No âmbito das pesquisas envolvendo a temática do lazer virtual, bem pouco se tem debruçado atenção sobre a qualidade das informações específicas veiculadas, principalmente, em relação ao público idoso, instigando a atenção deste estudo. Este estudo, de natureza qualitativa, teve como objetivo a produção de uma base de dados, por intermédio de links contendo informações a respeito dos conteúdos culturais do lazer, neste caso, para a população idosa, além da elaboração e aplicação do Inventário de Avaliação de Usabilidade de Sites sobre Lazer (IAUSLA-21+). Esse instrumento foi dividido em duas partes, sendo a primeira referente à caracterização da amostra e a segunda composta por uma escala do tipo Likert, graduada em 5 pontos. O instrumento foi aplicado após vivências inclusivas no site, com uma amostra intencional de 60 sujeitos, de ambos os sexos, acima de 60 anos, familiarizados com o uso de computador e que se dispuseram a participar do estudo, pertencentes a programas de inclusão digital da cidade de Rio Claro-SP e São Paulo-SP. Os dados provenientes da aplicação dos instrumentos foram analisados de forma descritiva, por meio da utilização da Técnica de Análise de Conteúdo Temática e ilustrados numericamente, de modo percentual. Em relação ao layout, informação e operacionalização, os resultados reiteram que a base de dados construída atendeu aos objetivos do estudo, indicando boa usabilidade, porém, atualizações deverão ser realizadas sempre que necessário. Sugere-se que novas possibilidades referentes ao campo do lazer virtual sejam oferecidas aos idosos, no sentido de ampliar as perspectivas de vivências frente às novas tecnologias / Abstract: The evolutionary process of the Internet has expanded the membership to human virtual environment, which led the scientific community to make efforts to better understand the intrinsic qualities of this interaction. In the context of research involving the theme of virtual entertainment, little attention has been addressing the quality of information on specific vehicles, particularly in relation to senior public, arousing the attention of this study. Therefore, this qualitative study aimed to produce a database, through links to information about the cultural content of leisure in this case for the elderly, and the development and implementation of the Usability Evaluation of Recreation Sites Inventory (IAUSLA-21 +). The instrument was divided into two parts, the first referring to the characterization of the sample, and the second consisting of a Likert type scale, graduated in 5 points. The instrument was administered to an intentional sample of 60 subjects of both sexes over 60 years, familiar with computer use and that were willing to participate in the study, belonging to the Digital Inclusion Programs, at Rio Claro-SP and Sao Paulo-SP cities. Data from the application of the instruments were descriptively analyzed through the use of Thematic Content Analysis Technique and numerically illustrated by percentage. The results indicated that the built database met the objectives of the study, indicating good usability, but updates should be held whenever necessary. Therefore, it is suggested that new possibilities could be offered to the elderly, including those relating to leisure field, to broaden the perspectives of experiences facing the new technologies / Mestre

Orientador: Augusto Caccia-Bava Júnior. / Resumo: Este trabalho procurou investigar os aspectos preponderantes existentes nas representações dos jovens na elaboração da sua concepção de futuro a partir de sua trajetória pelo ensino médio. São jovens provenientes das classes subalternas e das frações mais baixas das camadas médias, que buscam no ensino médio público as credenciais para ingresso em cursos superiores e técnicos e, principalmente, a escolaridade que lhes permita ter acesso a melhores empregos. Para isso, foram analisados documentos elaborados pelo MEC para reforma do ensino médio, para compreender as ideologias e os interesses neles implícitos e como isso afeta a formação do jovem. Pelas entrevistas, foram ouvidos diretores de escolas, professores e pais de alunos. Já para os jovens aqui pesquisados, além das entrevistas, formam aplicados questionários e reunidos em grupos focais, que possibilitaram apreender suas concepções de futuro elaboradas partir de suas trajetórias pelo ensino. A realidade encontrada revelou-se complexa, o currículo do ensino médio ministrado nas escolas públicas não potencializa as oportunidades da construção do conhecimento, tornando-se um obstáculo para a concretização dos seus projetos de futuro. Por conseguinte, os jovens vão privilegiar o trabalho em detrimento da escola, compartilhando inseguranças e preocupações, construindo expectativas pouco significativas