The last proposal part also describes the proposals for a new commercial and warehouse operation, for which the company has decided.

Strategies for Improving the Process of Lean Implementation in Health Care

The Canadian health care system is a complex system under pressure due to an aging population. The annual health care budget has decreased, posing challenges for health care administrators. The purpose of this qualitative study, which was grounded in Deming's total quality management system framework, was to explore strategies 6 health care managers used to implement Lean initiatives to reduce health care costs in the province of Ontario, Canada. Data were collected through semistructured interviews and analyzed in accordance with Yin's approach, which includes compiling data, disassembling, reassembling, and interpreting data, and drawing conclusions. Four themes emerged from data analysis: the review of operational processes can reduce health care costs, specific management skills can reduce health care costs, employee engagement can have a positive impact on health care costs, and alignment can have a positive impact on health care costs. Findings from this study may contribute to positive social change by providing health care managers with successful strategies to improve operational processes and reduce health care costs, increase patient safety, and reduce negative patient outcomes. The results further contribute to positive social change by highlighting the importance of having employees participate in process improvement, which may improve employee and patient satisfaction in the community.

Impacto financiero de la identificación y valoración de riesgos de incorrección de las MYPEs para la gestión de recursos y procesos operativos del sector comercial textil en la Asociación “Señor de Luren”, del 2017

En el presente trabajo de investigación se analizó la determinación del Impacto Financiero de la Identificación y Valoración de Riesgos de Incorrección de las MYPEs para la Gestión de Recursos y Procesos Operativos del Sector Comercial Textil en la Asociación “Señor de Luren”; tomando como referencia la aplicación de la NIA 315. El tipo de investigación fue analítica, descriptiva y de campo. La población estudiada para el análisis cuantitativo se compone de 115 microempresas dedicadas al comercio textil en la Asociación Comercial “Señor de Luren”; asimismo, la población para el estudio cualitativo se compone de tres especialistas del rubro. Además, se realizó el análisis de tres casos en la cual cada empresa cumple con ciertos procedimientos particulares para un mayor entendimiento en la investigación. Se utilizó una muestra con un nivel de confianza del 0.95. Los datos fueron analizados con estadística descriptiva. Los resultados arrojaron que el 100% de los encuestados no tienen mapeados sus controles; sin embargo, aplican algunos de ellos por la experiencia que llevan en el rubro. Los microempresarios presentan deficiencias en las políticas contables; así como ineficiencia en la gestión de riesgos. Se recomienda implementar las mejoras propuestas para la Identificación y Valoración de Riesgos de Incorrección en las MYPEs y poder contar con una óptima Gestión de Recursos y de Procesos Operativos. / In the present work of investigation the determination of the Financial Impact of the Identification and Assessment of Risks of Improvement of the mechanisms for the Resource Management and Operational Processes of the Textile Trade Sector in the Association "Señor de Luren" was analyzed; As a reference for the application of ISA 315. The type of research was analytical, descriptive and field. The population studied for the quantitative analysis is composed of 115 micro enterprises dedicated to textile trade in the "Señor de Luren" Commercial Association; likewise, the population for the qualitative study is composed of three specialists of the sector. In addition, an analysis has been made of the cases in which each company meets the particular requirements for a better understanding of the research. A sample with a confidence level of 0.95 is shown. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics. The results showed that 100% of respondents do not have their controls mapped; however, in the case of the experience they have in the field. Microentrepreneurs have deficiencies in accounting policies; As well as inefficiency in risk management. ITIL i praktiken - En studie av problem, dess orsaker och hur de kan hanteras / ITIL in practice – A study of problem, causes and solutions

