nÃo hà / Nas Ãltimas dÃcadas, as instituiÃÃes de ensino superior vivenciaram um acelerado processo de expansÃo e transformaÃÃo que repercutiu tanto em sua estrutura organizacional quanto em sua concepÃÃo e modelo e, consequentemente na ampliaÃÃo dos desafios e demandas com os quais precisam lidar. Uma dessas mudanÃas foi a implantaÃÃo do Sistema Nacional de AvaliaÃÃo da EducaÃÃo Superior (SINAES), hà pouco mais de uma dÃcada, que se propÃe a identificar o mÃrito e o valor das instituiÃÃes em suas vÃrias dimensÃes visando à melhoria da qualidade. Nesta conjuntura, em que a avaliaÃÃo institucional adquire cada vez mais significado, notadamente no que diz respeito ao uso dos resultados do processo avaliativo como subsÃdio para o aperfeiÃoamento institucional, considerou-se relevante e oportuna a realizaÃÃo de estudo acerca da relaÃÃo que se estabelece entre os resultados das avaliaÃÃes realizadas e as aÃÃes de gestÃo e planejamento no Ãmbito da instituiÃÃo. Assim, o trabalho intitulado RepercussÃo dos Resultados da AutoavaliaÃÃo Institucional na GestÃo da Universidade da IntegraÃÃo Internacional da Lusofonia Afro-Brasileira- Unilab, tem como objetivo analisar a repercussÃo dos resultados do processo de autoavaliaÃÃo realizado pela ComissÃo PrÃpria de AvaliaÃÃo (CPA), no Ãmbito da administraÃÃo de uma instituiÃÃo pÃblica federal de ensino superior, a Unilab. O estudo caracterizou-se como uma pesquisa aplicada, de natureza descritiva, com abordagem quantitativa e qualitativa, cujo percurso metodolÃgico organizou-se em dois procedimentos principais, a anÃlise documental e a pesquisa de campo, mediante os quais buscou-se compreender a dinÃmica do trabalho da CPA e o impacto dos resultados dessa atividade no planejamento e gestÃo da instituiÃÃo. Para tanto, utilizou-se como instrumento de coleta de dados dois questionÃrios constituÃdos de questÃes abertas e fechadas, dirigidos aos gestores e membros da CPA, cujos dados foram tabulados e analisados com base na anÃlise de conteÃdo e tratados com suporte dos softwares Excel e ATLAS.ti. Os resultados encontrados evidenciam que embora os gestores concebam os dados da autoavaliaÃÃo como um importante subsÃdio de gestÃo, a utilizaÃÃo dessas informaÃÃes ainda à pontual e nÃo se configura como uma aÃÃo institucionalizada na universidade. As conclusÃes do estudo apresentam elementos que podem dar apoio aos processos decisÃrios relacionados à polÃtica de avaliaÃÃo institucional, contribuindo assim, para a formulaÃÃo e a melhoria da prÃtica avaliativa e para o avanÃo dos estudos sobre a avaliaÃÃo institucional com vistas ao atendimento dos objetivos do SINAES.

