vezes são apresentadas na forma de documentos com formato e conteúdos pré-definidos. Esses documentos podem ser equivalentes ou quase equivalentes, porém bastantes distintos em diferentes organizações. Numa mesma organização, os documentos podem ser diferentes em contextos históricos. O propósito deste trabalho é facilitar a distribuição dos documentos, superando o problema dos formatos com os quais foram criados. O objetivo é possibilitar a interoperabilidade de documentos e atingir a portabilidade simples e confiável de documentos através da reutilização de formatos e conteúdos, em diferentes combinações plausíveis. Propomos, usar ontologias como solução ao problema da falta de interoperabilidade nas implementações de formatos de documentos. Como prova de conceito consideramos a portabilidade entre os formatos padrão ODF(Open Document Format) e (Office Open XML). / Organizations need to exchange information simple and efficient, with costs as low as possible. Investigation of CaIr1-xPtxO3 and CaIr0.5Rh0.5O3 : structural properties, physical properties and stabilising conditions for post-perovskite oxidesHirai, Shigeto January 2011 (has links)
Our understanding of the nature of Earth’s D” region was changed significantly by a recent finding by Murakami et al. (2004), who revealed a phase transition from perovskite to post-perovskite structure in MgSiO3 at about 125 GPa and 2500 K, corresponding to conditions of the lowermost mantle. A perovskite to post-perovskite phase transition accounts for many unusual features of the D” region, including its notable seismic anisotropy, and also accounts for the unusual topology of the D” discontinuity. However, the experimentally synthesised post-perovskite phase of MgSiO3 is not quenchable to ambient conditions, which means that many of its physical properties remain difficult to determine. On the other hand, there are several post-perovskite oxides, CaIrO3, CaPtO3, CaRhO3 and CaRuO3, which can be quenched to ambient conditions, maintaining their structure. High pressure synthesis of CaIr1-xPtxO3 solid solutions (x = 0, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7) and CaIr0.5Rh0.5O3 was conducted at the University of Edinburgh and Geodynamics Research Center, Ehime University, and structures and physical properties of these novel post-perovskite materials determined. Substantial [100] grain growth was observed in all solid solutions leading to pronounced texture even in powdered materials. Temperature-independent paramagnetism above 150 K and small magnetic entropy observed in heat capacity measurements suggest that CaIrO3 is an intrinsically weak itinerant ferromagnetic metal, while electrical resistivity measurements show that it is a narrow bandgap semiconductor, possibly due to grain boundary effects. CaIrO3 undergoes a magnetic transition at 108K and possesses a saturated magnetic moment of 0.04 μB. Doping with Pt or Rh induces Curie-Weiss paramagnetism and suppresses the magnetic transition. The anisotropic structure and morphology of CaIrO3 combined with the Ir4+ spin-orbit coupling results in a large magnetic anisotropy constant of 1.77 x 106 Jm-3, comparable to values for permanent magnet materials. A new high-pressure phase of CaIr0.5Pt0.5O3 was synthesised at 60GPa, 1900K using a laser-heated DAC (diamond anvil cell) at GRC, Ehime University. Its Raman spectra resemble those of perovskite phases of CaIrO3 and CaMnO3, implying that CaIr0.5Pt0.5O3 undergoes a post-perovskite to perovskite phase transition with increasing pressure. I estimate an increase in thermodynamic Grüneisen parameter γth across the post-perovskite to perovskite transition of 34 %, with similar magnitude to (Mg,Fe)SiO3 and MgGeO3, suggesting that CaIr0.5Pt0.5O3 is a promising analogue for experimentally simulating the competitive stability between perovskite and post-perovskite phase of magnesium silicates in Earth’s lowermost mantle. Such estimation is reliable since the estimated and directly calculated thermodynamic Grüneisen parameter γth from heat capacity show consistent values. The marked effect that Pt has on stabilising the post-perovskite structure in CaIr1-xPtxO3 solid solutions explains why the post-perovskite to perovskite phase transition has not been observed for CaPtO3 in contrast to other quenchable post-perovskite oxides: CaIrO3, CaRhO3 and CaRuO3.Work presented here demonstrates that CaIrO3 solid solutions can be used to provide new insight into factors stabilising post-perovskite structures in Earth’s lowermost mantle.