em relação ao futuro. Pelo que foi observado, estudo, trabalho e família são projetos comuns aos jovens, que desejam adquirir independência financeira e autonomia pessoal e buscam no estudo apesar dos obstáculos, a possibilidade de ascensão social. / Abstract: The aim of this research was to investigate the preponderant aspects in the youth's representation in the elaboration of their concept of the future through their high school trajectory. These young students generally come from subaltern social classes and lower middle classes. They try to find in the public high school the credentials to enter in superior and technique courses and, mainly, to obtain the knowledge that permits them to find better jobs. For this, it was analyzed some documents elaborated by MEC, concerning the renovation of the high school system, to comprehend the ideology and interests of high school as well as to know its effects on the young students' development. Interviews were done with school principals, teachers and students' parents. For the analyzed students, besides the interview, it was applied some questionnaires. The students were separated in focal groups what enable the understanding of their conception of the future elaborated through their trajectory in high school. A complex reality was found due to the fact that the curriculum appied in the public high school does not consider the opportunities of curriculum applied in the public high school does not consider the opportunities of knowledge construction and become, therefore, an obstacle to the concretization of the students, future projects. Because of this, the young students prefer working over studying. They share insecurities and worries, and construct non-significant expectations of the future. According to what was observed studying, working and having a family are common projects for the yong students that search for financial independence and personal autonomy. For them, studying despite its obstacles, can be a means of social ascension. / Doutor

Dentre estas alterações, destaca-se o aumento da participação dos idosos no total da população. Este fenômeno, conhecido como envelhecimento populacional, decorre principalmente da queda das taxas de fecundidade e mortalidade e, do aumento da longevidade. Diferentemente dos países industrializados, o envelhecimento populacional brasileiro surpreende por sua rapidez e, pela multiplicidade de questões que suscita. As particularidades do segmento idoso (declínio das funções sociais, econômicas, psico-biológicas), combinadas aos problemas socioeconômicos brasileiros (má distribuição de renda, desemprego, previdência social e sistema de saúde deficitários), representam desafios a serem enfrentados pelo poder público, sociedade, família e pelo próprio indivíduo. Dentre estes desafios, aqueles relacionados à micro-escala adquirem importância. Em primeiro lugar, porque o envelhecimento populacional brasileiro é espacialmente diferenciado, alguns espaços encontram-se em estágio mais avançado. Em segundo, porque os idosos vivem, convivem e demandam, predominantemente, em escala local. Esta pesquisa contemplou empiricamente o estudo do processo em um espaço local. Como o município paulista de Assis, tem registrado um envelhecimento populacional mais acentuado que o verificado no Estado de São Paulo e no Brasil, converte-se em um interessante objeto de estudo da problemática. / Abstract: In the last decades, Brazil has been experiencing deep changes in its demographic pattern. Among these changes the increase of the proportion of elderly people in the population stands out. This phenomenon, known as aging population, occurs mainly due to the decline of fertility and mortality rates and the rise of life expectancy. Unlike the industrialized countries, the Brazilian aging population, surprises because of its speed and because of the multiple questions that involves it. The specific characteristics of elderly people (decline of social, economic and psycho-biological functions) combined with the Brazilian socio-economic problem (bad income distribution, unemployment, inefficient social and health care), represent challenges to be faced by the public sector, society, family and by the people themselves. Between these challenges, those related to the micro-scale, or local scale, acquire importance. First because the Brazilian aging population is spatially different, some spaces present higher levels of the process. Second, because elderly people live, relate and demand, largely, in micro-scale. Therefore, the empirical purpose of this study was to investigate the aging population of a local space. Assis city, where the process reaches higher levels than in the State of São Paulo and Brazil, becomes an interesting object of study of the problem involving the local govern, society and elderly people. / Mestre