Omvärlden förändras i en allt snabbare takt, vilket också försvårar driften av organisationer. Detta leder till ökad komplexitet av verksamheters applikationer och ökar kraven på IT-tjänsterna. Fokus behöver därför skiftas från den traditionella synen på IT och IT-förvaltning till en mer kund och tjänsteorienterad syn vilket kallas för IT Service Management (ITSM). Inom ITSM finns det ett antal ramverk och IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) är det mest populära. ITIL är ett ramverk som fokuserar på processer och funktioner för att leverera och hantera en verksamhets IT-tjänster. ITIL syftar till att skapa fördelar såsom att förbättra tjänstekvalitén, minska kostnader, bli mer tidseffektiva, skapa bättre standarder och i slutändan förbättra kundnöjdheten.Det finns dock ett antal problem som verksamheter stöter på vid användningen av ITIL. För att kunna utnyttja och ta del av de fördelar som ITIL bidrar med, är det viktigt att kunna hantera dessa problem. Ett vanligt misstag är dock att fokus läggs på symptomen istället för den grundläggande orsaken. Syftet är därför att få en helhetsförståelse för de problem som uppstår vid användandet av ITIL, vilka orsakerna är och hur de kan hanteras. För att besvara frågeställningen utfördes en kvalitativ undersökning via semi-strukturerade intervjuer med tre respondenter som har praktisk erfarenhet av ITIL.Intervjuerna visade att respondenterna till stora delar plockade fram liknande problem, och att många av dem grundar sig i samma orsak. Exempel på problem som identifierades var att många hoppar över de strategiska processerna och att det råder en missuppfattning gällande ITIL. Den vanligaste orsaken visade sig vara okunskap, och att de inte vet hur det skall användas. Ett annat problem var att tjänsteleverantören inte efterföljer de införda ITIL-processerna och en orsak till detta visade sig vara att verksamheter har svårt att påvisa nyttan med ITIL. Detta visade sig kunna hanteras genom att analysera mätningar och använda dessa som underlag för att förklara varför ramverket används. / The world is changing rapidly, which complicates the management of organizations and leads to an increased complexity of an organisations applications as well as increased demands. Therefore the focus needs to change from the traditional aproach of IT-management to a more customer and service oriented view, which is called IT Service Management (ITSM). Within ITSM there is a couple of frameworks and standars, and the most popular is IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL). ITIL is a framework that focus on processes and functions to deliver and manage an organizations IT-services. ITIL aims to create advantages such as improved service quality, reduced costs, to be more time-efficient, create better standards which leads to improved customer satisfaction.However, there are a number of problems that businesses encounter when using ITIL. In order to utilize and take advantage of the benefits that ITIL is supposed to create, it is important to deal with these problems. However, a common mistake is to focus on the symptoms rather than the root cause. Therefore the aim of this study is to offer a holistic view of the problems arising from the use of ITIL, what the causes are and how they can be managed. To answer theese questions a qualitative study was conducted using semi-structured interviews with three respondents that have practical experience of ITIL.The analysis showed that the respondents identified similar problems, and that many of them are based in the same cause. Examples of identified problems is that it´s common to ignore the strategic processes and that there is a misconception regarding ITIL. The most common cause were found to be lack of knowledge, and that they don´t know how to use the framework. Another identified problem is that the service provider does not comply with the introduced ITIL processes. One of the reasons for this proved to be that the organizations have difficulties to demonstrate the value of ITIL to the staff working with the processes. One way to manage this problem appeared to be by analyzing the metrics and use this as a basis to explain why the framework is used.

El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como finalidad determinar el nivel de influencia del liderazgo transformacional en la toma de decisiones dentro de las comisarías de la Policía Nacional del Perú. De esta forma se delimitó geográficamente el distrito de San Juan de Lurigancho y se desarrolló toda la investigación en las áreas operativas de las comisarías. Se realizó una investigación no experimental de corte transaccional y transversal con un enfoque mixto; es decir, para la presente investigación no se manipularán las variables de investigación (X: Liderazgo transformacional / Y: Toma de Decisiones) y se recogió la información de un sólo periodo de tiempo, el año 2019. Se usaron herramientas cuantitativas y cualitativas con una muestra de once comisarías del distrito; 637 policías encuestados y once Comandantes y Mayores entrevistados. Los resultados de la investigación arrojan que sí influye el liderazgo transformacional en la toma de decisiones en los procesos operativos dentro de las comisarías de San Juan de Lurigancho en el año 2019. El análisis de las encuestas y los datos de las entrevistas rechazan la hipótesis nula planteada y permite confirmar el título de nuestra investigación. Por último, se sugiere realizar mayor seguimiento a los líderes de las comisarías, además de brindarles charlas de coaching de liderazgo, actitud y trabajo en equipo. / The purpose of this research work is to determine the level of influence of transformational leadership in decision making within the National Police of Perú police stations. In this way, the district of San Juan de Lurigancho was defined geographically and all the research was carried out in the operational areas of the police stations. A non-experimental transactional and cross-sectional investigation was conducted with a mixed approach; that is, for the present investigation the research variables will not be manipulated (X: Leadership / Y: Decision Making) and the information of a single period was collected, 2019. Quantitative and qualitative tools were used with a sample of eleven police stations district; 637 police officers surveyed, and eleven commanders and generals interviewed. The results of the research show that transformational leadership does influence decision-making in operational processes within the police stations of San Juan de Lurigancho in 2019. The analysis of the surveys and the data from the interviews reject the null hypothesis raised and allows us to confirm the title of our research. Finally, it is suggested that the leaders of the police stations be monitored further, in addition to giving them leadership, attitude and teamwork coaching talks. / Tesis

La presente investigación tiene por objetivo, exponer los factores que hacen necesaria la implementación de Business Intelligence con el fin de mejorar la toma de decisiones, que influyen directamente en la eficiencia de los procesos operativos de importación del sector Diagnóstica. Esta investigación se divide en 5 capítulos, en las que se usó el método científico detallado en el libro Metodología de la Investigación, el cual presenta a la investigación como un proceso sistemático, los capítulos están comprendidos por marco teórico, plan de investigación, metodología, desarrollo y aplicación, y análisis de los resultados. Asimismo, se busca identificar que, con esta herramienta informática, se podrá tener la posibilidad de mejorar los procesos operativos de importación. Para finalizar, se comprobará la relación existente entre las dos variables estudiadas Business Intelligence para la mejor toma de decisiones y la eficiencia de los Procesos Operativos, con el fin optimizar la cadena de valor y presentar una herramienta de innovación para el mundo de los negocios internacionales. Para ello, se realizaron análisis cuantitativos y cualitativos, y se empleó la herramienta de SPSS para mostrar el Análisis Factorial y Discriminante. / The objective of this research is to expose the factors that make it necessary to implement Business Intelligence in order to improve decision making, which directly influence the efficiency of the importation processes of the Diagnostic sector.
