Konsekvenser av leanifiering inom tjänsteorganisationer : En kvalitativ studie av professionella B2B-tjänster

Öst, Hannah, Ridne, Martina January 2015 (has links)

Lean inom den offentliga sektorn : Tänkbara hinder för ett långsiktigt Lean-arbete / Lean in the public sector : Potential barriers to a long-term Lean work

Björklund, Johanna, Sarah, Gustafsson January 2014 (has links)
One year Master's thesis, Degree of master in Business and Economics, School ofBusiness and Economics at Linnaeus University, Management, 4FE10E SpringSemester 2014.Author: Johanna Björklund and Sarah Gustafsson.Mentor: Magnus Forslund.Title: Lean in the public sector - Potential barriers to a long-term Lean work. Background: Organizational changes are something that is constantly done inorganizations, and in the last decade, there has arisen a plethora of different changemodels. A reorganization that is popular among companies today is Lean. Lean is aconcept that was developed within the Japanese automotive industry, but has evolvedfrom the Japanese shop floor and is now a concept that can be found in, for example, several Swedish municipalities.Purpose: The purpose of this study was to create an understanding of why the conceptLean may have difficulty getting a hold in the in the long term.Methodology: The study was done with a qualitative research approach and through anabductive approach. As we intended to create an understanding, of what potentialbarriers that may affect that a Lean work, in some cases, does not become a long-termcondition, it seemed natural to choose a hermeneutic approach to knowledge. Theempirical data collected via individual unstructured interviews, through a groupinterview, and by non-participant observations. Our collection of theoretical materialconsisted mostly of scientific articles or books written by Academics, because we feltthat the writer that was behind these articles were considered to be reliable. We believethat consultants and other writers stand and fall with Lean's survival and reliabilitytherefore falls.Result, conclusions: That there are some barriers to get Lean-work to become a longtermwork, both we and the theory agree about. The factors we could find at thedepartment Financial assistance and employment was that; there are some resistance to4the concept among the employees, the management has difficulties to "let go ofcontrol", lack of employee management and that there are a saturation of the concept.

Can you Lean on it?

Björk, Stephanie, Lindgren, Louise January 2015 (has links)
Lean-ledarskap förekommer i viss grad inom organisationen. / Background: Today is the focus on efficiency in many organizations. The tool we have chosen to take a closer look at are Lean, a tool that deals with the efficiency within organizations. Purpose: The study’s purpose is to gain a greater understanding of the Lean concept in Statoil. The study intends to explore how the effort of Lean works today and how a possible follow-up has been completed. Theory: The study’s theory includes two tools of Lean that the survey unit has worked with since the implementation. Further discuss the definitions of Lean leadership in the theoretical framework. Method: The study was based on a qualitative approach in the form of semi- structured interviews and questionnaires. Analysis & conclusion: The Lean-concept is applied to some extent within the organization. The models we have examined are less used today than in 2006 when the implementation of Lean conducted within the survey unit. Lean leadership occurs to some degree in the organization.

Structuring Lean Thinking in the Radio Access Network Area

Juarez, Maribel January 2014 (has links)
Customer’ demands, higher quality, faster and safer deliveries are some reasons for unexpected changes in the organizations. It has incremented complexity and cost. Lean production is known as a methodology to make improvements in manufacturing areas such as mentioned above and it is focused on the process of a product. But, Lean Thinking is a management strategy to make improvements in the process of a product or service and it is based on five principles. It allows having the process close to the customer eliminates tasks that do not add value and produces with low costs and high quality. However, there are some concepts ambiguous to be applied effectively to the Radio Access Network area in wireless telecom industry as a service company. Radio Access Network area transmits Radio frequency (RF) signals from the Radio Base Station (RBS) to the user equipment (UE) or mobile phone and is an area to present dynamic changes by high technology innovation. Therefore, the aim of this study is to identify improvements through for the Radio Access Network area. This thesis was structured to know how the five Lean principles and Lean tools can be used in the Radio Access Network area and the benefits that it could have. The study was realized through a qualitative research and five semi-structured interviews. A manager, team leaders and engineers of wireless telecom industry vendor and operators were the participants for this study. The results of major impact for Lean principles and Lean tools were VSM and Flow principles and Waste as Lean tool found for the Radio Access Network area. Project definition, resource planning and VOC were some improvements revealed for VSM principle. Furthermore, faster and optimal tools, training for engineers, knowledge in software and employee empowerment were some improvements found for Flow principle. Waste Lean tool showed some improvements found on customer’s focus, clear communication and waiting time reduction. Cross functional teams were other aspects that provided quality performance in the projects. This study seemingly is a good start for making decisions and for the high technology innovation and dynamic changes for telecom service companies.

Lean Production vs Lean Healthcare : En jämförelse inom sjukvården

Camber, Henrik January 2014 (has links)
This thesis focuses on how to describe how Lean adapts within the healthcare. Lean has become a control system   as more and more companies are using in order to create competition in order to increase the quality and efficiency. This theory has now become implemented in the healthcare. The project has been organized with patients and that has created a flow in the daily work. Our study has used qualitative research strategy where we have started from secondary data presented for hospitals in the Stockholm area and a report written by John Rognes and Anna Svarts “Lean i vården” (2011). To map which hospitals are using Lean. The purpose is to identify how lean production has been implemented into four hospitals in the Stockholm area, to study how the difference are between the hospitals version of Lean compare to the fundamental, Lean production. The study describe that Lean within the healthcare is not so different compared to Lean Production in the industry. But the big different is that Lean within the healthcare is more focused on the patients and their process during the hospital visit. Lean Production is more focused on the production to the final product.

Bertani, Thiago Moreno 14 September 2012 (has links)
The production system that focuses on eliminating waste and generating value for the customer has already demonstrated its power on manufacturing sector and now is beginning to draw the attention of industry goods and services. An increasing focus, in particular, is being given to the application of lean concepts in the health sector, commonly known as Lean Healthcare. The literature contains several cases of hospitals that began their lean journey and most have good results. This paper aims to examine some of these cases, report a practical application conducted by the author and, as a result, to contribute with recommendations for future implementations of lean concepts in hospitals.
