This diploma thesis dealt with the influence of relative weir height of rectangular broad-crested weir on discharge coefficient. Based on the level measurement in front of weir for different heights of the weir P and discharges were determined values of discharge coefficient according h/P. These values were compared with the results of measurements and relationships, which are mentioned in the professional literature. In conclusion were derived new relationships that can be used to calculate the discharge coefficient relative to the overflow head.

Detekce Útoků v Síťovém Provozu / Intrusion Detection in Network Traffic

Tato práce se zabývá problematikou anomální detekce síťových útoků s využitím technik strojového učení. Nejdříve jsou prezentovány state-of-the-art datové kolekce určené pro ověření funkčnosti systémů detekce útoků a také práce, které používají statistickou analýzu a techniky strojového učení pro nalezení síťových útoků. V další části práce je prezentován návrh vlastní kolekce metrik nazývaných Advanced Security Network Metrics (ASNM), který je součástí konceptuálního automatického systému pro detekci průniků (AIPS). Dále jsou navrženy a diskutovány dva různé přístupy k obfuskaci - tunelování a modifikace síťových charakteristik - sloužících pro úpravu provádění útoků. Experimenty ukazují, že použité obfuskace jsou schopny předejít odhalení útoků pomocí klasifikátoru využívajícího metriky ASNM. Na druhé straně zahrnutí těchto obfuskací do trénovacího procesu klasifikátoru může zlepšit jeho detekční schopnosti. Práce také prezentuje alternativní pohled na obfuskační techniky modifikující síťové charakteristiky a demonstruje jejich použití jako aproximaci síťového normalizéru založenou na vhodných trénovacích datech.

Design and cold flow evaluation of a miniature Mach 4 Ramjet

Approved for public release, distribution is unlimited / Methods used for designing the ramjet included conic shock tables; isentropic flow tables and the GASTURB code was used for aerothermodynamic performance prediction. The flow field through the proposed geometry was computed using the OVERFLOW code, and small modifications were made. Geometry and solid models were created and built using SolidWorks 3D solid modeling software. A prototype ramjet was manufactured with wind tunnel mounting struts capable of measuring axial force on the model. Shadowgraph photography was used in the Mach 4 supersonic wind tunnel at the Naval Postgraduate School's Turbopropulsion Laboratory to verify predicted shock placement, and surface flow visualization was obtained of the airflow from fuel injection ports on the inlet cone of the model.
