O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar como a Matemática é mobilizada, segundo a coleção, em relação a uma concepção de trabalho, quando este surge como tema. Nossa metodologia de pesquisa teve inspiração no referencial metodológico da Hermenêutica de Profundidade, de John B. Thompson, e nos Paratextos Editoriais, de Gérard Genette, além de trabalhos que utilizaram essas metodologias para análise de livros didáticos e não didáticos. Traçamos um breve panorama da educação de adultos no Brasil e, especificamente, no estado de São Paulo, sobre livros didáticos de Matemática para esta modalidade de ensino, além de uma análise dos livros de Matemática da coleção EJA Mundo do Trabalho. / The present research is an analysis of a set of Math textbooks, part of EJA – “Mundo do Trabalho” collection, joined to the EJA – “Mundo do Trabalho” Program, distributed by Secretary of State of Education of São Paulo. The aim of this research is to analize how math is mobilized, when it appears in situations related to the main theme of the collection (work). We use the methodological reference of Hermeneutics of Depht by John B. Thompson and Editorial Paratexts by Gérard Genette, besides other studies which used these methodologies for the analysing of textbooks and books. We sketched a brief overview about adults’ education in Brazil and in São Paulo State, also forusing adults’ education Math textbooks.

É fato que o livro mudou a forma de organização e transmissão do pensamento e conhecimento ao longo dos séculos, como também é de saber notório que, desde o surgimento da imprensa, seus modos de feitura e circulação se alteraram consideravelmente, passando a interferir na produção artística e intelectual dos escritores. Tomando o livro como objeto central, este trabalho pretende refletir sobre como a composição editorial carrega sentidos anteriores à própria compreensão e leitura do texto; sentidos evidenciados pelos elementos paratextuais que compõem a edição, tais como capa, nome do livro, autoria da obra, release e textos complementares. Para tanto, partiu-se do contexto de recepção da literatura brasileira na Argentina nos anos 2000, no qual se observou o surgimento da coleção Vereda Brasil (Ediciones Corregidor), publicada em uma editora privada cujo contexto de fundação associa-se ao trabalho docente empreendido por Florencia Garramuño e Gonzalo Aguilar na cátedra de Literatura Brasileira e Portuguesa da Universidad de Buenos Aires. A partir da análise dos paratextos dos dois primeiros exemplares que compunham a referida coleção, uma seleta de textos de Oswald de Andrade intitulada Escritos antropófagos e o romance de Graciliano Ramos, Vidas secas, nota-se que tais construções textuais evidenciam tanto o contexto fundacional da coleção, vinculado à cátedra de dita universidade, quanto as premissas do mercado editorial independente argentino, como a segmentação do público e as restrições econômicas para a publicação do livro, aspectos que fazem com que este projeto editorial seja caracterizado pela intersecção entre o mercado editorial e a pesquisa acadêmica. / It is a fact that the book has changed the manners of organization and transmission of thought and knowledge through the last centuries, just as it is well known that, ever since the emergence of press, the means of making and making circulate books have altered considerably, starting to interfere writers artistic and intellectual production. Taking the book as a central object, this work intends to think about how the editorial composition carries older senses than the understanding and reading of a text themselves; aspects highlighted by the para-textual elements which are a part of the edition process, such as cover, title, authorship, release and complementary texts. Therefore, the departure of this Dissertation takes place on the paradigm of Brazilian Literature\'s reception in Argentina during the 2000s, from when comes out the collection Vereda Brasil (Ediciones Corregidor), released by a private publishing house whose founding context is associated with Florencia Garramuño and Gonzalo Aguilar\'s teaching posts on the Brazilian and Portuguese Literature area at Universidad de Buenos Aires. Based on an analysis of the para-texts found in its first two copies, a select of Oswald de Andrade\'s works named Escritos antropófagos and Graciliano Ramos\'s novel Vidas secas, it is possible to verify that such textual constructions evidence not only the foundation circumstances of the referred collection, bounded to that University\'s teaching posts, but also the premises of Argentinian\'s independent publishing market, without mentioning its public\'s segmentation and economic restrictions when it comes to the production process of a book characteristics responsible for making it a publishing project distinguished by the intersection of publishing market and academic research.