Impacts des étapes de pré-traitement des données de diffusion sur la tractographie - Imagerie de diffusionBoré, Arnaud January 2012 (has links)
Ce mémoire présente l'ensemble des étapes de pré-traitement appliquées aux images provenant de l'imagerie par résonance magnétique de diffusion afin de conseiller les meilleurs paramètres dans une étude de tractographie. L'imagerie de diffusion nous donne l'information locale des déplacements moyens des molécules d'eau dans le cerveau. Cette information nous permet d'inférer l'architecture de la matière blanche. La reconstruction du signal de diffusion fait appel à différentes méthodes plus ou moins aptes à restituer la complexité des configurations de fibres. Dans ce mémoire, nous proposons une nouvelle méthode de reconstruction du phénomène de diffusion basée sur la décomposition en ondelettes sphériques. Ensuite, en combinant ces informations à tous les points du cerveau nous reconstruisons le réseau de fibres de la matière blanche par un algorithme de tractographie déterministe. Afin d'initier cet algorithme, nous proposons une nouvelle méthode d'initialisation dans le but de mieux gérer la complexité des configurations de fibres au sein d'un seul voxel. Les fibres reconstruites sont très difficiles à évaluer dans le cerveau car nous ne connaissons pas la configuration réelle des fibres. Pour être en mesure d'évaluer nos méthodes de reconstruction, nous utilisons un fantôme calquant la complexité des configurations de fibres trouvées dans le cerveau. Dans ce mémoire, nous proposons un ensemble de métriques et un système de notations permettant d'évaluer automatiquement la qualité des résultats d'une tractographie. Nous concluons l'étude concernant les données synthétiques par un ensemble de conseils sur les paramètres à utiliser afin d'obtenir des résultats de tractographie optimaux. Finalement, nous évaluons qualitativement les résultats de tractographie issus de données réelles afin de confirmer nos choix sur les données fantômes.

L'observation de l'orientation des grains des carottes forées en Antarctique et au Groenland montre que la glace polaire acquiert une fabrique représentative de l'histoire des déformations qu'elle a subies. Le comportement viscoplastique du cristal de glace étant fortement anisotrope, il en résulte une anisotropie macroscopique du polycristal qui dépend des orientations préférentielles des grains qui le composent. A l'échelle du polycristal, le comportement viscoplastique est obtenu par homogénéisation sur tous les cristaux, en supposant leur comportement linéaire orthotrope de révolution et une répartition homogène des contraintes dans tout le polycristal (modéle statique). La fabrique du polycristal est décrite par une fonction continue de distribution des orientations (ODF). Avec ces hypothèses, nous avons obtenu des résultats analytiques pour le comportement orthotrope d'un polycristal et l'évolution de sa fabrique, qui permettent de représenter la fabrique par une ODF ne dépendant que de trois paramètres. A l'échelle de la calotte polaire, les champs de vitesses et fabriques de l'écoulement stationnaire sont calculés par une méthode couplée, qui alterne : - le calcul des vitesses, pour un champ de fabriques donné, par la méthode des éléments finis, - le calcul de la fabrique, pour un champ de vitesses donné, par une méthode qui utilise les lignes de courant de l'écoulement, jusqu'à ce que la convergence soit atteinte, à la fois sur les vitesses et la fabrique. Nous étudions l'influence du champ de températures et du comportement du grain sur la formation des fabriques au sein des calottes polaires. Le modèle est appliqué à la ligne d'écoulement GRIP-GISP2 (Groenland Central) et les résultats sont comparès aux mesures de terrain.

