Iskandar, Jouli 06 June 2012 (has links)
In this thesis, we develop a reflection on the contribution of the women to economic and social development, in particular in the developing countries. We focus on the one hand on the difficulties that the women face and which prevent their active participation in economy, on the other hand on the importance of the policies of insertion of the women in the saleable output for the development. In spite of the fast increase in the level of education of the women and their rate of participation at the job market, most between them remain victims of professional discriminations. The wages of the women are still lower than for men for the same work. The entry of the women on the job market has consequences on all the aspects of the economic and social life. The paid work of the women accelerates the growth and supports the exit of the poverty. There are two parts in this thesis. The first part presents the inequalities between women and men concerning education, wages, work and unemployment. It focuses primarily on the role of women’s paid work in the development of the developing countries. The second part will supplement the first part by two statistical tests. The first test measures the principal factors of women’s difficulties and the relation between the level of development of a country and the degree of equality between men and women. The second test measures the relations between women’s economic activities and the economic growth. It appears that the improvements of the economic activity due to participation of women are more important during the emergence of the economies than they are in industrialized economies. Shen, Yu-Ting January 2015 (has links)
The main goal of the thesis was to discover the relation between Taiwan economic development and women position with respect to the analysis of trade liberalization in Taiwan (especially after 1990) and its influence on Taiwanese economic status of women and their opportunity to participate in trade. The thesis uses descriptive analysis which is one of the quantitative method as a mean to interpret the selected data to discuss the changing role of women in the economic development of Taiwan. The conclusions from the thesis are as follows. The economic development of Taiwan has placed women at the important position. In just fifty years, Taiwan has experienced rapid economic development, which transformed the industrial structure to the service sector. After becoming officially a member of WTO in 2002, the female labor participation rate has continued to grow year by year up to more than 50% till today and most of the women participate in the service sector. Till 2014, average hourly payment of men has been 15% higher than the one of women, though the women reached higher level of education. The rising women position in the society affects that women not only postpone the age of getting married and having a baby, but also the fertility rate has been reduced to 1.1 in Taiwan.

Análisis de las adaptaciones de Anne of Green Gables en relación con la representación del rol de las mujeres del siglo XIX / Analysis of Anne of Green Gables audiovisual adaptations with regard to the representation of women’s role in the 19th century

Arce Luque, Lucia Crisitina, Cordova Saravia, Claudia Elizabeth 17 July 2021 (has links)
Anne of Green Gables is a series of books that narrates the story of Anne Shirley, a girl adopted erroneously by two siblings, her adventures in the Canadian town of Avonlea, her new friendships, and her personal growth. This novel has been adapted for audiovisual media in different countries and at different times. It also depicts the sex-gender system in a 19th century Canadian setting and female characters who challenge this system. Therefore, this research focuses on how the role of 19th century women is represented in three audiovisual adaptations: Anne of Green Gables (1934), Anne of Green Gables (1985) y Anne with an E (2017), taking as source text the first three books of the saga:  Anne of Green Gables (1908), Anne of Avonlea (1909), Anne of the Island (1915). These adaptations will be understood as multimodal translation approach since they are cultural products which experience intersemiotic transposition from one sign system to another (Hutcheon & O’Flynn, 2013). This research will be undertaken by means of content analysis and multimodal contrastive analysis of the objects of study. Furthermore, it will be employed the model of adaptation shifts proposed by Perdikaki. / Trabajo de investigación

Cabanilla, Mara 10 July 2019 (has links)
In Latin America, specifically in ecuador dominates family businesses being estimated at 90% under the definition that members of the family of the founder or the same founder continue in administration, control or management, finding 55,130 registered in the Superintendence of Companies, with an equity of some USD 25,976 million, a contribution to the country's GDP of 51% and the generation of 1.6 million jobs.Data from the Global Family Business Survey- Ecuador 2018, highlights that 43% of these companies are single-product companies and 77% have the following generations working in the firm.According to Camino-Mogro & Bermúdez-Barrezueta (2018), these companies represent 85%, being the microenterprises the largest number, followed by SMEs and large companies. Among them is to describe the individual factors of the predecessor-founder conditioning the process of succession in the family business; Categorize the motivations or components that influence the generation of commitment of the possible successors in the family business and finally explain the effects of gender in succession planning, valuing family composition, primogeniture and the role of women [...].
