This work is an attempt to analyze the oral discourse of these women, to understand the historical participation in this ritual, pointing out the actions for dehistoricization that, in the Western world, take women out of the community scene making their roles less important or invisible as agents of social construction. The reflections that take place in this research, using as a starting point, the example of a traditional fishing community on the Brazilian coast, and denounce the mechanisms of male domination that try to silence their h?bitus, such as: the discourse of power (that is responsible for the permanent division of sexual structures) and of the correspondent social and cultural division. The present research respects the oral discourse of the Elderly Women as a significant practice of community life in Diogo Lopes in Macau, Rio Grande do Norte. The creation of the community of RDSE in Ponta do Tubar?o as an instrument for political and social management is also accepted here as a process conducted by various social actors that react to developmental threats that have interfered with and are still trying to interfere with the equilibrium of the regional ecosystem. The methodology used in the research is supported in the oral discourse of these women as social representations of a focus group, on which the method of the An?lise do Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo (DSC) ( Collective Subject Discourse Analysis ) is applied / A participa??o de mulheres com mais de sessenta anos no rito social de cria??o da Reserva de Desenvolvimento Sustent?vel Estadual Ponta do Tubar?o, no Rio Grande do Norte, ? o objeto central desta pesquisa. Este trabalho busca analisar o discurso oral destas senhoras, na tentativa de historicizar tal participa??o neste rito, apontando as a??es de des-historiciza??o que, no Ocidente, retiram as mulheres da cena comunit?ria desvalorizando ou tornando invis?veis os seus papeis de agentes da constru??o social. As reflex?es decorrentes desta pesquisa, realizadas a partir do exemplo de uma comunidade pesqueira tradicional do litoral brasileiro, denunciam os mecanismos de domina??o masculina que se instauram no sil?ncio do h?bitus, tais como: os discursos de poder (que s?o respons?veis pela eterniza??o das estruturas da divis?o sexual) e os princ?pios de divis?o social e cultural correspondentes. A presente pesquisa acata o discurso oral de Velhas Mulheres como uma pr?tica de vida comunit?ria significativa, na comunidade de Diogo Lopes Macau/RN. A cria??o comunit?ria da RDSE Ponta do Tubar?o como instrumento de gest?o pol?tico-social ? tamb?m aceita aqui como processo conduzido por atores sociais v?rios. No. of bitstreams: 1 ItamarMN.pdf: 6813634 bytes, checksum: 448924894a71f4a4ab24a0709fb71e33 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2005-11-29 / Coordena??o de Aperfei?oamento de Pessoal de N?vel Superior / It is analyzed the social struggle held by locals at Barreiras, Diogo Lopes and Sert?ozinho communities (Macau-RN) in order to avoid the ownership of its mangrove area to hotel managers, in 1995 and to hinder the destruction of Ilha dos Cavalos mangrove by the shrimp producers, in 2000, what led to the creation of Ponta do Tubar?o Reserve of State Sustainable Development, located at Macau and Guamar? cities, northern coast of Rio Grande do Norte, respectively 180 and 200 kilometers away from Natal, created in July, 18, 2003 by the Decree State Law n. 8.349, to preserve its traditional territory and way of life. It is photographed and analyzed the developed ways of life in this Unit of Conservation, from the sociocultural category, based in pointers of the material production in the life ways as: the work, the leisure, the religion, the popular knowledge and the action of the contemporary men on the environment. In this perspective, it is considered as method strategy a sociocultural photo cartography, created to this research, and to be concretized used photographic documents, observation, interviews, documental research and bibliographic research, being an association of techniques as peculiarities of this strategy of research. It is concluded that the social struggle developed by the collective actors at Ponta do Tubar?o Reserve of State Sustainable Development, is characterized as a transforming action against the global and predatory capital, for the maintenance of the environment and the traditional way of life; One also concludes that the sociocultural photo cartography is very important as a proposal of possible procedures to being used in qualitative researches, because of its analytical potentialities providing a more including vision of the sociocultural routine of the studied space, in the attempt to know and to disclose the relations lived for the citizens of the research in Social Sciences / Analisa-se a luta social desenvolvida pelos moradores das comunidades de Barreiras, Diogo Lopes e Sert?ozinho (Macau/RN) para impedir a posse da Restinga Ponta do Tubar?o por empres?rios hoteleiros, em 1995 e a devasta??o do manguezal da Ilha dos Cavalos por carcinicultores, em 2000, culminando na cria??o da Reserva de Desenvolvimento Sustent?vel Estadual Ponta do Tubar?o, situada nos munic?pios de Macau e Guamar?, litoral norte do Rio Grande do Norte, respectivamente a cerca de 180 e 200 quil?metros da capital - Natal, criada em 18 de julho de 2003, pelo Decreto Lei estadual N.? 8.349, para a preserva??o do seu territ?rio e dos modos de vida tradicionais. Fotocartografam-se e analisam-se os modos de vida desenvolvidos nesta Unidade de Conserva??o, a partir da categoria sociocultural, baseando-se em indicadores da produ??o material dos modos de vida como: o trabalho, o lazer, a religiosidade, os saberes tradicionais e a a??o do homem presente no local sobre o meio ambiente. Nesta perspectiva, prop?e-se como estrat?gia metodol?gica uma Fotocartografia Sociocultural, criada para esta pesquisa, que para ser efetivada utilizou-se do registro fotogr?fico, da observa??o, da entrevista, da pesquisa documental e da pesquisa bibliogr?fica, enquanto associa??o de t?cnicas como peculiaridades desta estrat?gia de pesquisa. Conclui-se que a luta social desenvolvida pelos atores coletivos da RDS Ponta do Tubar?o, caracteriza-se como uma a??o transformadora contra-hegem?nica ao capital globalizado e predat?rio, em favor da manuten??o do meio ambiente e dos modos de vida tradicionais; conclui-se tamb?m que a Fotocartografia Sociocultural possui relev?ncia como proposta de procedimentos poss?veis de serem utilizados em pesquisas qualitativas, por possuir virtualidades anal?ticas, proporcionando uma vis?o mais abrangente do cotidiano sociocultural do espa?o estudado, na tentativa de conhecer e revelar as rela??es vividas pelos sujeitos da pesquisa em Ci?ncias Sociais