Reconstruction et description des fonctions de distribution d'orientation en imagerie de diffusion à haute résolution angulaire / Reconstruction and description of the orientation distribution function of high angular resolution diffusion imagingSun, Changyu 02 December 2014 (has links)
Ce travail de thèse porte sur la reconstruction et la description des fonctions de distribution d'orientation (ODF) en imagerie de diffusion à haute résolution angulaire (HARDI) telle que l’imagerie par q-ball (QBI). Dans ce domaine, la fonction de distribution d’orientation (ODF) en QBI est largement utilisée pour étudier le problème de configuration complexe des fibres. Toutefois, jusqu’à présent, l’évaluation des caractéristiques ou de la qualité des ODFs reste essentiellement visuelle et qualitative, bien que l’utilisation de quelques mesures objectives de qualité ait également été reportée dans la littérature, qui sont directement empruntées de la théorie classique de traitement du signal et de l’image. En même temps, l’utilisation appropriée de ces mesures pour la classification des configurations des fibres reste toujours un problème. D'autre part, le QBI a souvent besoin d'un nombre important d’acquisitions pour calculer avec précision les ODFs. Ainsi, la réduction du temps d’acquisition des données QBI est un véritable défi. Dans ce contexte, nous avons abordé les problèmes de comment reconstruire des ODFs de haute qualité et évaluer leurs caractéristiques. Nous avons proposé un nouveau paradigme permettant de décrire les caractéristiques des ODFs de manière plus quantitative. Il consiste à regarder un ODF comme un nuage général de points tridimensionnels (3D), projeter ce nuage de points 3D sur un plan angle-distance (ADM), construire une matrice angle-distance (ADMAT), et calculer des caractéristiques morphologiques de l'ODF telles que le rapport de longueurs, la séparabilité et l'incertitude. En particulier, une nouvelle métrique, appelé PEAM (PEAnut Metric) et qui est basée sur le calcul de l'écart des ODFs par rapport à l’ODF (représenté par une forme arachide) d’une seule fibre, a été proposée et utilisée pour classifier des configurations intravoxel des fibres. Plusieurs méthodes de reconstruction des ODFs ont également été comparées en utilisant les paramètres proposés. Les résultats ont montré que les caractéristiques du nuage de points 3D peuvent être évaluées d'une manière relativement complète et quantitative. En ce qui concerne la reconstruction de l'ODF de haute qualité avec des données réduites, nous avons proposé deux méthodes. La première est basée sur une interpolation par triangulation de Delaunay et sur des contraintes imposées à la fois dans l’espace-q et dans l'espace spatial. La deuxième méthode combine l’échantillonnage aléatoire des directions de gradient de diffusion, le compressed sensing, l’augmentation de la densité de ré-échantillonnage, et la reconstruction des signaux de diffusion manquants. Les résultats ont montré que les approches de reconstruction des signaux de diffusion manquants proposées nous permettent d'obtenir des ODFs précis à partir d’un nombre relativement faible de signaux de diffusion. / This thesis concerns the reconstruction and description of orientation distribution functions (ODFs) in high angular resolution diffusion imaging (HARDI) such as q-ball imaging (QBI). QBI is used to analyze more accurately fiber structures (crossing, bending, fanning, etc.) in a voxel. In this field, the ODF reconstructed from QBI is widely used for resolving complex intravoxel fiber configuration problem. However, until now, the assessment of the characteristics or quality of ODFs remains mainly visual and qualitative, although the use of a few objective quality metrics is also reported that are directly borrowed from classical signal and image processing theory. At the same time, although some metrics such as generalized anisotropy (GA) and generalized fractional anisotropy (GFA) have been proposed for classifying intravoxel fiber configurations, the classification of the latters is still a problem. On the other hand, QBI often needs an important number of acquisitions (usually more than 60 directions) to compute accurately ODFs. So, reducing the quantity of QBI data (i.e. shortening acquisition time) while maintaining ODF quality is a real challenge. In this context, we have addressed the problems of how to reconstruct high-quality ODFs and assess their characteristics. We have proposed a new paradigm allowing describing the characteristics of ODFs more quantitatively. It consists of regarding an ODF as a general three-dimensional (3D) point cloud, projecting a 3D point cloud onto an angle-distance map (ADM), constructing an angle-distance matrix (ADMAT), and calculating morphological characteristics of the ODF such as length ratio, separability and uncertainty. In particular, a new metric, called PEAM (PEAnut Metric), which is based on computing the deviation of ODFs from a single fiber ODF represented by a peanut, was proposed and used to classify intravoxel fiber configurations. Several ODF reconstruction methods have also been compared using the proposed metrics. The results showed that the characteristics of 3D point clouds can be well assessed in a relatively complete and quantitative manner. Concerning the reconstruction of high-quality ODFs with reduced data, we have proposed two methods. The first method is based on interpolation by Delaunay triangulation and imposing constraints in both q-space and spatial space. The second method combines random gradient diffusion direction sampling, compressed sensing, resampling density increasing, and missing diffusion signal recovering. The results showed that the proposed missing diffusion signal recovering approaches enable us to obtain accurate ODFs with relatively fewer number of diffusion signals.

