In this dissertation Bibliotherapy is understood as a care to human being through stories read, narrated or dramatized. The practice of bibliotherapy is divided into two types: Development and Clinical. In this work, the focus will be given in the first type, because it is an activity that can be exercised by the librarian. The main objective of the research was to analyze the characteristics of the practice of Developmental Bibliotherapy in Brazil and Poland based on the Brazilian and Polish scientific literature published between 2000 and 2015. The specific objectives were: a) to identify the participation of librarians in the bibliotherapy practice in Brazil And in Poland; B) to point out the main places of application of Bibliotherapy in Brazil and Poland; C) to verify the development strategies and the public to which the activities of Bibliotherapy in Brazil and in Poland are destined. To reach these objectives, were selected articles focused on the bibliotherapy practice of these two countries indexed in the BRAPCI and LISA databases. The conceptual and theoretical foundation was built from the dialogue between authors from different areas and brings elements of the hermeneutic philosophy of Gadamer. As a methodological procedure, the Bardin content analysis proposal was applied. Thus, the specific objectives were divided into three categories of analysis: Who? At where? How and for whom? These categories served as a beacon to analyze the characteristics of Biblioterapy practiced in Brazil and Poland. Finally, the analysis of the articles revealed some distances and approximations of the practice in these two countries. It is worth mentioning that the way of doing it pointed in the Brazilian and Polish articles is similar, highlighting the use of literature and the elements of dialogue and interaction. Regarding who does and where it does, some differences have been identified such as the presence of Biblio-therapy in the librarian's work and in the Polish libraries, while in Brazil the presence of the activity in hospitals and asylums is often applied by students and librarians. It concludes by emphasizing some examples of Biblioterapia in Poland that can help develop the practice in Brazil and reinforcing the need for more comprehensive research on the subject in Brazil.

evolución de tres economías de Europa Oriental que durante adoptaron un régimen socialista;

Repatriační politiky Polska na příkladu Karty Poláka / Repatriation Policy of Poland on the Example of Pole's CardMařík, Jan January 2019 (has links)
The present thesis applies the method of historical institutionalism to analyze the repatriation policies of Poland and the way they have worked in practice. It describes the development of repatriation from the territory of the former Soviet Union, starting from the First World War to present. It examines the institutional changes that contributed to the current Repatriation Act and puts these changes into a deeper context. The following section introduces the "Karta Polaka" (lit. The Pole's Card), which according to the lawmakers, aims at materializing its holder's moral commitment to Polonia. To ensure the proper working of the "Karta Polaka"in practice, it was also necessary to amend the Citizenship Act - the relevant components of which will be also discussed in the thesis. By describing the development of the institution of the "Karta Polaka", my goal is to prove that the primary aim of helping the Polish diaspora in the East is no longer entirely true. In addition, thanks to the simple conditions for obtaining the "Karta Polaka", as well as a series of amendments to the law, it rather serves the purpose of repatriation, as the holders of the card can apply for Polish citizenship after a year. Although both laws are aimed at a different group of people, the "Karta Polaka" is gradually taking over the...

Hurrah Revolutionaries and Polish Patriots: The Polish Communist Movement in Canada, 1918-1950Polec, Patryk 26 July 2012 (has links)
This thesis constitutes the first full-length study of Polish Communists in Canada, a group that provided a substantial segment of the countries socialist left in the early 20th century. It traces the roots of socialist support in Poland, its transplantation to Canada, the challenges it faced within an ethnic community heavily influenced by Catholicism, the complications caused by its links to the Comintern, and its changing strength and decline. It offers a deeper understanding of the ways in which the Communist party was able to appeal to certain ethnic groups, such as through cultural outreach, as well as its complicated and often arguably counter-productive relationship with the Comintern. It also furnishes important information on the efforts of the RCMP and Polish consulates to maintain control over the communists, as well as how generally improved material conditions among Poles, especially following the Second World War, along with the influence of the Cold War, accounted for a rapid decline in support. The thesis is primarily based on sources generated by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs or, more precisely, by the Polish consulates in Winnipeg, Montreal and Ottawa. One the Canadian side, the thesis took advantage of RCMP records, Canadian security bulletins, immigration records and Polish-language newspapers printed in Canada. By utilizing these sources, this study not only analyses the interaction of the Polish Canadian communist movement with other segments of the Polish community in Canada, but it also moves beyond the introverted approach that has characterized most studies of ethnic organizations in Canada by placing the movement within a “Canadian” context to analyze its relations with the government, broader segments of Canadian society, and the Communist Party of Canada (CPC).

Polská národnostní skupina v Německu / Polish Ethnic Community in GermanyCimflová, Marcela January 2018 (has links)
This thesis deals with a Polish national group in Germany, Polonia, comprising about 2 million Poles and Germans with Polish origin. Polonia has a very well-developed organizational structure in Germany that takes care of Polish culture, language and traditions, as well as stands up for its rights listed in the Polish-German Treaty from the Polish-German Treaty of Good Neighborhood and Friendly Cooperation of 1991. Periodical roundtables and conferences that are crucial for the Polish-German dialogue show problems that the Polish group faces. There are asymmetries in the fulfilment of the Polish-German treaty of 1991, which guarantee the same rights for the Polish group in Germany as for the German minority in Poland: whereas the latter is officially recognized as a national minority in Poland, the former has not been awarded the minority status. Furthermore, there is a lack of funding in the case of Polonia, which prevents the effective functioning of Polish organizations, and the unsatisfactory level of teaching Polish at public schools. Author of the thesis comes to the conclusion that although the Polish national group is not a de jure recognized national minority, it de facto has the rights that are commonly attributed to a national minority. Moreover, the analysis showed that the Poles are...
