(Kant, 2004, 165/8:381). Considerando que o princ?pio da publicidade est? contemplado na Constitui??o Brasileira de 1988, e na sua legisla??o infraconstitucional, em especial na lei de acesso ? informa??o, a presente an?lise procura estabelecer rela??es com as bases que fundamentam a reflex?o ?tica, tendo como princ?pio o imperativo categ?rico kantiano. ? uma pesquisa documental, que faz a sua an?lise a partir de uma reflex?o ?tica de Kant, focando-se nos documentos no tocante ? legisla??o reguladora constitu?dos pelo Estatuto, Regimento Geral e demais normas em vigor no ?mbito da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte. O objetivo, portanto, ?, ? luz do referencial te?rico, verificar suas implica??es, bem como, propor sugest?es que possam melhorar a legisla??o interna da institui??o, de modo que a publicidade se constitua, efetivamente, como um elemento de a??o na gest?o administrativa, permitindo, com isso, que toda a comunidade universit?ria participe, de forma democr?tica, nas suas proposi??es e nas suas decis?es. A partir da an?lise empreendida, constata-se que a institui??o tem apresentado evolu??o significativa nas avalia??es auferidas pelo Minist?rio da Educa??o, mas que ainda ? preciso ampliar a publicidade na institui??o, pois isso beneficiar? a comunidade universit?ria e, em ?ltima inst?ncia, toda a sociedade. / The object of this study is publicity under the premise ?All actions relating to the right of other men are unjust if their maxim is not consistent with publicity? (Kant, 2004, 165/8:381). Considering that the principles of publicity are covered in the Brazilian Constitution of 1988 and infra-constitutional legislation ? specifically in the law of access to information ? the present analysis aims to establish relations between the fundaments that ground ethical reflection and the categorical imperative principles of Kant. This study is characterized as desk research, analyzing, from a Kantian ethical perspective, documents related to the regulatory legislation constituted by the Statute, General Regiment and other prevailing norms, at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. The objective, therefore, is, in light of the theoretical reference, to verify implications, as well as, propose suggestions that can improve the internal legislation of the institution, such that the publicity permit the entire university community to participate in propositions and decisions, democratically. Findings from the analysis carried out show that the institution has significantly evolved in evaluations given by the Ministry of Education, but that it is still necessary to broaden the publicity of the institution, to the benefit of the university community and, ultimately, all of society.
