Moraes, Sandro Ricardo Coelho de, 1976- 26 August 2018 (has links)
Orientador: Mara Regina Lemes de Sordi / Tese (doutorado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Faculdade de Educação / Made available in DSpace on 2018-08-26T16:35:31Z (GMT). The present study aimed to investigate the construction and implementation of institutional evaluation in three public institutions Childhood Education of Campinas/ SP, in possible approach to the evaluation policy of the municipality. For this purpose, there was a data triangulation: I) via desk research (documents of the institutions, of the educational system and specific legislation); II) via informants (interviews and observation of local subjects); and III) via literature (books and scientific articles). The research, qualitative and characterized as a multiple case study, was attended by 30 individuals from various segments school (administrators, teachers, instructors, staff and parents), 10 of each school. The specific objectives were: a) to investigate how the institutional evaluation has been expressed in public Childhood Education of the municipality; b) to know limits, possibilities and consequences of this evaluation on the quality of the surveyed schools and on the construction of municipal policy; c) to identify the logic of evaluation from the perspective of local actors, in possible approach with guidelines of this policy; d) to understand how the pacts are established by the quality between the institutions and other instances of the system and between local subjects; e) to describe aspects of other instances of the system that, in the view of local actors, are also responsible for the quality of the school. The central question aimed to identify the possible contributions of practice for schools and for the education system. The thesis advocated that the experiments provide improvements to the institutions investigated and to the participation of its subjects, offering subsidies for the construction of an evaluative policy guided by the social quality of education. Studies have shown that the institutional evaluation can not be taken as the great redemptive institution Childhood Education, due to its limits. However, it constitutes a powerful instrument for the improvement of the institution, the role of collective actors and to achieve the desired quality. In the three institutions, the evaluation is a tool for planning, focusing on the future, showing confidence of local subjects, because the practice does not give them power, but gives them the opportunity to build relationships where the ownership of each begins to emerge / Doutorado / Ensino e Práticas Culturais / Doutor em Educação

Systém hodnocení zaměstnanců v domově se zvláštním režimem / The evaluation system for employees in the home with special regime

Hoštičková, Miroslava January 2014 (has links)
The dissertation deals with the issue of guest workers in the home with special regime. The work consists of a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with human resource management, as described in the literature. The essential question is to link a system of evaluation in the Organization, with the achievement of mission and objectives of the organization. The work focuses on the links between performance management and evaluation of staff. Further focuses on the evaluation criteria, the various forms and the methods of evaluation, and also on the assumptions and the skills of the evaluator, but also the assumptions of investigational agents, their ability to reflect on their work and the ability of self assessment. In the practical part of the thesis I introduce the organization, in which it is carried out of the investigation. In the framework of this investigation is carried out the analysis of the system of evaluation in the organization, whose aim was to find out what is the current status of the system of evaluation of employees in the organization and identify options for further development and to propose possible changes that will lead to the development of both the workers and the entire organization. On the basis of these outputs is designed the new methodology to...

The Relationship of Written Expression to Self Concept in Primary Children

Case, Anna Lou 10 August 1972 (has links)
This thesis, the outcome of nearly three years of preparation, including study, development of procedures, trial and observation, was begun in an attempt to answer the following questions: How may original writing among elementary pupils be motivated successfully? Can positive feelings about self be promoted to a measurable degree as a result of emphasizing individual oral and written expression? Although much thinking and evaluating occurred during the three years, the experimentation and results reported here are limited to the work accomplished and findings obtained during the third year. The twenty-six children involved in this study were third-year elementary pupils, whose ages ranged from seven to nine years. During the experimental period, listening, speaking, thinking, and writing were emphasized in the language arts program. A variety of topics provided subjects for written composition. To test the hypothesis that a measurable increase in self concept or self report ratings could be brought about by experiencing feelings of success and acceptance as a result of self-expression in writing, the Piers-Harris Children's Self Concept Scale was administered to two third grade classes, the experimental group and a control group, at the beginning and at the conclusion of an eight-week experimental period. Average reading scores from the Metropolitan Achievement Test, Form F, were available as an index to the ability of the two groups. During the experimental time, a writing topic was presented to the experimental group daily. Questions were used to promote discussion, elicit ideas, and encourage thinking and interest. When the majority of the group members had participated orally, and appeared to be interested and involved, paper was distributed and writing was begun. The writer could choose the form his writing was to take, and a variety of ideas could be derived from the topic presented. The result might be an account of a personal experience, original imaginative writing, rhymed or unrhymed verse, or a factual report. At the conclusion of the eight-week experimental period, self report scores of the two groups were compared. To demonstrate a significant change in score from the initial to the final report, a difference in individual raw scores of ten or more points was required. The raw scores of four subjects in the experimental group, and two subjects in the control group increased by ten or more points. However. the findings of this study indicated no significant differences to the self concepts of children in the experimental group as compared to the self concepts of children in the control group as a result of the writing treatment.

