Esta pesquisa investigou os processos de referenciação do ponto de vista argumentativo, e observou, especificamente, as ocorrências de expressões nominais definidas e indefinidas em discursos produzidos por grupos políticos em situação de debate na televisão. O corpus selecionado compreendeu um debate político organizado pelo programa Roda Viva, transmitido pela TV Cultura de São Paulo, em 15 de julho de 2005, cujos debatedores, deputados e senadores, integrantes da CPI dos Correios, estavam divididos em dois grupos partidários: a oposição, formada por representantes dos partidos PFL, PPS e PSDB, e os governistas, do partido do PT. Estabelecemos em quais condições específicas de produção esse discurso foi elaborado e observamos as características específicas tanto do suporte, quanto do gênero no corpus selecionado. Analisamos a interação entre os debatedores, para observar a seleção lingüística a que cada um deles procedeu para construir determinados referentes, e examinamos o encaminhamento argumentativo que se constituiu na rede referencial. Enfim, investigamos como as orientações argumentativas se construíram de maneira interativa entre os grupos, já que estes, apesar de cumprirem o mesmo papel social na situação interacional, encontravam-se em posições partidárias distintas. Adotamos por referencial teórico: estudos sobre a referenciação, em Mondada e Dubois (2003), Apothéloz (2003), Marcuschi e Koch (1998); reflexões em torno da argumentação, em Perelman e Olbrechts-Tyteca (1958, 2002), Charaudeau (2006) e Aquino (1997); investigações sobre a modalidade falada da língua quanto às questões de interação, em Aquino, Fávero e Andrade (1998) e Marcuschi (2001). / This research investigated the referencial processes from the argumentative point of view, and observed, specifically, the occurrences of nominal expressions in political debates in the media. The corpus consisted of a political debate organized by Roda Viva, a program transmitted by TV Cultura of São Paulo, on July 15 2005, whose participants (politicians) were divided into two groups: the opposition, formed by PFL, PPS and PSDB members, and governmetalists, who belonged to the PT. The particular conditions of production of the participants´ discourses were described and the specific characteristics of both the support and the genre were observed. The analysis of the interaction between the participants was carried out in order to observe the linguistic selection that each one of them used to construct the textual referents, and to examine the argumentative orientation that was established in the referencial net. At last, we investigated how the argumentative orientations were constructed interactively by the groups, since they, in spite of having the same social role, took opposite stands. Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento CientÃfico e TecnolÃgico / Esta dissertaÃÃo possui como objetivo principal analisar, à luz da abordagem teÃrica da referenciaÃÃo (MONDADA, 1994; MONDADA; DUBOIS, [1995] 2003), as funÃÃes discursivas dos processos referenciais de encapsulamento em artigos de opiniÃo. Para tanto, propÃs-se uma (re)discussÃo dos critÃrios formais e funcionais que norteiam a definiÃÃo e a anÃlise do fenÃmeno do encapsulamento com base nas pesquisas de autores como Francis ([1994] 2003), Conte ([1996] 2003), ApothÃloz e Chanet ([1997] 2003) e Consten, Knees e Schwarz-Friesel (2007), cujos trabalhos preconizam um tratamento essencialmente formal aos encapsulamentos, alinhando-os aos postulados teÃricos presentes em trabalhos mais recentes que tratam da temÃtica em pauta, como os estudos de Ciulla e Silva (2008), Silva (2013) e Alves (2015). Esse percurso teÃrico permitiu reorganizar os processos referenciais atrelados à menÃÃo com a adiÃÃo da introduÃÃo referencial encapsuladora, bem como verificar o funcionamento dos encapsulamentos nos textos que integram o corpus desta dissertaÃÃo