Este estudo foi realizado com formandos de duas propostas curriculares do Curso de Enfermagem da Universidade Estadual Londrina. Foi desenvolvido do seguinte problema de pesquisa: o ensino de metodologia de pesquisa no Currículo Integrado do Curso de Enfermagem da UEL com o conteúdo diluído nos módulos, que permitem aproximações sucessivas com as etapas do trabalho científico, capacita os alunos de graduação para os desempenhos esperados em pesquisa? O problema em foco foi abordado com os seguintes objetivos:comparar os desempenhos, em pesquisa, dos alunos do Currículo de Transição com os desempenhos, em pesquisa, dos alunos do Currículo Integrado; compreender o significado de aprender a pesquisa para os formandos; propor um plano de ensino e aprendizagem sobre a pesquisa no desenvolvimento dos módulos do Currículo Integrado do Curso de Enfermagem. A pesquisa foi conduzida por meio de dois métodos. O método quantitativo possibilitou a comparação dos desempenhos em pesquisa dos dois grupos e o qualitativo possibilitou a busca do significado de aprender a pesquisar na graduação. Participaram da pesquisa 42 formandos em Enfermagem pelo Currículo de Transição e 48 graduandos em Enfermagem pelo Currículo Integrado. A coleta dos dados quantitativos foi realizada através de cinco instrumentos: questionário para avaliar conhecimentos em pesquisa; análise de artigo científico mediante o emprego das estratégias de grifo; anotações e roteiro com 18 questões; e relatório de atividade acadêmica. Os dados qualitativos foram obtidos através da auto-avaliação dos discentes. Os resultados obtidos nos testes foram organizados em sete tabelas de freqüência que mostram os desempenhos dos dois grupos de formandos. Os resultados relacionados à auto-avaliação foram classificados em cinco categorias (pontos positivos, pontos negativos, exigências da pesquisa, aproveitamento e sugestões) e analisados com apoio do referencial para análise de conteúdo de Bardin (1977). Os resultados permitiram alcançar os objetivos propostos e não rejeitam a hipótese de pesquisa. Com o trabalho esperamos: oferecer aos docentes de Enfermagem uma maneira de ensinar metodologia de pesquisa numa visão interdisciplinar, mostrando a importância da vivência prolongada com atividades de pesquisa para a aquisição da competência; incentivar a iniciação científica na graduação em Enfermagem; estimular nos docentes o desejo de utilizar a pesquisa como recurso de ensino e aprendizagem; e possibilitar uma reflexão dos docentes do Curso de Enfermagem da UEL sobre a proposta de desenvolvê-la como seiva. / This study is developed with graduation students of two curriculum grades of nursery of Universidade Estadual de Londrina(UEL). It was elaborated from the following problem of research: Does the teaching of methods of research in the integrated curriculum of nursery in UEL with the content diluted in grade that enables successive approach to the steps of scientific work enables the students of the last year to have the expected results in research? The problem in focus was approached with the following objectives: compared the performances in research, of the students of the transition curriculum with the performance in research of the integrated curriculum. Understend significant of learning the research for the graduated. Suggested a plane of learning and teaching about research throughout the nursery integrated curriculum. The research was developed by two methods. The quantitative method enables the comparison of the performance in research of the two groups and the qualitative one enabled the search of meaning of learning research in graduation. 42 students of last year of nursery through the curriculum of the transition curriculum and 48 students of the integrated curriculum took part of the research. The gathering of the quantitative dates was done by five instruments: questionnaire to evaluate knowledge in research, analysis of scientific article by using underline strategies, notes and schedule with 18 questions, and report of academic activity. The qualitative dates were obtained through self-evaluation of students. The results obtained in the tests were organized in seven tables of frequency that show the performance of the two groups. The results of the self-evaluation were organized in fives categories (positive points, negative points, the demanding of research, progress and suggestions) and analyzed through Bardin paradigm (1977). The results allowed to reach the objectives intended and not rejected the reseach hypothesis. With this work we hope: offer the teachers a way to teach methodology of research interdisciplinary vision, showing the importance of having long experience of research to acquire competency; stimulate the scientific initiation in the nursery graduation, arise the wish of using research as a teaching and learning way in the professors; and allow reflection of the teachers in nursery school about the proposal to develop it as vigor. This feedback would be a proposal for internal evaluation, i.e., the self evaluation of courses. Out of the difficulty of a self evaluation process for the undergraduate courses, emerges a problem-question to be researched: in what way does the net