Analýza služeb veřejných knihoven pro zrakově postižené / Public Library Services for Visually Impaired: An Analysis

Hrychová, Tereza January 2015 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of public library services for visually impaired users. Firstly, the thesis provides a theoretical introduction to the topic. It describes several projects related to the topic, activities of chosen non-profit organizations and fundamental legislation. Secondly, the thesis focuses on provision of library services for visually impaired in public libraries in the Czech Republic and abroad. The practical part of the thesis consists of an analysis of four Czech public libraries and of a qualitative research. Finally, the findings are summarized into several recommendations which could help libraries successfully offer services for visually impaired users.

A Leadership Approach to Successful Digital Transformation Using Enterprise Architecture

Weisman, Robert 20 December 2019 (has links)
Digital transformation has been a focus of public and private sectors to both improve and sustain business value by leveraging rapidly evolving technology. Digital technology is ubiquitous and inter-connected, changing the face of business, government and society through the creation of new industries, with automation replacing two thirds of existing jobs. The challenge is that most digital transformation efforts fail, mainly due to inadequate leadership and management as well as failure to accept that it is a multi-disciplinary problem. Another challenge is to distinguish between digital transformation (DT) and digitization where the former is based on a customer-centric value proposition and the latter focuses on cost-cutting and operational excellence. This difference also highlights the business/technology divide where the former is mainly DT and the latter is mainly digitization. The challenge addressed in this thesis is how to obtain management acceptance that digital transformation is multi-disciplinary and to make recommendations with respect to how best to achieve DT goals. The research methods followed is a blend of participatory action research (PAR), case study analysis and literature analysis. The principal research findings are that there is no single, management methodology that can increase the chances of DT success but that a modified form of enterprise architecture (EA) that collaboratively interacts with the other management frameworks can likely provide a solid foundation to effectively achieve DT. The thesis consists of an assessment of the current methodologies, four articles that each discuss an area to support effective DT, followed by a request for change (RFC) to up-date the TOGAF 9 EA framework standard. TOGAF was selected due to its pervasive usage globally (80% of Fortune 50 and 60% of Fortune 500). The RFC accommodated both the concepts raised in the articles and other innovations highlighted in the literature review and assessment. The thesis concludes that enterprise architecture is a key business technique that al-lows the sharing of core decision support information across the enterprise, enabling all management frameworks, especially those on the technology-management divide, to collaboratively realize digital transformation.

Stochastické úlohy optimálního rozmístění skladů se zohledněním přepravy / Stochastic location-routing problems

Tlapák, Martin January 2021 (has links)
This thesis deals with stochastic location routing problem. Multiple stochas- tic and deterministic models are formulated and it is discussed that it is difficult to solve these problems via exact integer programming methods. It is necessary to develop heuristic methods to find a solution of these problems. Multiple ver- sions of these problems are formulated and their properties and possibilities how to solve them are discussed. Therefore, the brand new Blockchain metaheuristic is developed and later used for solving stochastic location routing problem ap- plied on a waste collection problem. As a part of Blockchain metaheuristic we develop the new application of Greedy algorihtm that is used for finding initial solution. The quality of the heuristic algorithm developed by us is presented in a numerical study. 1

Stávání se tíhou: Filozofie diference a metalová hudba / Becoming Heaviness: Philosophy of Difference and Metal Music

Volák, Vojtěch January 2021 (has links)
Metal music is a term that currently serves as a designation for a plethora of different subgenres. The main goal of this work is to find a process that is shared between given subgenres of metal music. The search is based on the non-essentialist position of Gilles Deleuze's philosophy of difference. For this reason, the first focus of the work is extensive excursion into this philosophy, to which it devotes it's first chapter. In it, through analysis of Difference and Repetition, it creates a thought and conceptual basis for the processual perception of ideas as multiplicities, a position that makes it possible to examine the process of becoming. From this position, the second chapter focuses on metal music and it's main characteristic quality - heaviness, and examines the ways in which music can become heavy. Keywords: Gilles Deleuze, metal music, heaviness, difference, becoming, multiplicity, intensity

Občanské kompetence žáků se sluchovým postižením s důrazem na finanční gramotnost / .CIVIC COMPETENCES OF PUPILS WITH HEARING IMPAIRMENT WITH EMPHASIS ON FINANCIAL LITERACY

Maierova, Olga January 2021 (has links)
The presented work deals with the question of achieving financial literacy in pupils with hearing impairment, as one of the important areas of development of civic competencies for life in today's society. The main part of the work is the presentation of the results of a research survey aimed at determining the level of financial literacy in the target group of 15-18-year-old students with hearing impairments who study at secondary schools established for students with hearing impairments in the Czech Republic and their comparison with the results of non-disabled students who were included in PISA financial literacy testing. The research was conducted on three levels. Proven tools from international testing for the quantitative part of the survey and standardized psychological tests were selected, along with school registry data for the part that addresses the qualitative characteristics of pupils. Subsequent analysis of the obtained data served to verify the hypotheses what affects the achieving financial literacy in pupils with hearing impairment. Furthermore, data obtained through the ICT saturation questionnaire, which monitors safety techniques and pupils' relationships and attitudes towards ICT and compares them with participants in PISA testing, were processed and commented on. The aim of...

Dotazování nad časoprostorovými daty pohybujících se objektů / Querying Spatio-Temporal Data of Moving Objects

Dvořáček, Ondřej January 2009 (has links)
This master's thesis is devoted to the studies of possibilities, which can be used for representation of moving objects data and for querying such spatio-temporal data. It also shows results of the master's thesis created by Ing. Jaroslav Vališ, that should be used for the solution of this master's thesis. But based on the theoretical grounds defined at the beginning of this work was designed and implemented new database extension for saving and querying spatio-temporal data. Special usage of this extension is demonstrated in an example application. This application uses the database extension for the implementation of its own database functions that are domain specific. At the conclusion, there are presented ways of the farther development of this database extension and the results of this master's thesis are there set into the context of the following project, doctoral thesis "Moving objects database".

Test management in a PLM system context

González Corona, Alicia, Melle, Daniel January 2023 (has links)
The purpose of this final project work is to explore how tests are managed during the development of mechatronic products at a manufacturing company. This study aims to develop an information model and a process model that can be used in a PLM system. The research method used is a case study at Husqvarna Group. The different test departments in the Huskvarna site are studied. For that, two rounds of semistructured interviews and document studies are conducted to collect primary and secondary data. For each round, six interviews are conducted with experienced employees and then, a verification meeting is held. During the qualitative analysis, different keywords are highlighted and displayed in an activity and class diagram to represent the as-is test management process at the case company. Later, it is compared to the literature, and a proposal is made based on the results.