In 1990 a small self-published journal/magazine called The Watcher was distributed among New Zealand's occult underground. The Watcher described itself as 'the New Zealand Voice of the Left Hand Path', and was published as the journal of the Order of the Left Hand Path. The Watcher and the Order directed its attentions towards those occultists who identified themselves as Satanists and, as such, the journal articulated a distinctly Satanic philosophy and perspective. However, as the journal evolved and developed, renaming itself as The Heretic and The Nexus in later years, there arose alongside Satanic philosophy an increasing emphases on what could be called esoteric Nazism or esoteric Nationalism. Given that the editor of The Watcher was Kerry Bolton, a man who has been immersed in New Zealand's Nationalist/neo-Nazi movement since the early 1970s, such an increasingly political orientation was perhaps unsurprising. This thesis examines the way in which the Order bought Satanic and neo-Nazi ideologies together and the resulting synthesis. It also looks at the transition from being a Satanic order led by a neo-Nazi to an openly neo-Nazi Order that uses Satanic philosophy to justify and popularise its conception of National Socialism.

High angular resolution diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging: adaptive smoothing and applicationsMetwalli, Nader 07 July 2010 (has links)
Diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has allowed unprecedented non-invasive mapping of brain neural connectivity in vivo by means of fiber tractography applications. Fiber tractography has emerged as a useful tool for mapping brain white matter connectivity prior to surgery or in an intraoperative setting. The advent of high angular resolution diffusion-weighted imaging (HARDI) techniques in MRI for fiber tractography has allowed mapping of fiber tracts in areas of complex white matter fiber crossings. Raw HARDI images, as a result of elevated diffusion-weighting, suffer from depressed signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) levels. The accuracy of fiber tractography is dependent on the performance of the various methods extracting dominant fiber orientations from the HARDI-measured noisy diffusivity profiles. These methods will be sensitive to and directly affected by the noise. In the first part of the thesis this issue is addressed by applying an objective and adaptive smoothing to the noisy HARDI data via generalized cross-validation (GCV) by means of the smoothing splines on the sphere method for estimating the smooth diffusivity profiles in three dimensional diffusion space. Subsequently, fiber orientation distribution functions (ODFs) that reveal dominant fiber orientations in fiber crossings are then reconstructed from the smoothed diffusivity profiles using the Funk-Radon transform. Previous ODF smoothing techniques have been subjective and non-adaptive to data SNR. The GCV-smoothed ODFs from our method are accurate and are smoothed without external intervention facilitating more precise fiber tractography.
Diffusion-weighted MRI studies in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) have revealed significant changes in diffusion parameters in ALS patient brains. With the need for early detection of possibly discrete upper motor neuron (UMN) degeneration signs in patients with early ALS, a HARDI study is applied in order to investigate diffusion-sensitive changes reflected in the diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) measures axial and radial diffusivity as well as the more commonly used measures fractional anisotropy (FA) and mean diffusivity (MD). The hypothesis is that there would be added utility in considering axial and radial diffusivities which directly reflect changes in the diffusion tensors in addition to FA and MD to aid in revealing neurodegenerative changes in ALS. In addition, applying adaptive smoothing via GCV to the HARDI data further facilitates the application of fiber tractography by automatically eliminating spurious noisy peaks in reconstructed ODFs that would mislead fiber tracking.

The basic model consists to sequence of construction, network topology, passive and active parts. The collection contains examples of alternative technology such as Wireless LAN with different frequency. The optical network construction based on optical cable, fibres, splices, trays, adapters, connectors and active parts for example a lot of media convertor models. After that there are demonstrating type of wavelength division multiplexer used in metropolitan area network – passive planar PCL splitter. One of the passive planar splitter are used to increase optical fibre channel. At the end of the collection a simplified examples of used measurements – optical time domain reflectometry and optical fibre transmission. Contains standard protocols or reflectogram. The conclusion of this thesis summarizes costs of FTTb (Fibre To The Building) model of optical metropolitan area network in Czech republic and future contribution for society.