O design de moda participa não apenas da criação de produtos, mas da construção da maneira de ser, modo de viver e de vestir. O designer é responsável por conceber, configurar, formar, projetar produtos que atendam as necessidades do público consumidor. Encontra-se entre os usuários dos produtos de moda os mais diversos biótipos, além de pessoas com necessidades especiais, como os portadores de deficiência física. Muitos projetos visam melhorar o ambiente do portador de deficiência física, tornando-o mais acessível. Estruturas especiais em moradias, rampas, sinalizador sonoro, maquinário de utilidade pública adaptados entre outras ações visando o conforto e a acessibilidade já são notadas no dia-a-dia. Todavia, artefatos mais comuns de uso cotidiano não oferecem acesso às pessoas portadoras de necessidades especiais. Um exemplo desta afirmação é o vestuário. Pode-se dizer que existem roupas com modelagem e até mesmo tecidos especiais para o público em questão, porém, essas peças não são facilmente encontradas no mercado da moda. Mesmo com a existência destes projetos de vestuário especiais é notável a falta de pesquisa em design de moda ergonômico, voltada ao usuário com desabilidade física. A investigação das carências projetuais para estes usuários e a consequente aplicação de critérios de usabilidade na modelagem das vestimentas são fundamentais na busca de satisfação das carências deste público especial. The fashion design involved not only the products creation, but the construction of the being way, of living and dressing. The designer is responsible for designing, configuring, building, designing products that meet the public needs. This is the most diverse biotopes, and people with special needs, such as those with physical disabilities. Many projects aimed at improving the environment of the physically disabled people, making it more accessible. Special structures for housing, ramps, buzzer, machinery, utilities adapted among other actions to ensure the comfort and accessibility are already noticeable in day-to-day. However, the most common artifacts of everyday use do not provide access to people with disabilities. An example is the clothing. One can say that there are modeling clothes and even special fabrics for the public concerned, however, these parts are not easily found in the fashion market. Even with the existence of these projects special clothing is a remarkable lack of research in fashion design aimed at the user with physical handicaps. Research for projecting the users needs and the consequent application of ergonomic criteria in modeling the clothes are fundamental to the satisfaction of those needs this special public. Através do estudo destas obras, observamos, a preocupação destes autores com a questão da organização política social e moral do país. Esta preocupação faz-se presente na forma de análise científica da história do país de modo a explicar a formação da sociedade brasileira e do povo. Deste modo privilegiaram categorias de compreensão da realidade brasileira constituindo um campo de debate intelectual, segundo a perspectiva teórica de Pierre Bourdieu. Através da reconstituição da história deste campo de debate sobre a formação do povo pretendemos situar o debate de Manoel Bomfim e Silvio Romero. / Abstract: This dissertation aims at studying the issue of Brazilian people formation on the works of Manoel Bomfim, América Latina Males de Origem (ill-treats Source in Latin America) and Sílvio Romero's História da Literatura Brasileira (Brazilian Literature History). Through these works studies, we notice the writer's worries about the issue of political, social and ethic organization of the country. This worry is emphasized in the scientific analysis of the country history in order to explain the Brazilian society and people's formation. Thereby, they privileged the Brazilian reality category understanding, constituting a field for intellectual debate, according to Pierre Bourdieu's theoretical outlook. O organismo modifica-se como um todo com o passar dos anos e a sexualidade também se transforma. O envelhecimento traz modificações importantes no que se refere aos aspectos físicos e emocionais, porém a sexualidade é experimentada até o fim da vida. Esta pesquisa qualitativa-descritiva teve por objetivo investigar a opinião sobre a sexualidade do idoso a partir do relato de dez pessoas com idade avançada, de ambos os sexos, que responderam a entrevistas semi-estruturadas que foram gravadas e transcritas na íntegra para análise de conteúdo temático. As categorias analisadas foram: 1) educação sexual; 2) vínculos familiares; 3) aspectos sociais: trabalho, lazer e amigos; 4) representação da