Sua configuração surge como resultado do constante movimento social através da História, passando assim, por um processo de produção e reprodução. Analisamos neste estudo as relações sociais entre famílias de origem italiana, na Paróquia da Santa Cruz, no município de Mogi Mirim/SP. Essas famílias produzem e reproduzem seu espaço, marcado por relações de parentesco, de trabalho e entrosamento com o bairro e a cidade. Características como o vínculo entre os membros da comunidade, sustentado por sua origem, pela fé católica, pelo laço familiar e por uma cultura construída ao longo do tempo em torno da terra; são estruturas que implicam na produção e reprodução deste espaço específico. A idéia de bairro rural neste contexto torna-se de grande valia para a compreensão desta formação territorial. Portanto, entendemos que tais características definem territorialidades que são reconstruídas através de grupos geracionais e marcada pelo uso do poder da identidade com o lugar. Os vínculos estabelecidos por essas famílias, através de práticas e valores, que permitem uma forma específica de inserção na economia local e regional, modernizada e em ritmo acelerado de crescimento. / Abstract: The present work tries to approach the geographical space as a way to understand the contemporary society, as product and condition of itself. Its configuration emerges as a result of the constant social movement through the History passing, this way, through a process of production and reproduction. In this study it is being analyzed the social relations among Italian origin families in Santa Cruz parish, in Mogi Mirim/SP. These families produce and reproduce their space which is marked by relations of relationships, of work and of getting along well with the district and the city. Some characteristics as the link among the members of the community, supported by its origin, by its Catholic faith, by the family ties and by a cultural that was build along the time around the land, are structures that imply the production and reproduction of this specific space. The idea of the rural district in this context is very valuable to understand this territorial formation. Therefore, we understand that these characteristics drawn a territory that is appropriated by the identity, which is reconstructed through generated groups and marked by the use of the identity power with the place. The established links by these families through practices and values allow a specific form of input in the regional and local economy that is modern and has an accelerated growth rate. / Mestre

CAPES - Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / Esta dissertação diz respeito a três grandes conceitos/categorias utilizados historicamente no conjunto das Ciências Humanas e Sociais: espaço, cultura e religião. A partir de uma perspectiva fenomenológica compreensiva e interpretativa, foi analisada a produção do espaço sagrado neopentecostal considerando três dimensões: a econômica, a política e a do lugar. Articula, a partir das análises, categorias do bojo da ciência geográfica como espaço, territorialidade, paisagem e lugar. O percurso metodológico possui inspiração etnográfica, apreendendo metodologias como a observação participante, o diário de campo e as entrevistas semiestruturadas. O objeto empírico compreende uma instituição religiosa neopentecostal contemporânea, surgida em Uberlândia, e que revela um tipo específico de neopentecostalismo, o underground. Os resultados sintetizados apontam para negações, por parte dos fieis e lideranças religiosas, do conservadorismo, do ascetismo e dos aspectos doutrinários. / This dissertation concerns three major concepts/categories historically used in the human and social sciences as a whole: space, culture and religion. From a comprehensive and interpretative phenomenological perspective, the production of the neopentecostal sacred space was analyzed considering three dimensions: economic, political and of the place. It articulates, from the analyzes, categories advent of geographic science as space, territoriality, landscape and place. The methodological route has ethnographic inspiration, apprehending methodologies such as participant observation, field diary and semi-structured interviews. The empirical object comprises the religious institution contemporary neopentecostal, which emerged in Uberlândia, and which reveals a specific type of neopentecostalism, the underground. The synthesized results evidence denials by the believer and religious leaders of conservatism, asceticism and doctrinal aspects. / Dissertação (Mestrado)

The research is a result of the questions made around the implicit symbols in the image of the medium Chico Xavier, starting in the places used and appropriated for him in the spread of Christian Spiritism in Uberaba/MG. It has as objetive to define the contents in the created places for this kind of religion involving the person of the medium that consists in understanding the processes of sacred places, even after his death. The central topic of this research is the figure of myth. It takes as fundamental focus of analysis some writers of places and we change the same anallysis of social and sacred places, procedure shared with different social sciences. After analysing the structures, the forms and the contents of the analysis of place, we emphasize the processes of social organization until we reach the real position of the people who continue the work of myth and the organizations, there is, the appropriate place, like: the house, the museum, the book shop, the spiritual center, the assistential group and even the mausoleum. Thus, is was possible to decode the places from the uses and appropriations established by the medium and his public demostrating the social practices in the structure of Spiritism. However, it is evident the image of myth, we try to analyse the legacy of the medium and in his followers, besides the forms of appropriations of these places and of the spread of his teaching. / A pesquisa é resultado de questionamentos realizados em torno do simbolismo implícitos na imagem do médium Chico Xavier, a partir dos espaços usados e apropriados por ele na difusão do Espiritismo Cristão em Uberaba/MG. Tem como objetivo decifrar os conteúdos dos espaços criados a partir da doutrina espírita, envolvendo a pessoa do médium que consistem em compreender os processos de sacralização de espaços, mesmo após a sua morte. O problema central da pesquisa em questão é o espaço do mito. Tomam-se como ponto fundamental de análise alguns teóricos do espaço e desloca-se a mesma análise do espaço social para o espaço sagrado; procedimento este compartilhado por diversas correntes das ciências sociais. Analisadas as estruturas, as formas e os conteúdos da unidade de análise do espaço, enfatizam-se os processos de organização social, até atingir as posições concretas das pessoas que continuam a obra do mito e das organizações, ou seja, os espaços apropriados como: a casa e/ou museu, a livraria, o centro espírita, o grupo assistencial e, por fim, o mausoléu. Assim, foi possível decifrar os lugares a partir dos usos e apropriações estabelecidas pelo médium e por seu público demonstrando as práticas sociais demandadas na estruturação do Espiritismo. Embora seja evidente sua imagem de mito, busca-se analisar nos legados do médium e em seus seguidores, além das formas de apropriação desses espaços e da difusão de seus ensinamentos. / Mestre em Geografia
