For this, it took into account the point view of Foucault's about modernity and heterotopias of crisis crossed by the literary language. In this sense we studied some of the works of this author, in addition, of course, other authors in order to maintain a dialogue about the subject. Between the work of Foucault, it should be noted: The Order of Things, Discipline and Punish: The birth of the Prison; The Order of Discourse, Microphysics of Power, Dits et Écrits 3, and Le Corps Utopique - Les Heterotopies. The object of this thesis is the Bildungsroman as an original heterotopic place. The child development grows at the confluence of the two heterotopies: boarding school and adolescence. In the novel, the construction of the subjectivity is given by the forms of discourse production, by the power of relationships and affection in interpersonal relationships networks that are woven and woven as the narrative progresses. According to the adopted perspective, we studied the philosophical influences present in the novel and tried to show that The Young Törless as a Bildungsroman and as heterotopia exposes the relationships that underlie Törless subjectivity construction while he attends the boarding school in the late nineteenth century to the twentieth century. / Esta tese trata-se de um estudo exploratório do romance O Jovem Törless, de Robert Musil, como romance de formação e como heterotopia. Para isso, levou-se em consideração o pensamento de Foucault para heterotopias atravessadas pela linguagem literária. Nesse sentido foram estudadas algumas das obras desse autor, além, evidentemente, das de outros autores como forma de manter um diálogo a respeito do tema. Da obra de Foucault, foram lidas As palavras e as coisas, A Ordem do Discurso, Microfísica do Poder, Ditos e Escritos III, Des Espaces Autres e Le Corps Utopique – Les Heterotopies. O objeto desta tese é o romance de formação como espaço heterotópico por excelência, espaço em que se dá a formação do indivíduo na confluência de duas heterotopia: o internato e a adolescência. No romance a construção da subjetividade se dá pelas formas de produção discursiva em disputa nesses espaços, pelas relações de poder que aí tem lugar, pelas redes de relações que são tecidas e entretecidas à medida que a narrativa avança. De acordo com a perspectiva adotada, estudaram-se as influências filosóficas presentes no romance e procurou-se demonstrar que O Jovem Törless como romance de formação e como heterotopia expõe as relações que subjazem à trajetória de formação de Törless como estudante de colégio interno, relações, essas, condizentes com a formação escolar na virada do século XIX para o século XX.

O trabalho propõe um diálogo entre Fausto I, de Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, e Grande sertão: Veredas, de João Guimarães Rosa, acerca do tema do amor. O estudo tem o objetivo de analisar o processo de transformação que esse sentimento promove nos dois protagonistas, Fausto e Riobaldo, descortinando confluências e distanciamentos no tocante às suas experiên-cias. A pesquisa é feita sob a perspectiva histórica do desenvolvimento desse tema na litera-tura ocidental, servindo como ponto de referência para o estudo particular das obras. A cons-trução do espaço, as técnicas narrativas e a vivência do amor são os pontos principais que nortearão o estudo do tema. / The assessment proposes a dialogue between Fausto I, by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, and Grande Sertão: Veredas, by João Guimarães Rosa, around the love theme. The studys objective is to analyse the transformation process these sentiments promote on both protago-nists Faust and Riobaldo, unveiling confluences and distances towards its experiences. The research is concluded based on historic perspective of the development of this theme in occi-dental literature. It is considered as a main point of reference for the particular study work piece. Within the scenario, as well as the narrative techniques and love experience are the key points that will guide the study theme throughout.

A vida de um jovem e seu percurso pelo mundo em busca de sua identidade é o mote do romance de formação, subgênero que teve seu auge entre os séculos XVIII e XIX. Franco Moretti e Esther Labovitz, entre outros críticos por nós considerados, estudaram a fundo o romance de formação o Bildungsroman , sendo que esta última autora focalizou a variante feminina no Bildungsroman do século XX. O presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar o romance da escritora italiana Melania Mazzucco Lei così amata. O romance recorta e focaliza uma parte da vida da escritora suíça Annemarie Schwarzenbach, portanto possui as características do romance biográfico. Contudo, pretendemos, neste estudo, evidenciar principalmente as características que fazem dessa obra um romance de formação. Por meio da conturbada trajetória vivida pela protagonista, buscamos reconhecer, nas viagens empreendidas por ela, ao redor do mundo, as características fundamentais do romance de formação. Em particular, com base nos estudos de Mikhail Bakhtin sobre o cronotopo, analisamos as formas com que o tempo vivido nos diferentes continentes Ásia, América e África marcam o percurso formativo da heroína. / The life of a young man and his way through the world in search of his own identity is the motto of the formation novel, subgenre which had its climax between the 18th and the 19th centuries. Franco Moretti and Esther Labovitz, among other critics considered by us, studied the formation novel in depth the Bildungsroman , this last author focusing on the feminine variant in the Bildungsroman of the 20th century. This study aims at analyzing the novel of the Italian writer Melania Mazzucco Lei così amata. The novel focuses on part of the life of the Swiss writer Annemarie Schwarzenbach, therefore it presents all the characteristics of the biographical novel. However, in this study, our main intention is to demonstrate all the features that make this work a formation novel. Through the troubled trajectory lived by the protagonist, we try to recognize, in her journeys around the world, the fundamental features of the formation novel. In particular, based on the Mikhail Bakhtins studies of the chronotope, we analyze the forms in which the time lived in the different continents Asia, America and Africa determine the heroines formative course.