feedback tool promote a management quality of the performance of the Administration course? The study of multiple case is chosen, having a descriptive, and exploratory character as its method of study due to three factors: 1) assuming the existence of little academic knowledge about the proposed problem, 2) the methodology allows the deep study of phenomena in context, 3) feedback in Brazilian companies is ample but it has an innovative character at the universities. Theoretically, the project supports itself from the contributions of: Taylor (1856 1915), with scientific administration; MacGregor (1906 1964), leadership styles; Habermas (1987), the communicative action theory; Enguita (1989), today s contradictions in the capitalist system; Reis (2003), net feedback; Dias Sobrinho e Ristoff (2000), Trigueiro (2004), institutional evaluation. The sample is taken from the observation of a University Center (MG) and a Mexican Multinational branch in the telecommunication field, located in Goiânia GO, which uses the net feedback to bring these realities close together. The study was done through in locus research, through a bibliographical review, documental analysis, interviews and questionnaire application. / Essa dissertação sobre a Avaliação do Desempenho objetiva contribuir para a discussão da natureza e aplicabilidade do instrumento de feedback em redes,nos cursos de graduação de Administração, dentro de uma proposta de avaliação interna, isto é, de auto-avaliação de cursos. Da dificuldade de realização do processo de auto-avaliação dos cursos superiores, emerge a questão-problema a ser pesquisada: em que sentido o instrumento de feedback em rede promove a qualidade da gestão de desempenho do Curso de Administração? Decide pelo estudo de caso múltiplo, de caráter descritivo e exploratório, como seu método de estudo em decorrência de três fatores: 1) a constatação de que existe pouco conhecimento acadêmico acerca do problema proposto; 2) a percepção de que a referida metodologia permite o estudo de fenômenos em profundidade no contexto; 3) a ampla difusão do feedback nas empresas brasileiras e, por outro lado, tem caráter inovador nas Instituições de Ensino Superior. O estudo foi conduzido por meio da pesquisa de campo (realização de entrevistas e aplicação de questionários), da revisão bibliográfica e da análise documental, analisados à luz do referencial teórico do SINAES. Os resultados revelaram uma convergência nas pesquisadas, favoráveis à validade do método para avaliação interna.

For that, the quantitative-qualitative methodology was used with the subjects that compose the SEC, participant observation, questionnaire and a semi-structured interview. The analysis of the research results was carried out from four main categories: emancipation, regulation, public education and participation. For the elaboration of this dissertation, it was necessary to structure the work in five chapters. The first chapter "Presentation" makes a synthesis of the theme institutional self-evaluation, which will be worked by the researcher. The second chapter, entitled "Institutional Evaluation - Concept and History," addresses some important points of evaluation, since its emergence more than 2000 years ago, when it was already used by China and Greece for screening examinations for public services and to check the suitability of those who applied for public office. Beginning in the 1960s, evaluation began to play a major role in the political agenda of governments, focusing on the structuring and management of the public sector, and particularly on education. In this chapter, the trajectory of the institutional evaluation in Brazil is also recorded, as well as the legislation that supports this process. In the third chapter, the theme "Education and Neoliberalism" is addressed, bringing to the debate the guidelines of the international organizations, referring to the non-financing of public universities, by the governments of low-income countries, against the recommendation to only finance basic and basic education, as their priorities. Also addressed are the emancipation and regulation themes, which permeate the evaluation processes. In the ford chapter "Institutional Self-Assessment: A Study from the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG)". In chapter, some points are presented as: the research paths, where we talk about the methodology that was adopted to carry out this work; the profile of the research subjects, where the socio-occupational characteristics of the interviewees were identified; institutional self-evaluation: an analysis based on the social representations of the interviewees, where the interviews are analyzed from the categories mentioned above. And, finally, the fifth chapter "Final Considerations" bring the summary result of the research, since these results have already been detailed in the previous chapter. The contributions of the researcher are still inserted in the participant observation, because he is a natural member of the investigated group. / Esta dissertação consiste em um estudo exploratório que busca compreender o processo de autoavaliação institucional na Universidade Federal do Rio Grande, a partir das representações