Nietzsche (1844-1900) nas Ciências da Linguagem. Perguntando-se sobre os pontos de contato entre as diversas teorias lingüísticas e o pensamento do filósofo, propõe-se a filiação da chamada hipótese Sapir-Whorf à filosofia de Nietzsche. Desse modo, procura-se compreender a constituição das teorias e dos métodos lingüísticos a partir do campo heterogêneo que caracteriza as Ciências da Linguagem. Apresenta-se com esse fim um panorama do problema da linguagem em Nietzsche e, em seguida, defendem-se os graus de consonância e dissonância entre os autores. Desse modo, argumenta-se que Nietzsche é uma condição de possibilidade para o pensamento de E. Sapir e B. Whorf. No jogo entre memória e esquecimento, é sempre lembrado o nome de W. von Humboldt enquanto "precursor" da hipótese. Percebe-se, entretanto, que no gesto epistemológico de "olhar para trás" em busca de bases, muitas vezes os autores, quando "voltam" desse gesto, o fazem já afetados por toda uma gama de outras idéias que modificaram a primeira, e é nesse sentido que se apresenta a filiação da hipótese a Nietzsche / Abstract: As from the point of view of History of Linguistic Ideas, the research investigates the filiations to the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1990) on the Language Sciences. By questioning the contact points between the various linguistic theories and the philosopher's thoughts, the filiation of the so-called Sapir-Whorf hypothesis to Nietzsche's philosophy is proposed. Thus, It seeks the understanding on the linguistic theories and methods constitution, as from the heterogeneous field that characterizes the Language Sciences. In order to do so, it presents an overview on the matter of language at Nietzsche and, thereafter, the levels of consonance and dissonance among the authors are endorsed. Hence, it is defended that Nietzsche represents a condition of possibility for E. Sapir and B. Whorf's reasoning. As in the play-off between memory and forgetfulness, the name of W. von Humboldt is always recalled as the "forerunner" of the hypothesis. It can be perceived, however, that on the epistemological act of "looking back" in search for ground, the authors often "return" from this gesture rather affected by a whole other range of ideas that have, thus, modified the previous ones, and it is in that sense that the hypothesis filiation to Nietzsche presents itself / Mestrado / Linguistica / Mestre em Linguística

Les écrits semblent poser en principe un lien étroit entre langage et pensée. Autant on semble affirmer le principe de l'indissociabilité de ce lien entre le langage et la pensée, autant on explique peu comment s'établit ce lien. L'objectif de ce mémoire est d'étudier de plus près comment certains auteurs expliquent ce lien indissociable. L'objet second constitue une critique de cette indissociabilité. A l'aide de certains ouvrages, dont ceux de Gusdorf, Sapir et Wittgenstein, j'ai observé que les liens entre la pensée et le langage ont des similitudes et des divergences. Par exemple, par des chemins différents, Gusdorf et Sapir ont des positions qui se ressemblent. La réciprocité et le mutualisme semblent les principaux liens qui expliquent, selon ces auteurs, l'indissociabilité entre la pensée et le langage. Dans Investigations philosophiques, Wittgenstein suggère, pour sa part, l'indissociabilité entre la pensée et le langage. Pour cet auteur, le langage est antérieur à la pensée. Et c'est le langage qui fait apparaître la pensée. Dans Tractatus logico-philosophicus, de même que dans Remarques philosophiques, la pensée et le langage semblent dissociables. La pensée est plutôt affirmée comme étant antérieure au langage. Ce n'est pas le langage qui rend nécessairement manifeste la pensée; celle-ci doit se rendre manifeste d'elle-même. Si les philosophes semblent plutôt d'accord pour affirmer l'indissociabilité entre la pensée et le langage, je suis surpris de constater que les argumentations sont peu élaborées pour expliquer cette sorte de lien. L'indissociabilité entre la pensée et le langage serait-il un principe premier? Se peut-il que la culture, l'éducation aient indirectement fait en sorte que ce principe de l'indissociabilité du langage et de la pensée ne puisse être remis en question?

A hipótese do trabalho é a de que a enunciação nietzscheana é um acontecimento na história da reflexão sobre a linguagem. Compreende-se o acontecimento, tal como o define Eduardo Guimarães, ou seja, não enquanto um fato no tempo, mas como aquilo que produz diferença em sua própria ordem. Tomada como acontecimento, a enunciação nietzscheana instaura sua própria diferença, e nela consideramos duas temporalidades distintas: por um lado, a que produz a filiação de Edward Sapir a Nietzsche, e que recorta Wilhelm von Humboldt como memorável; por outro, a que produz a filiação de Michel Pêcheux e Eni Orlandi a Nietzsche. A possibilidade de pensar as temporalidades em sua equivocidade demonstra que há um caminho na reflexão sobre a linguagem a ser trilhado nas sendas de um materialismo trágico ¿ a consideração de que a determinação histórica não é fruto de um processo maquínico, motorizado, mas que há algo do acaso que comparece, e que, nesse acaso, intervalo entre o equívoco e a linguagem, há ainda um espaço para a arte, para a criação, para r-existir ao sedentarismo dos sentidos / Abstract: From the perspective of the History of the Linguistic Ideas, this thesis investigates the affiliations to Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche in Language Sciences. The hypothesis of this work is that Nietzsche's enunciation is an event in the history of the reflection on language. We understand the event, as defined by Eduardo Guimarães, i.e., not as a fact in time, but as something that produces a difference in its own order. Taken as an event, Nietzsche¿s enunciation establishes its own difference, and in it we consider two different time frames: on the one hand, the one that produces Edward Sapir¿s affiliation to Nietzsche, and that highlithts Wilhelm von Humboldt as memorable; on the other hand, the one that produces Pêcheux and Eni Orlandi¿s affiliation to Nietzsche. The possibility of thinking temporalities in its own equivocity demonstrates that there is a path in the reflection on language to be taken in the paths of a tragic materialism - the consideration that the historical determination is not a result of a machine and motorized process, but that there is something from chance that appears, and that, in that chance, an interval between the misunderstanding and the language, there is still a space for art, for creation, to resist to the sedentary senses / Doutorado / Linguistica / Doutora em Linguística