O tema foi inserido no currículo escolar brasileiro em 1942 e tal obra, de autoria de Euclides Roxo, Haroldo Lisbôa da Cunha, Roberto Peixoto e Cesar Dacorso Netto, entrou em circulação, no mercado editorial nacional, logo após decretada a Lei Orgânica do Ensino Secundário. Para tanto, optou-se por compor uma versão histórica sobre tal abordagem na série Matemática 2º ciclo. Com inspiração no referencial metodológico da Hermenêutica de Profundidade e dos Paratextos Editoriais, realizou-se uma análise sócio-histórica a partir da década de 1930 a fim de compreender e apresentar situações sociais e políticas da época e suas relações com a publicação da obra; uma análise discursiva e comparativa de edições dessa obra, visando compreender e descrever os conteúdos nela abordados relativos ao tema, bem como apresentar plausibilidades para as transformações e adaptações detectadas; e, por fim, uma reinterpretação dos dois primeiros momentos de análise de modo a apresentar uma síntese das compreensões sobre a obra neste trabalho. Dentre as compreensões resultantes dessas análises destacamos: a vinculação direta dos autores Haroldo Lisbôa da Cunha e Euclides Roxo à elaboração dos programas instituídos por meio das reformas educacionais da época; a obra Matemática 2º Ciclo é fortemente caracterizada pela fragmentação na abordagem dos conteúdos (Álgebra, Geometria e Geometria Analítica), possivelmente resultante do alijeiramento da publicação, por sua vez impulsionada pela reforma Capanema; alterações e transformações na abordagem dos números complexos, sobretudo na edição de 1946, pelas sugestões dos professores do país que utilizaram a primeira edição do livro, e mais fortemente a partir da edição de 1955, com a instituição do Programa Mínimo (1951), quando os números complexos deixam de ser um tema de destaque como nas primeiras edições e passa a ser desenvolvido junto ao tema dos polinômios. / This research aims to understand not only the approach to complex numbers, but also the transformation and modifications along the 1944, 1946, 1949, 1955, and 1956 editions of the book 'Matemática 2º ciclo'. The subject was added to Brazilian school curriculum in 1942 and the book, written by Euclides Roxo, Harold Lisbôa da Cunha, Roberto Peixoto and Cesar Dacorso Netto, came entered circulation, in the national publishing Market, soon after the enactment of ‘Lei Orgânica do Ensino Secundário’ (Organic Law of Secondary Education). Therefore, we chose to create a historical version on such an approach for the book series 'Matemática 2ºciclo'. Inspired by the methodological referential of Depth Hermeneutics and Editorial Paratexts, we conducted a social-historical analysis starting in the 1930's in order to understand and present social and political situations of the time and its relations with the publication of the work; a discursive and comparative analysis of the book's editions, aiming to understand and depict the content related to the subject, as well as to show the suitability of all detected transformations and adaptations; and, finally, a reinterpretation of the two first moments of analysis to present a summary of our understanding about the book in this research. Among the results of these analyses, we highlighted: the direct connection of authors Haroldo Lisbôa da Cunha and Euclides Roxo to the program design established through a means of the educational reforms of that time; the book 'Matemática 2º Ciclo' is strongly marked by the fragmentation on content approach (Algebra, Geometry, and Analytical Geometry), possibly resulting from publishing streamlining, in turn driven by the Capanema Reform; modifications and transformations on the approach of complex numbers, especially in the 1946 edition, at the suggestions of the country's teachers, who used the book's first edition and, more heavily, after the 1955 edition, with the establishment of the 'Programa Mínimo' (Minimum Program, 1951), when complex numbers were no longer a highlighted theme as they were in the previous editions and were now developed along polynomials.