sociais dos sujeitos que compõem a Comissão Própria de Avaliação (CPA).Para tanto, utilizou-se a metodologia quanti - qualitativa realizada com os sujeitos que compõem a CPA, a observação participante, questionário e entrevista semiestruturada. A análise dos resultados da pesquisa foi realizada a partir de quatro categorias principais: emancipação, regulação, educação pública e participação. Para elaboração desta dissertação, foi necessário estruturar o trabalho em cinco capítulos. O primeiro capítulo “Apresentação”, faz uma síntese do tema autoavaliação institucional, que será trabalhado pelo pesquisador. O segundo capítulo, intitulado “Avaliação Institucional – conceito e história,” trata de alguns pontos importantes da avaliação, desde o seu surgimento há mais de 2000 anos, quando já era utilizada pela China e pela Grécia para exames de seleção para os serviços públicos e para verificar a aptidão daqueles que se candidatavam a funções públicas. A partir da década de 1960, a avaliação começa ter grande importância na agenda política dos governos, dedicando-se à estruturação e à gestão do setor público, e, particularmente, à educação. Neste capítulo, também se registra a trajetória da avaliação institucional no Brasil, bem como se fala da legislação que ampara este processo. No terceiro capítulo, aborda-se o tema “Educação e Neoliberalismo”, trazendo para o debate, as orientações dos organismos internacionais, referentes ao não financiamento das universidades públicas, por parte dos governos dos países de baixa renda, frente à recomendação de só financiar a educação fundamental e básica, como suas prioridades. Também são abordados os temas emancipação e regulação, que permeiam os processos avaliativos. No quarto capítulo “Autoavaliação Institucional: Um estudo a partir da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande (FURG)”. Neste capítulo, são apresentados alguns pontos como: os caminhos da pesquisa, onde se fala da metodologia que foi adotada para a realização deste trabalho; o perfil dos sujeitos da pesquisa, onde foram identificadas características sócio - ocupacionais dos entrevistados; autoavaliação institucional: uma análise a partir das representações sociais dos entrevistados, onde se realiza a análise das entrevistas a partir das categorias citadas acima. E, for fim, o quinto capítulo “Considerações Finais” traz o resultado sumarizado da pesquisa, visto que esses resultados já foram detalhados no capítulo anterior. Ainda são inseridas as contribuições do pesquisador, no tocante à observação participante, em virtude de o mesmo ser um membro natural do grupo investigado.

Biais d'auto-évaluation de compétence en français et en mathématiques chez les élèves de primaire : évolution et implications pour l'adaptation et la réussite scolaire des élèves? / Language art and mathematics self-evaluation biases : evolution and impact on school performance and adaptation

La vision illusoire de soi positive (surestimation de soi) semble inhérente à la cognition humaine et fluctue dans son intensité en fonction de l’âge et du degré d’abstraction du concept évalué. Dans cette thèse, nous nous intéressons aux illusions positives, mais aussi négatives, des perceptions que les enfants âgés de 8 à 11 ans ont vis-à-vis de leur compétence scolaire. Ces illusions sont mesurées à partir de l’écart entre les performances scolaires effectives des élèves d’une part et la perception qu’ils ont de leur compétence scolaire d’autre part. Le biais d’auto-évaluation de compétence scolaire, locution utilisée pour faire référence à cet écart positif ou négatif, a été étudié jusqu’alors en considérant les habiletés générales des élèves à l’école (voir Bouffard, Pansu & Boissicat, 2013). Dans cette thèse, le biais est abordé au niveau de matières spécifiques : le français et les mathématiques. L’objectif général est d’appréhender les liens entre les auto-évaluations biaisées de compétence, l’adaptation et la réussite scolaire des élèves dans ces deux disciplines. A un niveau individuel, un suivi longitudinal d’élèves de primaire (N = 677) sur trois années a permis dans une première étude de définir quatre trajectoires développementales du biais d’auto-évaluation : trois trajectoires assez stables, une positive, une modérée, une négative, ainsi qu’une quatrième évoluant d’un biais très négatif à un biais relativement modéré. Après avoir examiné les liens entre ces trajectoires et un ensemble de mesures liées à l’adaptation scolaire de l’élève, nous avons appréhendé dans une seconde étude l’autorégulation et la performance scolaire des élèves en fonction de leur auto-évaluation biaisée. La mise en lumière des liens entre le biais d’auto-évaluation, l’adaptation et le fonctionnement des élèves a permis de rendre compte du caractère plus ou moins délétère du biais selon qu’il soit positif ou négatif. A un niveau interindividuel, une troisième étude a porté sur le lien entre le biais d’auto-évaluation de compétence des élèves et le jugement de leur enseignant. Enfin, une dernière étude a examiné la capacité des enseignants à repérer les auto-évaluations biaisées chez leurs élèves. Si les enseignants jugent mieux les élèves surestimant leur compétence, les résultats de