Individuell anpassningsbar operatörstol : Ett nytt koncept för individanpassade sitsar inom dentalbranschen. / Individualized customizable operator seat : A new concept for individualized seat in the dental industry

Harling, Julia January 2022 (has links)
This report addresses a product development project carried out in the course of degree project for the MSGC36 in Innovation Technology and Design at Karlstad University. The project is being performed during the spring semester 2022 by Julia Harling and the course comprises 22.5 hp. The supervisor for the project is Monica Jakobsson and the examiner is Leo De Vin.     The project is carried out on behalf of Support Design AB, which manufactures and distributes ergonomic chairs, stools and saddle chairs in Sunne, Värmland. Support Design AB's largest trading area is in the dental industry. The main users are dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants and dental nurses.    The work mainly follows methods within design processes to generate a concept that Support Design AB sees doable to produce and become part of their sortiment. The project also follows the product development process by classifying: project planning, feasibility study, product specification, concept generation, concept analysis, design, manufacturing adaptation and project finalization.    The project seeks new concept to solve the need Support Design AB users expressed in terms of demand for individualized operator chairs in the field of dentistry.  The aim of the project is to apply and find a solution to the appropriate issue against the project demand within relevant framework. To come up with a concept that is well adapted to the user´s needs and the requirements set during the project.    The project resulted in answering the needs, requirements and problem definition. The solution is a chair seat that is attachable, which results in the user being able to easily adjust the seat according to body shape, working posture or needs for comfort and ergonomics. A substructure with the functions of Hooking and attaching is permanently attached to Support Design AB's existing base. On top of the substructure, the seat is mounted via hooking and fastening, which secures the position of the seat during use. Seat selection is made by the user and hooks in with ease, providing comfort and ease of use for the user.  The concept is presented through description, sketches, CAD designs and prototype.

Design a ergonomie ruÄnho nad / Design and ergonomics of hand tools

Sovjk, Richard January 2021 (has links)
The diploma thesis is focused on the analysis of the power tools ergonomics and also on the economic impact on a sick employee in the Czech Republic. It presents the results of the characteristics of hand tools in terms of their design, usage positions and handling. It introduces current legislation and ergonomic methods, including the newly designed visual tool AAL. The tool enables ergonomic analysis of positional rotation of the limbs, torso and neck, including the input of strength and muscle parameters. AAL is integrated into Excel software with the possibility of integrating data from Rhinoceros software and the Grasshopper module, which automatically generates data. The analysis is based on 3D scans of 144 power tools that are divided into 11 groups. It analyzes 13 typical diseases and their economic impacts. From an economic point of view, the costs per sick employee are almost 57% higher compared to a healthy employee. The author's design of the ergonomic part of the tool is also part of the thesis.
