Smulkiosios motorikos ugdymo įtaka 6 - 7 metų vaikų mokyklinei brandai / The influence of the small movement for 6 - 7-year-old children school maturity

Svarbus vaiko gyvenimo etapas, kai jis pradeda lankyti mokyklą, pareikalauja tikslių, koordinuotų plaštakos ir pirštų judesių, kurie būtini rašant, piešiant ir atliekant daugelį kitų mokymosi procese reikalingų veiksmų. Todėl smulkiosios motorikos lavinimas yra svarbi rengimo mokyklai dalis. Tyrimo tikslas: Ištirti 6 – 7 metų vaikų smulkiosios motorikos ugdymo įtaką jos kaitai ir vaiko mokyklinei brandai. Tyrimo metodai. Tiriamųjų kontingentą sudarė 100 šešerių – septynerių metų vaikų, lankančių darželį. Jie buvo suskirstyti į dvi grupes: tiriamąją (T) ir kontrolinę (K). Abiejose grupėse buvo po 25 mergaites ir 25 berniukus. T grupės vaikams buvo taikoma smulkiosios motorikos lavinimo programa pagal G. Musteikienės (2001) rekomendacijas. K grupė dirbo pagal Lietuvos Respublikos švietimo ministerijos patvirtintą ,,Vėrinėlio‘‘programą. Tyrimo pradžioje (pirmas tyrimas), po penkis mėnesius taikytos smulkiosios motorikos ugdymo programos, abiejų grupių vaikams tyrimai pakartoti (antras tyrimas). Vaikų rankų smulkiąją motoriką vertinome N. Ozereckio smulkiosios motorikos įvertinimo testu; judesių tikslumą ir dažnį, bei rankos raumenų susitraukimo greitį ir dažnį Eurofito testais; mokyklinę brandą tyrėme J. Jiraseko modifikuotu A. Kerno testu ir J. Jiraseko verbalinio mąstymo testu. Rezultatai. Po penkių mėnesių smulkiosios motorikos ugdymo programos eksperimentinėje grupėje pastebimai padaugėjo vaikų, kurių smulkiosios motorikos išsivystymo lygis pagerėjo (P=0,000). 46%... [toliau žr. visą tekstą] / An important stage in a child‘s life is when he/she begins to attend school, it requires accurate, concerted hand‘s and fingers‘ movements which are necessary in writing, drawing and doing lots of other actions needed in learning process. The Goal of the Research: To explore 6-7-year-old childrens‘ small movement education‘s influence for its vicissitude and child‘s school maturity. The Methods of the Research. One hundred 6-7-year-old children who attended kindergarten were involved in the research. They were divided into 2 groups: exploratory (E) and auditorial (A). There were twenty-five girls and boys in both groups. The exploratory group‘s children were educated according to the small movement education program prepared by us. The auditorial group worked according to “Verinelis“ program certified by Lithuania Republic Education Ministry. The beginning of the research (the 1st research) has been continuing for 5 month using the small movement program. Later on (the 2nd research) the research was renewed for both groups of the children. The small movement of the children hands we evaluated according to N. Ozereckis small movement evaluation test; for movement accuracy and rate, hand‘s muscle shrinkage speed and rate we used Eurofitas test; the school maturity we researched using A. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the topic of school-matureness diagnostics.Through theoretical background it presents, at which level a child should be developed enough in terms of his/her character and knowledge, before entering the compulsory school attendance. Terms such as school knowledge and school readiness are tightly connected to the topic and explained in this research. Recent and former legislative requirements concerning the beginning of one's compulsory school attendance, school enrollment, and postponement of compulsory school attendance are mentioned. Following the theoretical part, the practical part of this thesis diagnoses school maturity. The Preliminary test of school maturity by Jaroslav Jirasek is described in detail, other often used diagnostically materials and publicly available publications with content being well usable for the diagnoses are also shortly introduced. Base don those publications a test for the diagnosis of school maturity was developed, and it was together with Jirasek's Preliminary test of school maturity used for testing school maturity with a research sample. The aim of the diploma thesis Problems of the school immaturity through the eyes of the primary school teachers is to summarize in the theoretical part the existing knowledge of the literature on school maturity and school readiness and their controversy and then in the empirical part to find out what problems primary school teachers feel in this area and how they solves them. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part summarizes the key findings on the chosen topic, the practical part presents its own qualitative research. The research was conducted in the form of semi-structured interviews with primary school teachers. The interviews were then transcribed and analyzed through grounded theory. The analysis of the interviews revealed that the experience of teachers with the school immaturity of primary school pupils is very diverse. Most often addressing teachers met with the inability to separate the child from the parents and deficiencies in communication skills. Most educators most often mentioned an individual approach to supporting children not sufficiently mature for school. A dissertation "Integration of a boy with atypical autism into regular kindergarten" has the aim to present a particular process of integration in the regular kindergarten. It gives you a brief characteristic of preschool age, education in preschool age and a procedure of integration and related circumstances. A theoretical part brings you a view of child development in preschool period, specifics of preschool education and a process of integration in the Czech Republic. A research project has the aim to chart how is the integration perceived by three people who are involved in the integration. It is about the attitude of a mother, a headmistress and a class teacher who has been teaching the boy this year. The dissertation provides information about problems of school maturity. The theoretical part of the dissertation focuses on elucidation of problems of school maturity from the pedagogical-psychological point of view, including its definition as well as specification of terms. This part is also concentrated on possible causes of school immaturity and on the methods of school maturity identification either. The practical part of focuses on scanning of children with necessary postponement of school attendance in two stages {--} the January 2007 enrolment of children and the February 2008 enrolment of the same group of children after a year postponement of school attendance ( the experimental sample included 20 children at the pre {--} school age ). Characteristics of the children in the time of the first enrolment and after the postponement a year later were recognized by means of questionnaire methods, the Fundamental Test of School Maturity and examination. Those characteristics were compared and evaluated. Consequently, designated presumptions concerning of functionality of school attendance postponement were clarified. The conclusion summarizes detected facto about school attendance postponement that was proved to be effective in the case of the examined children.