la dernière étude laissent à penser que ce processus est inconscient. / The illusive positive view of the self (overestimation of the self) seems inherent to human cognition. This illusion fluctuates in its intensity according to the age and degree of abstraction of the concept evaluated. In this thesis, we are interested in the positive or negative illusions of self-perceptions among elementary school student aged from 8 to 11. We put the focus in this thesis on the difference between a student's academic skills, measured by standardized tests, and the student’s self-evaluation of his competence. The self-evaluation bias of school competency refer to this gap studied so far by considering the general abilities of the students (see Bouffard, Pansu & Boissicat, 2013). In this thesis, the bias is approached in specific domains: in French and in mathematics. The overall goal is to understand the links between biased self-assessments of competency, student adjustments and academic achievements in these two disciplines. At an individual level, a three-year longitudinal follow-up study of third elementary grade to fifth grade students (N = 677) allowed to define four developmental trajectories of the self-evaluation bias: three fairly stable trajectories, one positive, one neutral, one negative, and the last trajectory evolving from a very negative bias to a positive one. We examined then the links between these trajectories and scholastic adjustment measures. Considering these results, in a second study we examined the self-regulation and academic performance of students according to their biased self-evaluation. The highlight of links between self-evaluation bias and students’ adjustment were relevant to account for detrimental or beneficial nature of the bias, according to its valence. At an inter-individual level, we were interested in a third study on the link between student self-assessment bias and the judgment of their teacher. At last, in a final study, we assessed the ability of teachers to identify self-biased evaluation in their students. In the case of teachers appraising students who overestimate their competence, the results of the last study conducted on this students two years later suggest that this process is unconscious.

Employability perceptions : Nature, determinants, and implications for health and well-being

<p>The general aim of the present thesis is to increase our understanding of perceived employability. Employability perceptions refer to individuals’ beliefs about their possibilities of finding new, equal, or better employment. How people perceive their possibilities of getting employment is important in a labour market characterised by flexibility and uncertainty, and the present thesis sets out to investigate the nature, determinants, and implications of employability perceptions, using two population-based samples. In Study I, the aim was to study if employability and self-efficacy are two distinct but related constructs and, along with this, to investigate the nature of their association. The results from this study indicated that employability was distinct from self-efficacy and, furthermore, that employability predicted subsequent self-efficacy. In Study II, the aim was to identify predictors of perceived employability. The combination of situational and individual factors was identified as important for employability perceptions. National economic prosperity, living/working in metropolitan areas, poor physical and good psychological work environments, formal education, and competency development were found to be positively associated with perceived employability. The aim of Study III was to investigate if employability could predict subsequent health and well-being. The results from this study implied that individuals who reported higher levels of employability also reported better global health and mental well-being, but not physical complaints, one year later, after controlling for work environment variables and previous health status. In conclusion, the present thesis has implications for theory as well as practice when it concludes that employability is not primarily a self-evaluation, that it is dependent on individual as well as situational factors, and that it has implications for health and well-being.</p>

La present investigació mostra el disseny i aplicació d’una metodologia de coavaluació de competències basada en la recol•lecció de informació d’estudiants i tutors relacionades ambla percepció del nivell de competències que es desenvolupen en el Projecte Final de Carrera en la titulació del Grau en Administració i Direcció d’Empreses a I’QS School of Management de la Universitat Ramon Llull. La investigació es va dur a terme durant tres anys, es va aplicar una enquesta a l’inici del curs acadèmic i una altra al finalitzar, d’aquesta manera es determina el nivell de millora en les competències, a través d’una autoavaluació per part dels estudiants i una coavaluació per part dels tutors. Els resultats que s’han obtingut al llarg d’aquests anys permeten afirmar que ambdues avaluacions tenen un component de similitud, per tant, existeix certa objectivitat a l’hora de valorar la percepció del nivell de competències. Al