Investiční životní pojištění na českém pojistném trhu / Unit Linked Insurance Plan on the Czech insurance market

Komárová, Daniela January 2015 (has links)
The subject of thesis is a summary description and consecutive evaluation of development of Unit Linked Insurance Plan in the Czech Republic. The work is mainly focused on the characteristics of the ULIP, its development and the current offer of this product. Part of the thesis is also a comparision of selected products of ULIP with alternative options, that are currently provided on the financial market in the Czech Republic there. In the final chapter there is evaluated the advantageousness of this product by stating the positives and negatives that offers this product.

Regional economic integration and trade liberalisation towards a free trade area in Southern Africa: A critical assessment

January 2000 (has links)
Magister Commercii - MCom / Regionalism has become a prominent feature of the current international landscape. During the last decade and a half there has been an increasing number of countries that opted to form regional blocs. 1 Developing countries fear of marginalisation and their need to be part of a larger economic entity has been an important motivation in signing regional trade agreements (RTA's).

Secure Co-design: Confidentiality Preservation in Online Engineering Collaborations

Siva Chaitanya Chaduvula (6417071) 12 October 2021 (has links)

Research in engineering design assumes that data flows smoothly among different designers within a product realization process. This assumption is not valid in many scenarios, including when designers partner with a future competitor or when designers search for potential collaborators is hampered by an inability to share sensitive data. This information asymmetry among designers has an adverse effect on the outcomes of the product realization process. Designers need a secure yet collaborative design process that enables them to overcome these information-related risks borne from collaborators participating in their product realization process. Existing cryptographic techniques aimed at overcoming these risks are computationally intensive, making them unsuitable for heavy engineering computations such as finite element analysis (FEA). FEA is a widely used computation technique in several engineering applications, including structural analysis, heat transfer, and fluid flow. In this work, we developed a new approach, secure finite element analysis (sFEA), using which designers can perform their analysis without revealing their confidential design data to anyone, including their design collaborators even though the computed answer depends on confidential inputs from all the collaborators. sFEA is a secure, scalable, computationally lightweight, and cloud-compatible. In addition to sFEA, we developed prototypes and demonstrated that the computational framework within sFEA is general enough to be applied to different stages of the product realization process.

Säkra framtidens förlossningsvård! : Nyutexaminerade barnmorskors erfarenheter av att arbeta på förlossningsavdelning / Securing future maternity care! : Newly graduated midwives' experiences of working in the maternity ward

Grinndal, Anna, Karlsson, Josefine January 2021 (has links)
Background: There is a global shortage of midwives which can pose a threat to the health of women giving birth and the global public health in general. In maternity care the midwife has the competence to independently manage normal childbirth. The shortage of midwives within Swedish maternity care is predicted to increase as a result of multiple factors including extensive retirements and difficulties in recruitment. More research regarding factors that promote an attractive and sustainable work environment is needed. The aim of this study was to investigate newly graduated midwives' experiences of working in a maternity ward. Method: Through a convenience sample, ten midwives were recruited, and semi-structured interviews were conducted digitally. The data was analyzed with a phenomenographic approach. Result: Organization and leadership is important for a secure start into professional life as well as a sense of participation and manageable workload. A permissive and supportive environment is essential for safety and development in the professional role. The work in a maternity ward claims to give and take energy. Conclusion: Newly graduated midwives need to be given the proper conditions in order to develop within their profession. Improved conditions can enable the midwives continuing to assist childbirth with a sense of security, happiness and pride. Important aspects in securing future maternity care.

A Framework for anonymous background data delivery and feedback

Timchenko, Maxim 28 October 2015 (has links)
The current state of the industry’s methods of collecting background data reflecting diagnostic and usage information are often opaque and require users to place a lot of trust in the entity receiving the data. For vendors, having a centralized database of potentially sensitive data is a privacy protection headache and a potential liability should a breach of that database occur. Unfortunately, high profile privacy failures are not uncommon, so many individuals and companies are understandably skeptical and choose not to contribute any information. It is a shame, since the data could be used for improving reliability, or getting stronger security, or for valuable academic research into real-world usage patterns. We propose, implement and evaluate a framework for non-realtime anonymous data collection, aggregation for analysis, and feedback. Departing from the usual “trusted core” approach, we aim to maintain reporters’ anonymity even if the centralized part of the system is compromised. We design a peer-to-peer mix network and its protocol that are tuned to the properties of background diagnostic traffic. Our system delivers data to a centralized repository while maintaining (i) source anonymity, (ii) privacy in transit, and (iii) the ability to provide analysis feedback back to the source. By removing the core’s ability to identify the source of data and to track users over time, we drastically reduce its attractiveness as a potential attack target and allow vendors to make concrete and verifiable privacy and anonymity claims.

Optimalizace komumikačních protokolů / Communication Protocol Optimization

Buno, Petr January 2015 (has links)
This thesis deals with smart home issue, analyzes existing solutions and is focused on the system that is developed in collaboration with FIT VUT in Brno. The emphasis is on the description of client application for control and monitoring of smart home system. Furthermore, the work discussed base theoretical knowledge from internet communication field, which is closely related to these issues. The core of the work is to design a communication protocol between the server and a mobile device. Finally, the work also includes a description of a network layer at the device using this protocol. The last part is devoted to testing and evaluation of the final solution.