para, dessa forma, poder relacionÃ-los Ãs marcas de posicionamento do locutor em seu texto (HYLAND, 2005). O corpus adotado neste estudo foi composto por 40 artigos de opiniÃo sobre a programaÃÃo da televisÃo brasileira, coletados entre os anos de 2015 e 2016, cuja anÃlise permitiu concluir que as anÃforas encapsuladoras e as introduÃÃes referenciais encapsuladoras respondem, no gÃnero em questÃo, a duas macrofunÃÃes: (i) macrofunÃÃo metadiscursiva, que se desdobrou em: a) funÃÃo avaliativa; b) funÃÃo de introduzir e encapsular referentes; c) funÃÃo de hipostasiar unidades pragmÃtico-discursivas; (ii) macrofunÃÃo organizadora, que se fragmentou em: a) funÃÃo de glosa; b) funÃÃo enumerativa; c) funÃÃo de promover a organizaÃÃo tÃpica. Tais funÃÃes nÃo sÃo mutuamente excludentes e sÃo necessÃrias tanto para a organizaÃÃo, quanto para a edificaÃÃo da argumentatividade textual. AlÃm disso, tambÃm foi possÃvel verificar que os processos referenciais de encapsulamento e o gÃnero artigo de opiniÃo se interinfluenciam, o que se deve à predileÃÃo dos encapsulamentos por textos em que hà uma predominÃncia da sequÃncia argumentativa. Este trabalho deixa uma importante reflexÃo teÃrica sobre os estudos de encapsulamento realizados ao longo dos anos, cotejando aspectos descritivos e observando possÃveis relaÃÃes que podem manter com traÃos textual-discursivos. / The main objective of this work is to analyze the discursive functions of the referential encapsulation processes in opinion pieces according to the theoretical approach of referentiation (MONDADA, 1994; MONDADA; DUBOIS, [1995] 2003). For that we proposed a (re)discussion of the formal and functional criteria that guide the definition and the analysis of the encapsulation phenomenon based on the researches by authors such as Francis ([1994] 2003), Conte ([1996] 2003), ApothÃloz and Chanet ([1997] 2003) and Consten; Knees and Schwarz-Friesel (2007), who tend to give a formal treatment to the anaphoric encapsulation processes. Thus, we aligned these works with the theoretical postulates that are present in more recent studies that deal with this theme, such as the works by Ciulla and Silva (2008), Silva (2013), Alves (2015) among others. This theoretical construct was essential because it enabled us not only to verify the functioning of the anaphoric encapsulation in the texts that integrate the corpus of this dissertation, but also to study the relation between these processes of reference and the textual genre opinion piece, as well as to relate the different types of encapsulation to the attitude markers of the speaker in their text (HYLAND, 2005). Based on these objectives, we adopted a corpus consisting in 40 opinion pieces about the tv shows aired in the Brazilian television that were collected between the years of 2015 and 2016. Based on the qualitative analysis of the corpus, it was found that the discursive functions of the anaphoric encapsulation processes and of the referential encapsulation introductions are linked to two macrofunctions: (i) metadiscursive macrofunction, which integrates the following fuctions: a) the evaluative function; b) the introduction and encapsulation of referents; c) the function of hypostasizing pragmatic-discursive units; (ii) organizing macrofunction, which envolves: a) glossing function; b) enumerative function; c) the function of promoting topical organization. Moreover, it was also possible to verify that the encapsulation referential processes and the opinion piece genre are interinfluenced, which is probably due to the preference of the encapsulations for texts where there is a predominance of the argumentative sequence. Finally, this work also contributes with na important theoretical reflection on the importante of the encapsulations based on works published throughout the years by focusin on discoursive aspects and possible relations with text-discursive traits.

Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento CientÃfico e TecnolÃgico / Esta dissertaÃÃo objetiva analisar como os processos referenciais por nome prÃprio compÃem estratÃgias argumentativas para a conduÃÃo persuasiva de textos. Conforme Cavalcante (2017), a escolha de determinados processos referenciais orienta a argumentaÃÃo do texto. Por essa razÃo, propusemos analisar, sob uma perspectiva sociocognitiva e discursiva da referenciaÃÃo, os processos de introduÃÃo e retomada anafÃrica dos referentes que sÃo, respectivamente, apresentados e recategorizados com a colaboraÃÃo do uso de nomes prÃprios. Defendemos que, sob a Ãtica da LinguÃstica Textual, o nome prÃprio pode ser analisado como um objeto de discurso negociado entre os interlocutores na dinÃmica da enunciaÃÃo (MONDADA; DUBOIS, 2003; CAVALCANTE, 2011). A metodologia à de base qualitativa e mÃtodo hipotÃtico-dedutivo; as ocorrÃncias que compÃem os dados analisados compreenderam 20 textos de gÃneros discursivos diversos, como artigo de opiniÃo, crÃnica jornalÃstica, post do Facebook e post do Twitter, charges, sobre a temÃtica do cenÃrio polÃtico brasileiro do ano de 2016, sendo apresentados na dissertaÃÃo 10 exemplos. Na pesquisa, foram testadas as seguintes hipÃteses: a) a introduÃÃo referencial com nome prÃprio â com a presenÃa de amÃlgama - expressa um ponto de vista que pode ser confirmado ao longo do texto (SILVA, 2013) e, nas retomadas recategorizadoras com antropÃnimo, conforme CustÃdio Filho (2011) e Cavalcante e Brito (2016), pode acrescentar e confirmar informaÃÃes (CUSTÃDIO FILHO, 2011 e CAVALCANTE; BRITO, 2016), construindo efeitos de humor e sÃtira nos gÃneros em anÃlise; b) uma modificaÃÃo de natureza formal na expressÃo referencial por nome prÃprio, como amÃlgama (MONTEIRO, 2002), gera efeitos persuasivos, os quais estÃo a serviÃo da construÃÃo de um ponto de vista e da orientaÃÃo argumentativa do texto. Nesses casos, os processos referenciais por nome prÃprio sÃo evidÃncias de estereÃtipos culturais. ApÃs as anÃlises, constatamos a relevÃncia da consideraÃÃo dos processos referenciais com nome prÃprio em virtude de sua importÃncia para a apresentaÃÃo do referente e para as retomadas recategorizadoras, pelo uso estratÃgico de modificaÃÃes morfolÃgicas nessas expressÃes, com a finalidade de persuadir o interlocutor com acrÃscimos e confirmaÃÃes dos objetos de discurso. Dessa forma, o apelo a nomes prÃprios, tanto em introduÃÃes referenciais quanto em anÃforas diretas e indiretas, contribui para a dimensÃo argumentativa do texto, pois, por meio de associaÃÃes a estereÃtipos, influencia os modos de ver e sentir do interlocutor. / This dissertation aims to analyze how the referential processes by proper names compose argumentative strategies to the persuasive conduction of texts. According to Cavalcante (2017), the choice of certain referential processes orients the text argumentation. For this reason, we intended to analyze, under a sociocognitive and discursive perspective of referentiality, the introduction and anaphoric retakes processes of the referent that are, respectively, presented and recategorized with the collaboration of proper names. We support that, under the Textual Linguistics optics, the proper name can be analyzed as an object of discourse negotiated between interlocutors during the dynamic of enunciation (MONDADA; DUBOIS, 2003; CAVALCANTE, 2011). The methodology consists in a qualitative basis and hypothetical-deductive method; the occurrences that compose the analyzed data embrace 20 texts from several discursive genres, such as opinion articles, journalistic chronicles, Facebook and Twitter posts, charges, about the Brazilian political scenario in 2016. In the research, were tested the following hypothesis: a) the referential introduction with proper names â under the presence of amalgam â expresses a point of view that can be confirmed along the text (SILVA, 2013) and, in the recategorized retakes with anthroponymy, according to CustÃdio Filho (2011) and Cavalcante and Brito 92016), can add and reassure information (CUSTÃDIO FILHO, 2011 and CAVALCANTE; BRITO, 2016), building humor and satire effects on the analyzed genres; b) a formal modification in the referential expression by proper name, as amalgam (MONTEIRO, 2002), generates persuasive effects, which are at the service of a point of view and argumentative orientation in the text. In these cases, the referential processes by proper names can be evidences of cultural stereotypes. Upon the analyzes, we established the relevance of referential processes with proper names due to their importance to the referent presentation and to the recategorized retakes, by the strategic usage of morphologic modifications on these expressions, towards persuading the interlocutor with additions and confirmations of the object of discourse. Therefore, the appeal to proper names, in referential introductions as much as in direct and indirect anaphors, contributes to the text argumentative dimension, since, through the association to stereotypes, influences the ways of seeing and feeling of the interlocutor.