The diploma thesis is focused on the topic of using of children's portfolios, but especially focuses on children's portfolios as a possible diagnostic tool when enrolling in primary schools. The main goal of the diploma thesis is to find out what are the possibilities of using children's portfolios when enrolling in the first class and how teachers view the possibility of using children's portfolios when enrolling in the first years of basic education. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the topics of the child's transition from kindergarten to basic education, the implementation of enrollment in primary school in the past and today, as well as school maturity and preparedness. Dynamic assessment constitutes an alternative diagnostic approach, focused on revelation of the tested person's learning potential, which is reached and observed via the emphasis on the process of the achievement. It aims at meaningful connection with the intervention that immediately makes use of diagnostic findings to support the development of an individual's abilities. This work summarizes essential information about the mentioned diagnostic trend - its characteristic, a definition compared to conventional ways of testing and historical development. It investigates some possibilities of its utilization, especially in the area of preschool diagnostic and education, and creates a basis for an instrument of the effective prevention of educational and behavioural difficulties during the first years of the school attendance.

In my thesis I focus on diagnosing school maturity of children and finding out possibilities of its development. In theoretical part I describe pre-school period as such, then I focus on pre- schools involved in the "Beginning together" program. Furthermore, I explain characteristics of school maturity and ways how to develop them, and finally I address Pedagogic - psychological diagnostics of school maturity. In practical part I researched into how pre- schools with the "Beginning together" program work with pre-school children and children with delayed school entry, I also researched if this program has any special procedures for development of school maturity.

1 ABSTRACT The aim of this thesis is the assessment of the level of individual aspects of school maturity in preschool children attending a kindergarten. The first part of the thesis describes the visual perception, motor activity and spatial orientation with a special emphasis on the structure. The second part of the thesis deals with the characteristics of preschool children and their development in individual areas outlined in the first part of the thesis. This is followed by diagnostics of individual aspects of school maturity with a detailed description of pedagogic diagnostics and its types and methods. The final part of the thesis focuses on the assessment of the level of the visual perception, graphomotor skills, and spatial orientation. This evaluation is based on three tests of school maturity. The comparison of the obtained data represents a core of the thesis. The proposition of three hypotheses is followed by a comparison of the results of two tests evaluating individual aspect of school maturity. The quantitative type of research has been used for the purpose of this analysis.

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of school maturity and readiness of pupils in the preparatory class. In the theoretical part the basic terminology from the field of pre-school education and problems of entering the elementary school is defined. There are also the principles of the preliminary test of school maturity described in detail. They are subsequently applied in practical research. The research part focuses on the comparison of the level of school maturity and readiness of pupils in the preparatory class and children in kindergarten. The survey was mainly conducted using qualitative methods, specifically through interviews, questionnaires and anamnesis. However, one quantitative method was also included - the standardized preliminary test of school maturity. This test focuses on fine motor skills and visuo-motor coordination ability. The research was carried out in preparatory classes and kindergartens in Mladá Boleslav and its surroundings. The goal of this diploma thesis was to find out whether education in a certain kind of preschool facility can affect children's readiness for school.