velhice, imagem corporal e autoestima; 5) sexualidade, relacionamentos amorosos e sexuais e; 6) saúde e resposta sexual (desejo, excitação e orgasmo). Os resultados obtidos indicam que para os participantes a sexualidade foi percebida como sinônimo de ato sexual, demonstrando uma noção restritiva de sexualidade humana. Os idosos relatam que se envolveram em relacionamentos amorosos e sexuais após os 60 anos e tratam a sexualidade, vivenciada nessa etapa, como algo natural e necessário tendo sido algo importante na vida hoje e pregressa. Também notaram mudanças na resposta sexual e na frequencia das atividades sexuais; entretanto, apesar das limitações físicas, não deixaram de vivenciar sua sexualidade de maneira prazerosa; referem-se satisfeitos com o desejo e orgasmo próprio e do (a) parceiro (a). Conclui-se que a sexualidade é um aspecto importante no envelhecimento considerando suas dimensões fisiológicas... (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: Although cultural values reinforce the idea of elderly de-sexualization, sexuality is inherent in human beings, covering all developmental stages, including old age. The body changes as a whole over the year and sexuality also transforms. The aging brings significant changes with regard to physical and emotional aspects, but sexuality is experienced until the end of life. This descriptive, qualitative research aimed to investigate beliefs about the elderly sexuality in the report of ten people with advanced age, of both sexes, who answered semi-structured interviews that were recorded and wholy transcribed for theme content analysis. The analyzed categories were: 1) sex education, 2) family ties, 3) social aspects work, leisure and friends, 4) old age representation, body image and self esteem, 5) sexuality, love and sexual relationships, 6) health and sexual response (desire, arousal and orgasm). The results indicate for the participants, sexuality was perceived as a synonymous of sexual act, demonstrating a restrictive conception of human sexuality. Older people report that they engaged in sexual and romantic relationships after 60 years old and deal with sexuality, lived at his stage, as a natural and necessary act, being important in their lives today and in the past. They also noted changes in sexual response and frequency of sexual activities, however, despite the physical limitations, they hadn't left to live their sexuality in a pleasant way; they pleasantly refer to their own desire and orgasm and of their partner's. We conclude that sexuality is an important aspect in aging, considering its physiological, psychological, emotional and cultural dimensions. O objetivo inicial da pesquisa foi saber qual a influência da educação musical na memória, concentração, coordenação motora, socialização e disposição, colhendo opiniões dos idosos que participaram das aulas. Buscou-se ainda compreender suas percepções e representações simbólicas acerca da música e do fazer musical, conhecer seus gostos e preferências e entender suas relações com a música. A pesquisa foi de caráter qualitativo, adotando-se a metodologia de estudo de caso. Usou-se a observação direta não participante e a realização de entrevista semiestruturada, com quatro idosos de diferentes turmas do curso, para a coleta de dados. O referencial teórico utilizado para a análise dos dados e a fundamentação da pesquisa se baseou em Ecléa Bosi, para tratar das questões referentes à memoria e lembranças; Simone de Beauvoir, que contribuiu com suas análises sociais e históricas a respeito do envelhecimento e da velhice; e no Tratado de Geriatria e Gerontologia, compêndio de artigos abordando diversos temas relacionados ao envelhecer. Na área de Educação Musical, buscou-se apoio em John Paynter e Murray Schafer, educadores musicais da segunda geração, que trabalham com a proposta de um ensino de música baseado na criatividade, no fazer musical e na escuta. A análise dos dados destacou alguns aspectos interessantes a respeito da educação musical e dos idosos, como a busca das aulas de música para a satisfação de um desejo ou necessidade, como se fosse a realização de um sonho que não pôde ser vivido anteriormente; a importância do apoio familiar para iniciar e dar continuidade aos estudos; a constatação de que os idosos têm capacidade de aprender coisas novas; e a contribuição da música para a melhoria da qualidade / Abstract: This research was held in Campinas-SP, with ederley who attended music classes in the Extension Course in Liturgical Music of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Campinas - CEMULC. The initial goal of the research was to know the influence of musical education in memory, concentration, motor coordination, socialization and provision, reaping reviews of seniors who