CoordenaÃÃo de AperfeiÃoamento de Pessoal de NÃvel Superior / nÃo hà / Nesta tese, reconsideramos os critÃrios que caracterizam as funÃÃes discursivas dos processos anafÃricos a partir da anÃlise de anÃncios publicitÃrios. Tivemos como objetivo identificar as funÃÃes discursivas presentes nos gÃneros notÃcia, anÃncio, artigo de opiniÃo e piada, tendo como ponto de partida o quadro de funÃÃes sugerido por Ciulla (2008). Tomamos como pressuposta uma perspectiva cognitivo-discursiva da referenciaÃÃo, pela qual tem sido ampliada a concepÃÃo de anÃforas. Uma abordagem discursiva para a anÃlise de processos referenciais deve considerar nÃo apenas a expressÃo referencial em si, mas o conjunto de elementos contextuais convocados para a negociaÃÃo sociocognitivo-discursiva dos referentes. Partindo desse pressuposto, julgamos necessÃrio realizar uma rediscussÃo dos critÃrios utilizados para a anÃlise das funÃÃes discursivas desempenhadas pelos processos anafÃricos. Tomamos como fonte teÃrica para o estudo das funÃÃes discursivas o trabalho de Ciulla (2008), que objetivou estabelecer critÃrios que permitissem uma visÃo ampliada dos processos referenciais que nÃo apenas revelasse funÃÃes, mas tambÃm levasse em conta a mutabilidade caracterÃstica do processo de construÃÃo referencial e, portanto, suportasse constantes acrÃscimos e ajustes, conforme a observaÃÃo das diversas situaÃÃes de uso. Especificamente, extraÃmos do trabalho de Ciulla (2008) o quadro de funÃÃes discursivas sugeridas pela autora, a fim de as testarmos em outros gÃneros, neste caso, a notÃcia, o anÃncio, o artigo de opiniÃo e a piada. Tal aplicaÃÃo exige uma reorganizaÃÃo do quadro de funÃÃes, levando em consideraÃÃo as caracterÃsticas contextuais em que esses gÃneros sÃo praticados. / In this thesis, we reconsider the criteria that characterize the discursive functions of anaphoric processes from the analysis of advertisements. The goal was to identify the discursive functions present in the genres news, add, opinion article and joke, taking as its starting point the framework of functions suggested by Ciulla (2008). We assumed a cognitive-discursive perspective of referral, through which has been expanded the conception of anaphoras. A discursive approach for the analysis of referential processes must consider not only the referred expression itself, but also the set of contextual elements arranged to the sociocognitive-discursive negotiation of the referents. Based on this assumption, we believe it is necessary to conduct a rediscussion of the criteria used for the analysis of the discursive functions performed by the anaphoric processes. The main framework for the study of the discursive function is the work of Ciulla (2008), which aims at establishing criteria that allow a boader view of referential processes that could not only reveal functions, but could also take into account the characteristic mutability of the process of referential construction and that could, therefore, stand constant additions and adjustments, according to the observation of the diverse situations of use. Specifically, we extracted from Ciulla's work (2008) the framework of discursive functions suggested by the author in order to test it in other genres: news, add, opinion article and joke. This application demands a reorganization of the mentioned framework, considering the contextual characteristics in which these genres are practiced.