[pt] O texto literário pode hoje ser encontrado em diferentes plataformas, tornando-se acessível no computador, em tablets e até em celulares. Os paratextos editoriais, definidos por Gérard Genette como aparatos que giram em torno do texto principal de um livro, têm acompanhado estes deslocamentos. Sem deixar de exercer suas antigas funções, eles assumem outros formatos e proliferam no ambiente virtual, tendo muitas vezes mais acessos do que o texto da própria obra, considerado principal, veiculado frequentemente na plataforma impressa. Nesta dissertação, abordaremos os paratextos não só como um fenômeno de mercado que concede uma importância crescente à figura do autor, mas também à luz das quebras na hierarquização dos discursos provocadas pela tecnologia digital. Editorial paratexts, defined by Gerard Genette as devices which gravitate around the body text of a book, have followed this shift. Not abandoning their former purposes, they have taken on other formats and have spread around the web. These paratexts are often more accessed than the actual text of the literary work, which is considered the principal part, frequently published and made available in print. This dissertation approaches paratexts not only as a market phenomenon, which grants the image of the author a growing importance, but also as a breach of discourse hierarchy, fueled by digital technology. Nessas edições mais recentes, os textos exclusivamente verbais de autores-escritores brasileiros canônicos transformam-se em textos híbridos verbo-visuais pelo trabalho dos autoresilustradores Nelson Cruz, Marcelo Ribeiro e Odilon Moraes, e pela iniciativa dos editores. Com base nos pressupostos da Teoria Semiolinguística de Análise do Discurso, eixo teórico-metodológico desta pesquisa, e, subsidiariamente, nos estudos dos paratextos editoriais, na Semiótica da imagem visual, bem como nos estudos da interação palavraimagem no livro ilustrado e no livro com ilustração, pretende-se demonstrar como esses textos, reeditados na primeira década do século XXI, com ilustrações de autoresilustradores brasileiros consagrados, integram contratos de comunicação literários que se renovam. A hipótese é a de que a ocorrência de tal processo de renovação deve-se, principalmente, à transformação dos textos verbais em textos híbridos verbo-visuais; à redefinição dos parceiros iniciadores do processo de produção da encenação narrativa com a inclusão dos autores-ilustradores; à redefinição dos parceiros do processo de interpretação da encenação narrativa com a inclusão do leitor criança, em virtude de sua inscrição nos textos híbridos como leitor destinatário, inscrição essa não prevista nos contratos anteriores; à intensificação dos efeitos de sentido visados a partir tanto da conformação dos paratextos editoriais, que constituem a mise-en-scène material e discursiva dos livros correspondentes aos contratos de comunicação renovados, quanto da interação entre as partes verbal e visual dos textos. Com isso, os livros correspondentes aos contratos de comunicação literários renovados estariam identificados com a literatura de potencial destinação infantil / This paper of qualitative and interdisciplinary nature linked to the area of Language Studies has as its main objective the investigation of the renewal ways of different literary contracts of communication corresponding to the most recent editions of three texts, two short stories – Conto de escola by Machado de Assis and De cima para baixo by Artur Azevedo – and one chronicle – Será o Benedito! by Mário de Andrade –, written between the last quarter of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century. In these most recent editions, the exclusively verbal texts of canonical Brazilian writer-authors are transformed into verbal-visual hybrid texts by the work of illustrator-authors such as Nelson Cruz, Marcelo Ribeiro and Odilon Moraes, and by the editors’ initiative. Based on the assumptions of the Semiolinguistic Theory of Discourse Analysis, which is the theoretical-methodological framework of this investigation, and also based, in a subsidiary way, on the studies of the editorial paratexts, on the Semiotics of the visual image, as well as on the studies of the word-image interaction in picturebooks and in the book with illustration, this paper intends to demonstrate how these texts, reprinted in the first decade of the twenty-first century, with illustrations by acclaimed Brazilian illustrator-authors, integrate literary contracts of communication that are renewed. The hypothesis is that the occurrence of this renewal process is mainly due to the transformation of the verbal texts into hybrid verbal-visual texts; the redefinition of the initiating partners of the production process of the narrative staging by including the illustrator-authors; the redefinition of the partners of the process of interpretation of the narrative mise-en-scène by including children readers, because of their integration in the hybrid texts as target readers, a hypothesis which was not incorporated in the previous contracts; the intensification of meaning effects aimed at both the conformation of the editorial paratexts, which constitute the material and discursive mise-en-scène of the books corresponding to the renewed contracts of communication, and the interaction between the verbal and visual parts of the texts. Thus, the books corresponding to the renewed literary contracts of communication would be identified as literature potentially targeted for children readers
