Bezpečnostní a monitorovací systém rodinného domu / Home Security and Monitoring System

Valach, Lukáš January 2016 (has links)
The thesis elaborates on an implementation of wireless home security system. The wireless communication utilizes IEEE 802.15.4 radios and ZigBee communication protocol. The beginning of the thesis provides specification of the intended system followed by an evaluation of usable energy harvesting solutions and later by consideration of single board computer systems suitable for implementation of the control node of the sensor network. The rest of the thesis describes design, implementation and testing of particular components of the security system. Conclusion evaluates the achieved goals and offers suggestions for future work. The end products of the thesis are physical devices implementing wireless sensor nodes, control unit of the security system as well as a graphical user interface for the system management.

Měření veličin ve stavebních konstrukcích / Meassuring system for building constructions

Flagar, Vojtěch January 2017 (has links)
This paper deals with the hardware and software design of the data acquisition distributed system with large amount of connected sensors. The intended application of this work is measuring some physical quantities in the building constructions. The designed system is hierarchically divided into the three levels. On the highest level there is a single-board computer Raspberry Pi which is used as a master on RS-485 bus. There can be up to 32 slave devices on the bus while each of them collects data from the sensors connected to 4-channel I2C bus. At the same time the Raspberry Pi is used as a web server, providing the user interface of the system.

PC aplikace pro návrh animačních scénářů pro animované funkce světlometů. / PC application design animation scripts for animated features headlamps / tail lamps.

Kalina, Michal January 2017 (has links)
This thesis deals with design and creation of user-friendly computer application, which is in the simple and intuitive way capable of creating animation scripts for animated features of headlamps and tail lamps used in automotive industry. Part of this solution is visualization of these scripts using miniature computer Raspberry PI and suitable diplay device.

Trådlös dynamisk lastbalansering

Turesson, Joakim, Ivarsson, Filip January 2021 (has links)
The purpose of this project was to create a gateway between a Z-Wave device and a Bluetooth device. The gateway is supposed to make it possible for the company AES AB to sell and install a dynamic load balancer to their EV charger, even after it’s already been installed. The method that was used during this project was LIPS, where the project where divided into multiple subtargets. Each subtarget then had it’s own test which is shown in the results. The results for the overall project and not just the subtargets, are that a concept solution was created. The concept solution was able to forward the Z-Wave devices values to the Bluetooth device that was the target, but did so using a Raspberry Pi and a Z-Wave stick instead of a Z-Wave transceiver. The conclusion for the bachelor thesis is that the concept solution worked, and the demands of the assignment was fullfilled.

Aggregation and power forecasting for the CoordiNet power flexibility market in Uppsala

Hjelm, Daniel, Wreeby, Emanuel, Sjöström, Anton January 2021 (has links)
In the region of Uppland, a shortage of electric power during cold days has emerged during the past years by virtue of the electrification of the society and industry in general. As a result, a power flexibility market managed by the CoordiNet project has commenced to hopefully create a more reliant, eco-friendly and accessible electricity supply. Uppsala kommun wishes to participate in the market but needs a solution for communication between market and technology and smart control methods. In this project, the solution to the problem, consisting of a mobile app, API, database, server and deep learning model, almost meets the requirements to participate on the market this autumn. With more time and resources, the product can hopefully be completed, enabling both economic and city growth in the region.

IOT BASED LOW-COST PRECISION INDOOR FARMING

Madhu Lekha Guntaka (11211111) 30 July 2021 (has links)
<p>There is a growing demand for indoor farm management systems that can track plant growth, allow automatic control and aid in real-time decision making. Internet of Thing (IoT)-based solutions are being applied to meet these needs and numerous researchers have created prototypes for meeting specific needs using sensors, algorithms, and automations. However, limited studies are available that report on comprehensive large-scale experiments to test various aspects related to availability, scalability and reliability of sensors and actuators used in low-cost indoor farms. The purpose of this study was to develop a low-cost, IoT devices driven indoor farm as a testbed for growing microgreens and other experimental crops. The testbed was designed using off-the-shelf sensors and actuators for conducting research experiments, addressing identified challenges, and utilizing remotely acquired data for developing an intelligent farm management system. The sensors were used for collecting and monitoring electrical conductivity (EC), pH and dissolved oxygen (DO) levels of the nutrient solution, light intensity, environmental variables, and imagery data. The control of light emitting diodes (LEDs), irrigation pumps, and camera modules was carried out using commercially available components. All the sensors and actuators were remotely monitored, controlled, and coordinated using a cloud-based dashboard, Raspberry Pis, and Arduino microcontrollers. To implement a reliable, real-time control of actuators, edge computing was used as it helped in minimizing latency and identifying anomalies.</p> <p>Decision making about overall system performance and harvesting schedule was accomplished by providing alerts on anomalies in the sensors and actuators and through installation of cameras to predict yield of microgreens, respectively. A split-plot statistical design was used to evaluate the effect of lighting, nutrition solution concentration, seed density, and day of harvest on the growth of microgreens. This study complements and expands past efforts by other researchers on building a low cost IoT-based indoor farm. While the experience with the testbed demonstrates its real-world potential of conducting experimental research, some major lessons were learnt along the way that could be used for future enhancements.</p>

Improving the diagnostic process for robotic lawnmowers : After-sales efficiency benefits from an Experimental Diagnostic Tool

Appelberg, John, Andersson, Adam January 2022 (has links)
An Experimental Diagnostic Tool (EDT) was developed to increase the efficiency of the diagnostic process of robotic lawn mowers which resulted in a 200% productivity increase when utilizing a proposed formula specifically designed for the diagnostic process of robotic lawn mowers. The tool does not only extract and process data from the robotic lawn mower wirelessly but also highlights potential faults through an intuitive and easy-to-use interface - empowering servicing technicians who perform the diagnostics to perform at a higher level. Further, efficiency is a term widely used in various domains and contexts when measuring the capacity of a process. Proposed general definitions of the term have been given by previous authors and researchers. However, due to a lack of universally set definitions which fit all situations, the term remains ambiguous when improvements to a specific process are needed. The unclear definition is due to the variations within each process affecting the definition of both the term itself, but also similar terms fundamentally connected to it such as productivity, performance, and profitability. The following report contains an investigation of exploratory research where the understanding of efficiency and its related concepts are analyzed within the after-sales diagnostic process of robotic lawn mowers.