nÃo hà / CoordenaÃÃo de AperfeiÃoamento de Pessoal de NÃvel Superior / Procedemos, a partir dos pressupostos da LingÃÃstica da EnunciaÃÃo, à problematizaÃÃo do quadro das heterogeneidades do tipo mostrada (marcada vs. nÃo-marcada), proposto por Authier-Revuz (1982). Nossa proposta consiste em sugerir que o escopo das ocorrÃncias dos fatos de heterogeneidade marcada seja flexibilizado, de modo a abarcar fenÃmenos de natureza (mais) cognitiva que evidenciam a presenÃa do alheio na materialidade lingÃÃstica num ponto especÃfico da cadeia do dizer, promovendo, destarte, uma articulaÃÃo entre heterogeneidade mostrada/marcada e referenciaÃÃo. Submetemos a um reexame, acrescentando o que nos pareceu pertinente, um conjunto de marcas que nÃo apenas as consagradas (como, por exemplo, negrito, mudanÃa de fonte, aspas, discurso direto) na tentativa de lhes conferir um estatuto de marcadores da presenÃa consciente do outro no fio discursivo, considerando a noÃÃo de leitor-modelo sugerida por Eco (1979). Para tanto, elegemos como categorias principais de anÃlise os processos referenciais anafÃricos e dÃiticos, o discurso indireto livre e a intertextualidade por alusÃo. Nossos resultados legitimaram nossa proposta e confirmaram o potencial marcativo de tais categorias. Palavras-chave: Heterogeneidade enunciativa; heterogeneidade mostrada/marcada; referenciaÃÃo; processos referenciais. / We proceed to the problematization of the frame of heterogeneities of the displayed type (marked versus not marked) as proposed by Authier-Revuz (1982) from the assumptions of the Linguistics of Enunciation. Our proposal consists in suggesting that the scope of the occurrences of facts of marked heterogeneity be widened in order that it includes phenomena of a (more) cognitive nature that make evident the presence of the other in the linguistic materialization in a specific point of the chain of the saying and, besides, articulate the displayed marked heterogeneity and the referentiation. We reexamine, appending whatever seems to us pertinent, a set of marks, besides those already established (e.g., bold face, font changing, inverted commas, direct speech) in an attempt to confer them the statute of markers of the conscious presence of the other in the discursive thread, considering the notion of model reader suggested by Eco (1979). To achieve this goal, we choose for main categories of analysis the deictic and anaphoric referential processes, the free indirect speech and the intertextuality by allusion. Our results legitimize our proposal and confirms the marking potential of such categories. Keywords: Enunciative heterogeneity, displayed/marked heterogeneity; referentiation; referential processes.

The hypothesis is that, by building argumentatively-oriented discourse objects, anaphoric referential processes enable to comply with college entrance essay proposals. The general goal is to investigate the relation between anaphoric referential processes and the exposure of the producer‟s position regarding a proposed theme. In order to achieve it, the following specific aims were established: (1) identifying both the discourse objects and their recategorization in college entrance essays; (2) identifying, describing, analyzing, and interpreting the anaphoric processes in college entrances essays; and (3) pondering upon the relation between such processes and the exposure of the producer‟s position vis-à-vis a proposed theme. This work is grounded both on Text Linguistics in its socio-cognitive and interactional perspective (KOCH, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2011; MARCUSCHI, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008; CAVALCANTE et al., 2010; BENTES E REZENDE, 2008, 2014; CAVALCANTE, 2011; CAVALCANTE, CUSTÓDIO FILHO E BRITO, 2104; MORATO, 2011), and on studies on context (HANKS, 2008; VAN DJIK, 2012). The examined corpus consists of 70 college entrance essays collected from the 2014 entrance exam of PUC-SP. As to the analysis, two categories were first established: (1) direct and indirect anaphora (regarding the anchoring processes), and (2) encapsulating anaphora (regarding their discursive functions). The research celebrates both the submitted hypothesis and the stated objectives, indicating new perspectives for the teaching and learning of writing and reading in view of the development of writing proficiency, chiefly regarding textual-discursive strategies / Esta tese situa-se na linha de pesquisa Leitura, Escrita e Ensino de Língua Portuguesa, do Programa de Estudos Pós-Graduados em Língua Portuguesa da Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP), e tem como tema os processos referenciais anafóricos em redações de vestibular. Admitimos a hipótese de que, construindo objetos de discurso argumentativamente orientados, os processos referenciais anafóricos viabilizam o atendimento a uma proposta de redação de vestibular. Temos como objetivo geral investigar a relação entre os processos referenciais anafóricos e a exposição do posicionamento do produtor frente a um tema proposto. Para alcançar esse objetivo, estabelecemos os seguintes objetivos específicos: identificar os objetos de discurso e suas recategorizações em redações de vestibular; identificar, descrever, analisar e interpretar os processos anafóricos nas redações e refletir sobre a relação entre esses processos referenciais e a exposição do posicionamento do produtor frente ao tema proposto. O corpus examinado é composto por 70 redações do vestibular de 2014 da PUC-SP e a análise considerou as seguintes categorias: anáforas diretas e indiretas relativas aos processos de ancoragem e anáforas encapsuladoras e suas funções.