participated in lessons. Also, it tried to understand their symbolic representations and perceptions about music and making music, to know their tastes and preferences, and to understand their relationship with music. The research was qualitative, adopting the methodology of case study. It was used the direct non-participant observation and semistructured interviews, with four elderly of different classes of the course, to collect data. The theoretical reference used for data analysis and research basis was based on Ecléa Bosi, for issues relating to memory and recollections; on Simone de Beauvoir, who contributed with her social and historical analyses regarding aging and old age; and on Tratado de Geriatria e Gerontologia, compendium of articles addressing various issues related to aging. In the field of music education, we sought support in John Paynter and Murray Schafer, second-generation musical educators who worked with the proposal of music education based on creativity, making music and listening. Data analysis has highlighted some interesting aspects about musical education and elderly, as the pursuit of music lessons for satisfying a desire or need, as if it was a dream that could not be lived previously; the importance of family support for starting and continuing studies; the fact that the elderly have the capacity to learn new things; and the music's contribution to improve quality of life when promoting integration and socialization, filling out free time and the use of intellectual and emotional capabilities / Mestre

Dados estatísticos comprovam o envelhecimento populacional do Brasil, com aumento da expectativa de vida; porém existem e devem ser consideradas as implicações biológicas, psicológicas, econômicas e sociais do envelhecimento. Nosso objetivo neste trabalho foi analisar a influência da escola e das práticas pedagógicas na construção dos conceitos de 'envelhecimento humano' e 'sujeito idoso', além de investigar se elas oferecem uma educação favorável à inserção social. Foram avaliadas as concepções e representações sociais acerca do envelhecimento humano, através de questionários aplicados aos professores, alunos, seus pais e funcionários de várias escolas públicas e particulares da cidade de Marília (SP). Foi analisado o material didático utilizado nessas escolas, e constatado que nele, em geral, não é contemplado o tema envelhecimento humano. Também foram objeto de análise os documentos oficiais que norteiam a educação formal, como os Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais. Os resultados mostraram também que alguns professores abordam o tema ao explanar doenças, ciclo vital, hábitos alimentares e ainda através da interdisciplinaridade com o ensino religioso, utilizando-se de estratégias didáticas como trabalhos em grupo, pesquisas, leitura de textos e observação de idosos. De forma geral, os professores julgam importante o enfoque do tema em aulas, pois isso pode promover mudanças de comportamento em relação aos idosos. Os professores, os pais e os alunos definem idosos como pessoas com experiência de vida e sabedoria, enquanto os funcionários os definem como pessoas carentes que precisam de atenção, respeito e carinho... (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo). / Abstract: In contemporany societies, the educational and health areas are constantly concerned about the human aging because the social insertion of ederly people is really difficult. Statistical data confirm the population aging in Brazil with an increase in life expectancy; nevertheless, there are biological, psychological, economical and social implications of aging that must be considered. This paper was aimed at analyzing the influence of school and pedagogical practices on the construction of "human aging" and "elderly subject" concepts and also at investigating if these practices offer a favorable education for social insertion. Social concepts and representations related to human aing were evaluated by means of questionnaires answered by teachers, students, parents and employees in several public and private schools in Marília city (SP). The educational material used in these schools was analyzed and it was verified that, in general, it does not include the human aging topic. Official documents that direct the formal education, such as National Curricular Parameters, were also analysed. The results also showed that some teachers broach the topic by giving information about diseases, vital cycle, eating habits and thorugh interdiscipline with religious teaching, using educational strategies such as group assignments, research, reading of texts and observation of elderly people. Teachers, in general, consider it important to focus the topic during the classes because this can cause