A importância do objeto transicional no desenvolvimento psíquico sadio

No. of bitstreams: 1 000019945.pdf: 3088509 bytes, checksum: 1d1a064954efead64e391dd9875ac88d (MD5) / The transitional object is a mediator between mother and son, oneself and the environment, interior world and exterior world. The 'ordinary devoted mother' will permit this object and across it the child will pass from a stage of illusion to a stage of disillusion, from the relationship with the object to the use of it. The passage from the pleasure principle to the reality principle permitted by the good mother through an active adaptation with the child, will facilitate a capacity of a creative playing in a potential space. The game with people where there will exist friends and enemies will only happen through this creative playing. In order that exists a development of the separation-individuation process it is necessary the existence of a transitional object in its healthful shape as something that calms the anxiety. Therefore the importance of the availability of the mother and of the transitional object in order that all the healthful psychical development happens; the importance of a continuity in the care of the child and a consequent confidence in the mother to be well born her absence; and that in the dependency to a direction to independency process the child can continue secure and happy because of this separation or independency of mother and son at the same time. As it doesn't occurs in a healthful way, that is, if the mother or the environment, are not good enough it may exist in the child and later in the adult, of a transitional object being his body and later on an fixed idea. What is more important in all this is that the transitional object exists and that it could be permitted in all its plenitude without interruptions. The process must be carried out up to the end that is, up to the point that the object simply loses its meaning and doesn't remain forgotten or repressed. The object must be reduced only to a level of significant. The time it will last will vary from child to child, from mother to mother, from environment to environment. And this will not have much importance. What will be important will be only that it can be permitted exist and if the process is concluded, the child will have a healthfull psychical development and he will be able, through life, to be selfconfident and be confident in the people that are around him. He will be able to be a 'total being' ready to face and consider the external world.

Muro Mesones Valdez, María Lucía 05 September 2014 (has links)
The present study seeks to investigate the possible presence of the Transitional Object in adolescence. We aimed to investigate the characteristics of the adolescents that have these objects, as well as the experiences and characteristics of the Transitional Object. The concept of the Transitional Object proposed by Winnicott was used, since other specific definitions for this phenomenon in later stages after childhood were not found. The discussion also focused in the pertinence of the concept of Transitional Objects beyond childhood and the significance that this would imply. We performed a qualitative study with a thematic analysis of the reports provided by the 7 adolescent participants. The interviews focused on the characteristics, history, function and meaning of the Transitional Object, as well as the characteristics of their owners. We found that adolescents that have a Transitional Object seem to present characteristics that indicate certain degree of vulnerability and a lower degree of well-being. The results of this study are similar to those found in other previous investigations. We consider that it could be convenient to differentiate the persistence of this phenomenon beyond childhood, proposing as an alternative: Transitional Object Chronification. / Tesis

O VÍNCULO POR UM FIO: A TOXICOMANIA COMO OBJETO TRANSICIONAL

No. of bitstreams: 1 FABIO PEREIRA ALVES.pdf: 201664 bytes, checksum: 718e7efb9c550a5fe0196ea09029b588 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2005-10-17 / Based on psychoanalysis, the present work has as its objective to study the family ties between a drug addict and his family. According to DSM-IV, the medical nosography insists on considering drug addiction a disease; however, would that be one of the causes or just the consequence of other pathologies? On the other hand, drug addiction seems to be what some authors call “modernity excesses”. This way, it is regarded as a sign of abuse, of law breaking; that is, it is the absence of reference points, limits, rules. The drugs say what cannot be said (Olievenstein, 1989), they expose the susceptible family ties. They sustain an identification in the emptiness, without a body, they are the sign of what is “missing”. A drug addicted recognizes in the abstinence what is lacking, that is why he dedicates himself completely to this cause that is why drug addiction exists (Rassial, 1999). Through the psychoanalytical listening process, two clinical interviews were held in two different moments: first with the father and later with his addict son. The results show family ties as a “transitional object”; ties that put in evidence the fragile link between father and son. This fragility is the result of the poor identification of the subject with the object, what seems to end up in the son’s fixation on a position of demand, a position between primary narcissism and the entrance in the Oedipus. The results make us suppose that the transitional object’s paradigm is an important theoretical model that enables the understanding and the clinical intervention in cases of drug addiction.
