Nosso interesse foi de investigar como processos que ocorrem no âmbito da política pública oferecem um campo para a problematização dos espaços públicos a partir do projeto pedagógico e do processo educacional. Realizamos uma cartografia a partir dos afetos recolhidos na experiência, descrevendo os aspectos que nos permitem compreender a dimensão política do ambiente para o viver no meio urbano com a abrangência da ecologia considerada em sua abordagem física, mas com atenção sobre os seus desdobramentos para o ambiente dos vínculos e para o ambiente do pensamento. Deste modo, confrontamos as três perspectivas da ecologia com os processos de constituição do sujeito ao articular os estudos de educação popular e ambiental com os estudos sobre os processos de subjetivação. / The work is resulted of experience lived in the municipal district of Suzano, São Paulo (2010-2012), in that is was build a process of construction of the Politics Municipal System of Environmental Education, one of the axes of this politics was the Program of Popular Environmental Education, I focus of our studies in the research. Our interest was of investigating as processes that happen in the extent of the public politics offer a field for the problematization of the public spaces starting from the pedagogic project and of the education process. We accomplished a cartography starting from the affections collected in the experience, describing the aspects that allow o understand us the political dimension of the atmosphere for living in the urban way with the inclusion of the ecology considered in her physical approach, but whit attention on their unfolding for the atmosphere of the bonds and the atmosphere of thought. This way, we confronted the three perspectives of the ecology with the constitution processes of the subject when articulating the studies of environmental education with studies on subjectivation processes.

Edukace pacientů před aplikací anestezie. / Education of patients before anesthesia.

The present diploma thesis is engaged in the education of patients prior to the application of anaesthesia. The theoretical part studies the area of education. For a comprehensive overview of the problems at issue, the theoretical part delves in the area of anaesthesia. The thesis examines the contribution of education provided to patients prior to the application of anaesthesia. The target group of respondents is composed by patients who underwent a procedure requiring an anaesthesiology care. Patients suitable for data collection were selected using the purposeful sampling method on the basis of collaboration with head nurses of the given hospital wards. The research was conducted by a quantitative method, using the author's own questionnaire. The total of 69 questionnaires was distributed. The results of the research investigation conducted that patients are provided advice as to anaesthesiology care in more than one half of all cases. The greatest share in providing advice and education to patients in anaesthesiology care is taken up by physicians - anaesthesiologists. Most often, advice is provided in form of an informed consent, including oral advice. Dentro desse contexto, o resgate de jogos de tabuleiros como instrumentos de auxílio do processo ensinoaprendizagem de Matemática se torna muito útil e segue na contramão dos jogos de computadores, pois há uma maior interação entre os alunos, contribuindo também para aumentar a capacidade dos mesmos de tomarem decisões e criarem estratégias. O presente estudo tem como objetivo analisar os resultados da utilização desses jogos nas aulas de Matemática e também como os mesmos podem contribuir na educação de alunos que possuem Necessidade Educacional Especial. Para tanto foram trabalhados dois jogos cujas origens são de países distintos: o Mancala (origem africana) e o Quoridor (também conhecido como bloqueio, de origem italiana). / The use of some technologies as teaching tools do not cause a lot of enthusiasm by now, since educational softwares hardly meet the standards of the games students are familiarized. In this context, the renewal of interest for board games as tools for helping the process of Mathematics teaching and learning becomes useful and is in the opposite direction of computer games, since there are a better interaction between students, and it contributes to increase their capacity of decision and strategy-making. This study aims to analyze the results of the utilization of these board games in Mathematics classes and how they can contribute for the education of students with special needs. Thus, two board games, of two different origins, were analyzed: the Mancala (from Africa) and the Quoridor (also known as “bloqueio”, of Italian origin).

Suggested process framework for business analysts' development involves five areas of company's life: company culture, education, knowledge management, practical application of gained experience and last but not least - the recruitment process. Processes of these areas affect each other and together create integrated system, which allows for effective education of business analysts. Process framework enables complex approach to employees development and effectively links human resources development strategy and company's global strategy.

Proces výuky pacientů jako součást ošetřovatelského procesu / The process of education of patients as a part of a nursing process

Education is an integral part of the nursing process. It is a proposeful activity, systematic training, which leads to gain knowledge and skills by means of a special process of learning. The aim of this work was to find out, whether nurses provide patients with education within the nursing process and whether patients feel that this education is sufficient enough to keep an optimal level of their health. All hypotheses I have set were confirmed. Apparently, from the results of the survey, health-educational activity, which is in plenary powers of nurses, is done by nurses themselves for the most part, but in some cases also the doctor took part in this activity. Although most of the asked expressed satisfaction with the information provided, there were still clients who were not satisfied with the number of information both theoretical and practical. In most cases, clients said that the instructions, which had been given to them by the nurse within the educational activity, were very significant for improving their health. Cooperation between a nurse and a client is based on a good communication between both parts. The result of this understanding is a situation when a client obeys the instructions given. From results it is obvious that all clients tried hard to keep professional recommendation provided by the nurse and reach the goal this way.Nowadays, the nurse, who is thanks to her learning within the area of education highly professional, puts an emphasis on mutual cooperation not only with the client but also with his family. The nurse respects client´s individual needs and tries to make him participace actively in his health care.

Raising the curtain on relations of power in a Maltese school network

This study concerns school reform in Malta. Under the policy framework ‘For All Children to Succeed’ (Ministry of Education, Youth & Employment, 2005) [henceforth referred to as FACT], Maltese state schools embarked on the process of being organized into networks called ‘colleges’. These consisted of primary and secondary schools according to geographical location, under the leadership of the Principal – a newly-designated role hierarchically above that of the individual Heads of School. The purpose of my research is to explore relations of power in a Maltese college. My study gives prominence to both theory and methodology. The theoretical research question investigates how networking unfolds among the various leadership hierarchies in school governance in a Maltese college. This is explored through the performance of policy-mandated collegiality; the circulating relations of power; and leadership distribution. My study is framed within a postmodern paradigm and adopts a Foucauldian theoretical framework, more specifically his concepts of power, discipline, governmentality, discourse, and subjectification. Data for my case study are collected through semi-structured, in-depth interviews; observation of a Council of Heads meeting; and a documentary analysis of FACT. Narrative is not only the phenomenon under exploration, but also the method of analysis, and mode of representation. Thus, I attempt to answer my methodological research question that investigates the ways a researcher negotiates the methodological tensions and contradictions in the conduct of qualitative inquiry in order to construct knowledge differently. The Maltese college is viewed as a surveillance mechanism by both the Principal and the Heads, with collegiality being regarded as a straitjacket imposed by the State through a policy mandate. However, there is unanimous agreement on conscription being the only way forward for Maltese state schools. Different degrees of ‘support’ and empowerment exist, according to the directives of the Principal and the State. College setup is problematized on geographical clustering and college streaming, due to which it may end up defying the primary aim of networking by clustering students from particular areas in isolation, resulting in social injustice and educational inequality. This study exposes a strong sense of sectoral isolation among the Heads – a situation being mirrored at macro-level with very few opportunities for inter-networking among colleges. There is an asymmetrical power flow among the college schools, both within the same level and across different levels. Despite the policy FACT mandating distributed leadership, hierarchical forms of accountability are still inherent within the system, bringing out a tension between autonomy and centralization.