Hodnocení a sebehodnocení žáků na 1. stupni ZŠ / Evalution and self-evulation of students in primary schools.

Šebelová, Kristýna January 2022 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the evaluation and self-evaluation of pupils at primary school with a special focus on evaluation in distance learning. The theoretical part uses scientific literature to define the concept of school evaluation of students. It analyzes various types and forms of valuation as well as their impact on the pupil and his or her motivation for further schoolwork. Special attention is focused on the self-evaluation of younger school-age pupils and on the ability of these pupils to evaluate their school performance. It reflects the development of student self-evaluation since 1989. This thesis also indicates to the advantages and disadvantages associated with this method of evaluation and presents various strategies by which a teacher can motivate students to self-assess and lead the students to quality self- reflection. The empirical part has the character of mixed research. It monitors how pupils in selected schools are assessed during distance learning and whether they are guided to self- assessment. The thesis examines how teachers and students perceive this issue. It compares and evaluates the experiences of individual actors in the educational process. The research is divided into two parts. The first part examines students' attitudes and opinions on assessment and...

A model for the integration of quality management, planning and resource allocation at South African universities / Hans J. Brits

Brits, Hans Jacob January 2010 (has links)
Institutions of higher learning in South Africa should establish and sustain their own quality management systems. These systems should improve quality of the core business of higher education i.e. teaching and learning, research and community engagement. It should yield reliable information for internal planning as well as external monitoring purposes. The integration of quality management with planning and resource allocation within a framework of continuous improvement is viewed as fundamental elements for successful quality management of institutions of higher learning. A key assumption of this research is that quality management models should be underpinned by the systems theory in order to enhance the integration of quality management, planning and resource allocation on institutional strategic, tactical and operational levels. This study utilised the key elements and phases of the PDCA and ADRI models to develop a model for the integration of quality management, planning and resource allocation within a context of continuous improvement This model will be suitable for implementation by one of the institutions of higher learning in South Africa that fails, according to its latest HEQC audit to integrate quality management, planning and resource allocation. It offers also a conceptual framework for any institution of higher learning that fails to integrate quality management, planning and resource allocation. / Ph.D., Education, North-West University, Vaal Triangle Campus, 2010

Changing the assumptions of a training therapist : an auto-ethnographic study

Clarke, Sheree Lyn 10 1900 (has links)
This auto-ethnographic study (i.e. an autobiographical genre of writing and research, written in the first-person voice, where the workings of self are expressed both cognitively and emotionally) qualitatively explores the changing assumptions of a training therapist. It shows how various therapies were negotiated during the training period, and explores how meaning was constructed according to basic, underlying epistemological assumptions. Significant experiences and therapies are presented, showing how the therapist's most basic, linear assumptions, were directly challenged by eco-systemic training. The study produces an in-depth, thick description of both the emotional and the cognitive journey of a training therapist, and traces the therapist's movement away from the stability and certainty of a linear epistemological 'way of knowing' to the instability and uncertainty characteristic of an eco-systemic 'way of knowing'. Conclusions are idiosyncratic and are not intended for generalization. / Psychology / M.A. (Clinical Psychology)