mateix temps, cal destacar que es va generar una eina pràctica que permet conèixer de manera individualitzada la coavaluació de competències, això pot ser útil de cara al seu futur professional, ja que aporta informació addicional al de les qualificacions. Com a resultat singular que s’ha concebut a través de la investigació, es troba la comparació entre la titulació del Grau en Administració i Direcció d’Empreses (GADE) i la Llicenciatura en Administració i Direcció d’Empreses (LADE), es percep que els resultats son similars al finalitzar el curs acadèmic, però a l’inici existeix certa variació en favor dels estudiants de Llicenciatura. / La presente investigación muestra el diseño y aplicación de una metodología de coevaluación de competencias basada en la recolección de información de estudiantes y tutores relacionadas con la percepción del nivel de competencias que se desarrollan en el Proyecto Final de Carrera en la titulación del Grado en Administración y Dirección de Empresas en IQS School of Management de la Universitat Ramon Llull. La investigación se llevó a cabo durante tres años, se aplicó una encuesta al inicio del curso académico y otra al finalizar, de esta manera se determina el nivel de mejora en las competencias, a través de una autoevaluación por parte de los estudiantes y una coevaluación por parte de los tutores. Los resultados que se han obtenido a lo largo estos años permiten afirmar que ambas evaluaciones tienen un componente de similitud, por lo tanto, existe cierta objetividad a la hora de valorar la percepción del nivel de competencias. A su vez, cabe destacar que se generó una herramienta práctica que permite conocer de manera individualizada la coevaluación de competencias, esto puede ser útil de cara a su futuro profesional, ya que aporta información adicional al de las calificaciones. Como resultado singular que se ha concebido a través de la investigación, se encuentra la comparación entre la titulación del Grado en Administración y Dirección de Empresas (GADE) y la Licenciatura en Administración y Dirección de Empresas (LADE), se aprecia que los resultados son similares al finalizar el curso académico, pero al inicio existe cierta variación en favor de los estudiantes de Licenciatura. / This research shows design and implementation of the competences co-evaluation methodology based on the information collected from students and tutors regarding perceived level of skills developed in the Final Degree Project of Business Administration and Management Degree in the IQS School of Management of Ramon Llull University. The research has been carried out for three years. At the beginning and in the end of academic course a survey has been applied in order to determine the level of skills improvement through students’ self-evaluation on the one hand, and tutors co-evaluation on another hand. The results obtained during these years allow concluding that both evaluations have similar components; therefore there is certain objectivity in evaluating of perceived level of skills. At the same time, it is noteworthy that this newly generated practical technique allows knowing the competences co-evaluation in an individualized manner. It can be useful for professional future of the students as it provides additional information to the marks. The singular result of this research shows the comparison between the Business Administration and Management Grade (BAMG) and Business Administration and Management Degree (BAMD), where the results are similar in the end of academic year, but at the beginning there is certain variation in favor of Degree students.

A Study of the Principals' and Teachers' Perceptions of the Effects of Collegial Approach to Implementing School Self-evaluation in Selected Hong Kong Schools

ABSTRACT Starting in September 1997, the Hong Kong Education Commission has adopted School Self-Evaluation as part of the framework of Quality Assurance Mechanism for promoting quality education culture in schools. Under a project initiated by the Chinese University of Hong Kong, some primary and secondary schools started to implement school self-evaluation in their school. The main purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of this self-evaluation framework based on principals’ and teachers’ perception of these participating schools. The relationships among school self-evaluation, school cultural changes, teacher co-operative learning culture and principal leadership are also explored. Furthermore, this study examines whether other factors, such as school type, teacher gender, teacher ranking position, teachers’ year-of-teaching-career and Chinese cultural values, will affect the implementation of self-evaluation in schools. A mixed approach of methodology was adopted for this research work. The findings indicated that school self-evaluation can initiate teacher co-operative learning culture, which in turn effects cultural changes in these schools. Also, the above named components play specific roles in the school self-evaluation implementation – school cultural change process: teacher co-operative learning culture acts as mediator, school self-evaluation as moderator and principal leadership as change facilitator.
