Política pública de incentivo à inovação: uma proposta de criação da vitrine tecnológica na Universidade Federal de Alagoas (UFAL) / Public policy of innovation incentive: a proposal to create the technology showcase at the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL)

Pires, Maria Cristina Ferreira Silva 31 October 2018 (has links)
The objective of this work was to elaborate a proposal for the creation of the Technology Showcase for the Nucleus of Technological Innovation (NIT) of the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL) in order to make possible the creation of a favorable environment for innovation and technology transfer activities. For this, the proposal was classified as applied research with qualitative focus and exploratory-descriptive objective. It is a case study carried out at the Federal University of Alagoas, having as Research Unit the Pro-Rector's Office for Research and Post-Graduation (PROPEP), through its Support Units. Data were collected through documentary research and interviews with NIT managers, in addition to direct observation. Subsequently, a plan was presented for the creation of the Technology Showcase, which guides the managers of the NIT of UFAL in the search for partnerships aimed at technology transfer. The proposal to create the Technology Showcase was conceived based on the identification of the innovative assets produced at UFAL in the period between 2008 and 2017; in the analysis of the institutional profile of UFAL NIT based on the New Legal Framework of Science, Technology and Innovation (Law nº 13.243/2016); and in the evaluation of NIT strategies for the dissemination of identified innovation assets, which made clear the need for greater dissemination of their innovative assets. The results pointed out the existence of 107 innovative assets registered in the National Institute of Intellectual Property (INPI), as well as the institutional profile of NIT characterized as "legal profile" and in few cases with "administrative profile". Thus, the study presented a proposal to create a portfolio of technologies developed by UFAL that seeks to present the innovation assets developed within the institutional framework of the university and promote partnerships between universities, companies and government agencies, aiming at the transfer of technologies.

Studentrekrytering : det bortglömda kapitlet inom eventkommunikation / Student recruitment : the forgotten chapter within student recruitment

Pettersson, Daniel, Rosenberg, Anni January 2009 (has links)

Student recruitment is a subject that seems to be forgotten in the theory of event communication. Yet the area has some specific reoccurring features. Our purpose was to examine these specific features and how to work with these in the best way, and also see how to get the most out of the event communication to the young at event and fairs. Special features we have looked at are the student ambassadors ands their impact, the meaning of a give-away and also if there are any essential factors to get in contact with the young at fairs and events, and if new technology had an important role to play in the area.

Our research has been inductive, and therefore, we have created our own theory and reflected it to the larger topic of event communication and its theories. Our research method has been triangular, both quantitative and qualitative; interviews with those who work with student recruitment, and surveys to young people in upper secondary school.

Our study showed the importance of student ambassadors and their specific task to be nice, friendly and outgoing. In comparison, the give-away isn't as important. It mainly has a remembering function and can also make interaction easier. We also found that different events are needed to fill different requirements, meanings and purposes. Information is also important; both to create awareness about the events and fairs, but also information at the event and fairs. This information should first and foremost be through a course catalogue, but also information about the school and the life as a student is important. Regarding to new technology it has a secondary meaning, and shouldn't be over-emphasized.

Whitaker, Annie Wilson 01 May 2022 (has links)
The purpose of this phenomenological study was to understand how Black, public school administrator employment decisions are impacted by the behaviors of supervisors in Virginia. Commonalities among the lived experiences of Black, public school administrators were examined in order to identify specific behaviors which impact employment decisions. Transcendental phenomenological qualitative research design was utilized. Participants were identified through gatekeeper introductions and then narrowed through snow-ball sampling. Data was collected through open-ended face-to-face interviews with 12 Black, public school administrators in Virginia via a secure online platform. The data was analyzed in order to identify emergent themes which represent the lived experiences of Black, public school administrators in Virginia and how the behaviors of their supervisors impacted their employment decisions. The findings could be utilized to develop supervisory practices that will increase the hiring and retention of Black educators in Virginia.