behavuir changes concerned to elderly people. Teachers, parents and studentes define elderly people as who have life experience and wisdom, while employees define them as people who need attention, respect and affction. É característico da região geográfica conhecida como Médio Tietê, que compreende municípios como Piracicaba, Sorocaba, Laranjal Paulista, Tietê e outros. É um desafio poético acompanhado pela viola, que hoje tem forte expressão no município de Piracicaba, o qual teve na formação de seu povo o cruzamento de brancos, com predominância dos bandeirantes, e índios. Desse cruzamento surgiu o caipira, que hoje, representado pelo homem do campo, mantém viva esta tradição. O objetivo deste estudo é mostrar como uma manifestação folclórica popular tão antiga sobrevive, ainda hoje, num município como Piracicaba, considerado relativamente grande e moderno, e plenamente inserido no processo de Globalização. / Abstract: Cururu is a traditional rustic expression from Portuguese and American origins. It is characteristic from a geographic region known as Medium Tiete, which embraces municipal districts such as Piracicaba, Sorocaba, Laranjal Paulista, Tiete, among others. It is a poetic challenge on viol, which nowadays, has a strong appeal into Piracicaba's municipal district, that had in it's people formation the crossbreeding between the white, predominating men from early expeditions, and Indians. From this crossing grew up the rustic people represented nowadays by the country man. The purpose of this study is to show how a, so ancient popular folkloric manifestation, survives, even today, in a city as Piracicaba, considered a relatively big and modern town totally inserted into the globalization process. / Mestre

Os objetivos deste estudo foram investigar o significado do processo de envelhecimento e suas repercussões no corpo e, em particular, na boca dos idosos; e como os efeitos da assistência odontológica durante a vida repercutem na saúde bucal do idoso. A boca foi compreendida na expressão da bucalidade, conceito desenvolvido por Botazzo (2000) relativo à propriedade do bucal nas dimensões psíquica e cultural. Trata-se, pois, de compreender a boca nestas dimensões enquanto território corporal. a pesquisa pe de abordagem qualitativa de fundamentação fenomenológica, sendo os sujeitos entrevistados escolhidos intencionalmente. Foram selecionados cinco idosos residentes em Araçatuba/SP/Brasil. Utilizou-se entrevista semi-estruturada e diário de campo para coletar os dados. Para procedermos à análise dos dados, escolhemos a técnica de análise de conteúdo categorial. Os resultados mostraram que a dificuldade na mastigação e a perda da capacidade de saborear os alimentos foram citadas como problemas enfrentados pelos idosos. A ausência de dentes está intimamente ligada à insatisfação estética e é determinante para desencadear estímulos negativos na auto-estima dos indivíduos com repercussão nas relações sociais. A falta de entendimento das doenças que ocorrem na boca, como a cárie dentária e doença periodontal contribuem para a manutenção da crença que perda dentária esta relacionada ao envelhecimento. / Abstract: The ageing of the Brazilian population as a whole is an incontestable fact, and although it has drawn the attention of researchers and professionals of health and social areas, very little has been done in response to this evidence. The aims of this study were to investigate the meaning of the ageing process and its repercussions in the body and, especially, in the mouth of the elderly; as well as how the effects of dental care during their lives affect the elderly's dental health. Mouth was understood in the expression of bucality, which is a concept that was developed by Botazzo (2000) and is related to oral features in the psychic and cultural dimensions. Therefore, this is about understanding the mouth through these dimensions while being corporal territory. This research has a qualitative approach of phenomenological basis, where the sample was intentionally decided. Five elderly people living in Araçatuba/SP/Brazil were selected. Recorded semi-structured interviews and report diary were used. To analyse the data collected, the technique of content analyses was chosen. The results showed that difficulty in chewing and loss of the ability of tasting food were mentioned as problems faced by the elderly. Teeth absence is closely related to aesthetics dissatisfaction and is a determinant fact to cause negative stimuli in the individuals' self-esteem with consequences in social relations. The lack of understanding about the diseases that happen in the mouth, as dental caries and periodontal disease, contribute for the maintenance of the false belief that tooth loss is related to ageing. / Doutor
