This doctoral research aims to understand how foreign language teachers of deaf students recontextualise the Official Pedagogic Discourses from National Curriculum Standards for Foreign Language teaching Modernity- PCN-LE and other documents relating to Deaf Education in their teaching practices. It were used as methodological survey preliminnary questionnaires with deaf schools and inclusive schools for the deaf, on-line and face interviews with foreign language teachers of deaf students and documentary analysis with education plans from this discipline. The theoretical references that supported this study were based on the studies by Basil Bernstein (1996) on the theory of pedagogic device and recontextualising of the Official Pedagogic Discourse and Deaf Studies. In total, seventeen schools from different Brazilian regions responded to the questionnaire survey and eleven foreign language teachers of the deaf were interviewed. Regarding foreign language discipline of teaching plans were analyzed three planes coming from deaf schools in the South and Midwest. The data showed that the foreign language of deaf teachers use the PCN-LE and other documents relating to deaf education as a guide for their teaching, to the extent that only the PCN-LE does not allow guidance on foreign language teaching for deaf. The Grammar and Translation Method and Collaborative Teaching Languages appeared as the methods used by foreign language teachers for deaf students. Regarding the teaching plans, visible and invisible teaching practices proved to be evident and also two types of practice together. With regard to the concepts of classification and framework present in the plans, it was noticed that there is an inclination to a weak classification and weak framing because the teachers try to approach the daily lives of their students, weakening the barriers between teacher and student categories and run needs to teach the same. Thus, the deaf students have a degree of regulation of the teaching process. It is concluded that the foreign language teachers of the deaf, here surveyed, recontextualise the Official Pedagogical Discourses - DPOs (PCN-LE and other documents) from a recontextualising principle that served to make different systems in the understanding of teachers on how to teach a foreign language for the deaf.
