Diploma thesis Psychological aspects of the role stepfather aims to map out the expanding phenomenon in contemporary society, which is the presence of stepfathers newly composed families. The theoretical part is based on foreign resources, and tries to bring the theoretical framework of the issue. First, from a wider perspective on the family in contemporary society, divorce and the impact of these changes on the family constellation. Subsequently, much more closely focused on the very topic of stepfathers. This task is not so easy, due to the limits of available information and realized studies dealing with this phenomenon. For this reason, it follows the empirical study aiming to outline the current situation of stepfathers. This study is based on interviews with respondents and points to the aspects of this particular family constellation.

88 Abstract Thesis title: Marriage In my thesis I deal with pernament and unchangeable characters of marriage, including terminology, and also transformations of the marriage in relation with changing of the legislation and transformation of the society. The main object of my thesis is to give a structured and summary image of the problematics marriage with context of present legislation but also historical events for a reader. At first three chapters I dedicated to the theoretical aspects of the marriage which are important for the understanding of primary terminology and historical contexts. From the fourth chapter ,,rights and obligations of spouses" I tried to route my thesis more to the practice of matrimonial law. One of the most important and the most difficult part of marriage are property relations between spouses, especially at divorce is sometimes very difficult to deal with the property between spouses. This thesis concerns the issue of a family with a child with combined disability. It maps stories of three families which have disabled children like this. In particular, it is about Angelman syndrome, Down syndrome and poliomyelitis. The theoretical part deals with combined disability, specifics of families with a disabled child and social services. Within the chapter combined disability, there is a summary of the most important facts about diagnoses relating to the practical part, which means Angelman syndrome, Down syndrome and poliomyelitis. Therefore, the thesis is further focused on the area of social services which proceed from valid legislation. The practical part of the thesis is based on interviews with respondents belonging to families with a child with combined disability. The perception of individual life events of the families is very subjective and influenced by a whole range of circumstances. Therefore, especially the individual records of interviews are interesting. Furthermore, social services provided to families with a child with combined disability are mapped there, together with some basic information about them. This work focuses on family issues and its development from 1989 to the present. By analyzing the demographic characteristics and sociological facts are trying to determine whether the education of the child is still determined by marriage or otherwise under the common coexistence of household. The thesis is divided into three main chapters. The first analyzes the demographic characteristics associated with households. The second chapter is devoted to the concepts of family and household. The final chapter contains data analysis of the Labour Force Survey for the home. In conclusion, we find the reflection on the future development of family issues.

Thesis focuses on family policy and equal opportunities in connection with the issue of balancing work and family. The main objective is to analyse and recommend the most effective options to improve the situation. Beginning of the study is focused on the family and its development; change family behaviour, family policy in the Czech Republic and attitudes of young people to marriage and family. Taking into account financial and non-financial activities also aimed at supporting families. It also deals with family policy in the context of equal opportunities and parenting tools from the state and employers. It also gives multinational concepts that may in the future become an important tool to support reconciliation of parental and professional roles. Analytical part distinguishes the various instruments of family policies and their impact on incentives to work. At the same time this part analyses instruments contributing to improving the position and participation of women in the labour market. Finally, it describes the government's strategy for gender equality for the period 2014-2015 in connection with reported issues. Attention is paid to the survey of parental attitudes to the law on the provision of childcare services in the children's group, using quantitative methods of investigation.

Statistical data collection is on high level at this time in European countries including Czech Republic. However, there is still a space for enriching statistics and looking for innovative ways of using obtained data. In context of the governments' efforts to promote equal opportunities for women and men, gender statistics is being addressed. It should serve as a base for detecting a position of women and men in all areas of the society and it should help to evaluate the impact of various actions ex ante as well as ex post. The aim of this diploma thesis is to continue to fulfill the intention to provide an interconnected picture of need for gender statistics in connection with diploma thesis written by Ing. Barbora Stanislavová in 2013. The emphasis is put on adding information on current course of gender studies connected with economy and on describing selected gender statistics indicators. The previous thesis covers general gender equality indicators and labour market area, this diploma thesis concentrates on indicators in family area. Gender statistics description is accompanied by actual data for Czech Republic and other European countries in order to provide illustrative example of use of gender statistics.