Este trabalho estuda as heroínas de Júlio Dinis, mostrando como no universo narrativo do autor, são sempre as protagonistas femininas, figuras de síntese entre o tradicional e o novo, a determinar a direção dos eventos narrativos, na oferta de uma solução ficcional dos conflitos político-sociais. Solução essa que transita pela categoria dos sentimentos e que se propõe num texto cujas características metafóricas são sustentadas pela intencionalidade pedagógica. / This work studies the heroines of Julio Dinis. Showing as in the author\'s narrative universe, the female protagonists, which are a synthesis between the traditional and the new, determine the narrative events direction, bringing a fictional solution to political-social conflicts. Such solution passes through the feeling category and is presented in a text whose metaphorical characteristics are supported by a pedagogical intentionality.

O estudo baseia-se em duas perspectivas em especial: a escrita de si e a escrita do outro. No que diz respeito a esta última, observamos os tons etnográficos e historiográficos que aparecem no romance e remetem à tradição. The study is based in two specific perspectives: self-writing and writing about the Other. Concerning the latter, we focused on the nuances of ethnography and historiography that show up in the novel and might be linked to the tradition. About self-writing, we analyze the novels relation to the concept of Novel of Development, very common in travel writing. As a conclusion, we suggest that the book either follows the trends, or rebels, depending on the point of view. On the Road and its author could be considered, therefore, always on the move

Em virtude disto, tem-se discutido qual seria a melhor classificação de gênero para a obra: romance biográfico, obra historiográfica, romance histórico. A presente dissertação investiga em que medida a Ciropedia de Xenofonte apresenta elementos narrativos que nos permitam reconhecer nela aspectos do gênero do romance, mais especificamente do “romance de formação” (Bildungsroman), gênero cujo paradigma se encontra na obra de Goethe, Os Anos de Aprendizagem de Wilhelm Meister (1795-1796). Primeiramente, procuramos definir em que medida nós podemos ler a Ciropedia como uma obra de ficção, e não como uma obra historiográfica, a partir de reflexões a respeito das relações entre Literatura e História, e, principalmente, por meio de uma análise comparativa entre a narrativa da Ciropedia com a narrativa das Histórias de Heródoto. Percebe-se que Xenofonte ficcionaliza a narrativa estabelecida por Heródoto, seja retomando temas, seja fazendo alusões à narrativa herodoteana. Em seguida, partindo-se da noção bakhtiniana de que todo gênero conserva, em sua estrutura, elementos formais da archaica, que não só caracterizam o gênero de forma distintiva, mas também permitem a sua renovação a cada nova manifestação literária, procuramos definir quais elementos essenciais presentes no Romance de Formação moderno encontramos na Ciropedia. Analisamos cenas em que são evidentes a partipação de mentores, a presença de uma instituição pedagógica, a visão teleológica da educação. Além disso, uma das características essenciais do “Romance de Formação” é a presença de uma personagem dinâmica e evolutiva, que se forma e educa... / The Xenophon’s Cyropaedia, written in the fourth century B.C., it is a work of hybrid character, in which fiction and history mingle with a lot of freedom. Because of this, it has been discussed what would be the best genre classification for the work: biographical novel, work of historiography, historical novel. This dissertation investigates the extent to which Cyropaedia Xenophon's narrative has elements that allow us to recognize aspects of her romance genre, specifically the “Novel of Education” (Bildungsroman), genre whose paradigm is in the work Goethe’s Wilhelm Meister's Apprenticeship (1795-1796). First, we looked to define to what extent we can read the Cyropaedia as a work of fiction, and not as a work of historiography, from reflections on the relationship between Literature and History, and mainly through a comparative analysis between the narrative of Cyropaedia and the narrative of Herodotus’ Histories. We realize that Xenophon fictionalizes the narrative established by Herodotus, whether taking up subjects, or alluding to the Herodotus' narratives. Then, starting from the Bakhtin's notion that every genre preserves, in the structure, formal elements of archaica, that not only characterize the genre in the form distinctive, but also allows its renewal every new literary manifestation, we tried to define which essential elements present in modern novel of education we can find in Cyropaedia. We analyze scenes where are evident the action of mentors, the presence of an educational institution, the theological view of education. Moreover, an important characteristic essential of the “Novel of Education” is the presence of a dynamic and evolutionary character, that get formation in the course of the narrative.
