Procesní řízení - procesní modelování / Business Process Management - Process Modeling

Kupka, Tomáš January 2015 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the topic of Business Process Management, its development and fundamental paradigms in the field of BPM as BPR. The thesis also compares approaches to BPM. Furthermore, it defines the term "process" and describes its classification. The thesis also explains the concept of the process-driven organization, including its characteristics. An integral part of the thesis is the explanation of the holistic approach to BPM and its technical aspect, i.e. the business process modeling which deals with creating the diagrams classified by basic principles of object orientation. The thesis introduces general modeling language UML and its specification in the form of notation BPMN and Eriksson-Penker. Also there are shown few examples of diagrams used in the BPM. All of these findings are then used in the constructing of process models and diagrams in the defined research area of the particular organization.

RBPMN: A role-based BPMN for integrating structure and behavior models

Skouti, Tarek 14 January 2021 (has links)
Digitalization transforms business processes substantially due to increasing customer demands for flexibility, new technologies (e.g., Intelligent Technologies) and emerging markets. Business process models are used to understand current processes and provide guidance for process improvements. A role-based extension of the de-facto standard business process modeling language BPMN is proposed that can support the business transformation and other modeling challenges. Bachmann and Daya (1977) introduced roles, which provide the basis for the extension. Steimann (2000) and Kühn (2017) increased the understanding of roles and provided an overview of roles' versatility. This work incorporates roles in business process modeling, thereby closing the gap between structural and behavioral modeling.:Contents List of figures II List of tables III 1 Introduction 1 2 Background 1 3 Business Process Modeling Challenges 3 3.1 Variety of Performers 3 3.2 Adaptability 4 3.3 Context-Awareness 4 4 Proposing Roles as a Solution 5 5 The Role-based Business Process Model and Notation 7 5.1 BPMN Extension Mechanism 8 5.2 Composition of Roles in a Business Process 9 5.2.1 Active Roles 9 5.2.2 Passive Roles 9 5.3 Connector Elements 10 5.3.1 Role Prohibition 10 5.3.2 Role Inheritance 10 5.3.3 Role Condition 10 5.4 Location Role 10 5.5 Role Start Event 10 5.6 Gateways 11 5.7 RBPMN Syntax 11 5.8 Process Role Hierarchy 12 6 Role-Feature Integration 12 7 Modeling Case Study 14 8 Discussion 16 9 Conclusion 17 10 Acknowledgments 18 References IV

[en] INTEGRATING INTENTIONAL MODELING TO PROCESS MODELING / [pt] INTEGRANDO MODELAGEM INTENCIONAL À MODELAGEM DE PROCESSOS

HENRIQUE PRADO SOUSA 24 July 2012 (has links)
[en] The business processes modeling is used by companies who wish to document details of the execution flow of their processes, resulting in a document rich in details about the business. This artifact is also used by the Software Engineering for system requirements elicitation. The intentional modeling is focused on objectives - defined as goals and softgoals - and registers the strategies that may be followed by an actor in a way to better meet their needs, mapping the tasks and resources needs, in addition, it also addresses the dependencies between actors. It is important that business processes models are aligned to the objectives of the organization in order to provide reliable information source that generates consequently requirements aligned to business. Several tools are available on the market in order to support the business processes and organizational objectives modeling, however, it’s possible to realize that the available solutions are still incomplete when it comes to the integration of process models and goals models and ways to check the alignment between organizational goals and processes using the models. In the organizational architecture, business processes and goals are intrinsically interdependent, however, the current modeling languages treat process and goals in a misaligned way, since there are deficiencies in the integration between the modeling layer of objectives and processes. Thus, the use of the available tools that supports these language and methods greatly complicates the task of identify if the processes used to generate products and services truly achieve the organizational goals as well as the impact of the changes in the goals would cause in business processes. In this paper we integrated a goal modeling language to a business processes modeling language and proved the elements and methods needed to expand the capacity of analysis of the alignment between the business processes and the organizational strategies.

Modeling and Analysis of Mobile Service Processes by Example of the Housing Industry

Gruhn, Volker, Köhler, André, Klawes, Robert 30 January 2019 (has links)
This article describes the method of Mobile Process Landscaping by example of a project in which the service processes of a company from the housing industry were analyzed regarding their mobile potential. This analysis was conducted with the aim to organize these processes more efficiently in order to realize cost savings. Therefore, the method of Mobile Process Landscaping, which is introduced in this article, was used. The method refers to the stage of requirements engineering in the software process. It is shown how the initial situation of the company was analyzed, which alternative process models on the basis of mobility supporting technology were developed and how these alternatives were economically evaluated. Furthermore, it is shown how first restrictions for the software and system design were made on the basis of one process model. Finally, it is shown how the Mobile Process Landscaping method can be used to verify whether the adoption of mobility supporting technology is suitable to obtain a defined goal and which requirements such a solution needs to fulfill.
