This study presents the results of research conducted at the Municipal Historical Museum of Pinhal Grande. This creation is for the Professional Master's Degree thesis in Cultural Heritage at the Federal University of Santa Maria. The project proposal "Revitalization of the Historical Museum of the City of Pinhal Grande - RS" a determination came up in search of answers to the innocence of the local population of the institution and also to ensure the preservation of the important collection that the museum owns. The investigation included local history, identifying the elements of constitution and the formation of the town of Pinhal Grande as a form of understanding the part of the museum in the custody issue. Although the study of local history was possible to highlight some aspects of the 16 communities that make up the Council, stressing the strong religious presence in the management of social activities in each region. The question of heritage, identity and memory have also entered the agenda for better understanding of the heritage museum. This article is divided as follows: First, it presents a historic town of Pinhal Grande, as a way of understanding the constitution of the body. Here are some questions raised regarding the changes that the cultural heritage of Brazil had to understand and value the diversity that exists in Brazil. Finally, we describe the measures taken by the institution, the challenges encountered and to revitalize the local analysis of visual anthropology museum photographic collection / Este trabalho almeja apresentar os resultados da pesquisa que foi realizada no Museu Histórico Municipal de Pinhal Grande para a produção da dissertação do Mestrado Profissionalizante em Patrimônio Cultural da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria. A proposta do projeto A Revitalização do Museu Histórico Municipal de Pinhal Grande - RS surgiu na estimativa de buscar respostas para o desconhecimento da população local para com esta instituição e também no intuito de zelar pela conservação do significativo acervo que o Museu possui. A pesquisa consistiu na história local, identificando elementos da constituição e formação do município de Pinhal Grande como forma de entendimento das peças que o Museu em questão guarda. Ainda no estudo da história local foi possível salientar alguns aspectos das 16 comunidades, as quais formam o município, salientando a forte presença religiosa no gerenciamento das atividades sociais de cada região. A questão do patrimônio, da identidade e da memória também entraram em pauta para o melhor entendimento do patrimônio museológico. Este artigo está dividido da seguinte forma: Primeiro, é apresentado um histórico do município de Pinhal Grande, como forma de entendimento da constituição do acervo. Na sequência, são levantados alguns apontamentos referentes às transformações que o campo do patrimônio cultural brasileiro teve até entender e valorizar a diversidade cultural existente no Brasil. Por fim, são relatadas as ações realizadas na Instituição, os desafios encontrados para revitalizar o local e a análise da antropologia visual do acervo fotográfico do Museu.

As central street of Pelotas at least until the first half of the twentieth century, the 15th of November Street stood out as important focus for these different looks, understood as the window of a city that was intended modern, cultured and progressive / O presente trabalho tem por objetivo o estudo de uma referência cultural da cidade de Pelotas/RS, a Rua XV de Novembro, em seu trecho central, da Praça Coronel Pedro Osório até a Rua Voluntários daPátria, através da imprensa periódica local, expressa pelos jornais A Opinião Públicae Diário Popular, entre os anos de 1920 a 1950. Na época enfocada, esse trecho da via era visto como o principal espaço de comércio, cultura e lazer da cidade de Pelotas/RS. Três pontos foram destacados: o comércio, os passeios e o carnaval, elementos que caracterizam este espaço urbano como um referencial na história e na cultura pelotense. A partir dos periódicos, colunas, notas, crônicas e fotografias são entendidas como visões do urbano, partes consideráveis dos jornais dedicadas à cidade em seu cotidiano, seus problemas e suas transformações. Como via central de Pelotas pelo menos até a primeira metade do século XX, a Rua XV se destacou como enfoque importante para estes diferentes olhares, entendidacomo a vitrine de uma urbe que se pretendia moderna, culta e progressista
