O presente trabalho resulta de uma investigação sobre os requisitos para micro e pequenas empresas (MPES) para realizarem o fornecimento para empresa focal: PETROBRAS. Trata-se de um estudo realizado usando os requisitos necessários para credenciamento e fornecimento na empresa estatal PETROBRAS, cujos sujeitos de pesquisa foram empresas que fornecem ou desejam fornecer para a cadeia produtiva petróleo, gás e energia (CPPGE). Os dados foram coletados por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas e fontes documentais. A análise dos dados deu-se à luz do referencial teórico pertinente, com base analisada na indústria de petróleo nacional, pesquisa em relação ao trabalho nas micro e pequenas empresas, e no SEBRAE (Serviço de Apoio às Micro e Pequenas Empresas) através de sua interveção de ações para o mercado-alvo. Os resultados indicam os requisitos necessários para que empresas dentro do perfil analisado, micro e pequenas empresas da serra gaúcha, na melhora de seus processos, capacitação, desenvolvimento técnico e busca por certificações, para poderem habilitar seus negócios no portal de fornecimento Petronect. Assim, passar a fornecer em um mercado que apresenta nível superior de exigência e de remuneração para sua cadeia produtiva. / This work is an investigation of the requirements to small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) to act as suppliers of PETROBRAS, a focal company. This is a study that evaluates the requirements for accreditation and supply of PETROBRAS, a state-owned enterprise that operates in the Oil & Gas industry sector. The research subjects of this study were companies that provides or are willing to provide for this industry sector. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and documental sources. Data analysis was given in the light of relevant theoretical framework, from domestic Oil & Gas industry, researches over the relation of small and medium-sized enterprises on this market, and SEBRAE (Serviço de Apoio às Micro e Pequenas Empresas) through its intervention plans of action on the target market. The results presents the requirements for companies within the analyzed profile, small and medium-sized enterprises in Serra Gaúcha, the needs in terms of process improvements, training, technical development and search for certifications, in order to enable their business in Petronect delivery portal and, doing so, play a role in a market that has top-level requirement and incomes for its supply chain network.

Para tanto, foi elaborado um referencial teórico que procurou mostrar as transformações ocorridas no decorrer da história da gestão empresarial e a importância que a inovação e a qualidade assumiram no contexto das organizações contemporâneas. Abordou-se, também, os conceitos e bases teóricas sobre a gestão do design, que permitiram compreender a importância de os elementos da gestão estarem aliados à dimensão do design nas organizações. Outro ponto importante esteve relacionado às peculiaridades inerentes aos produtos de moda e ao contexto das Micro e Pequenas Empresas - MPEs, marcado pelo uso diversificado de estratégias empresariais, com implicações de diferentes perspectivas. De acordo com os procedimentos metodológicos adotados para o trabalho, realizou-se um estudo de caso múltiplo entre duas empresas de confecção do vestuário de moda feminina, sendo que numa das empresas tivesse a gestão do design implementada e na outra não a utilizasse e/ou desconhecesse tal ferramenta. Os dados foram analisados pelo método indutivo, por comparação entre os resultados obtidos no estudo de caso múltiplo, confrontando os aspectos teóricos com os práticos em relação aos elementos estudados. Concluiu-se que a utilização da gestão do design como elemento de articulação estratégica e operacional pelas micro e pequenas empresas do vestuário de moda substitui o empirismo e a improvisão até então dominante. / Abstract: The present study has as objective to present contributions of the design management as a strategical tool for the micron and small enterprise of fashion clothes. For in such a way, was elaborated a theoretical referencial that it looked to show the occurred transformations in history elapsing of the enterprise management and the importance that the innovation and the quality had assumed in the context of the organizations contemporaries. It was also approached the concepts and theoretical bases on the design management, that had allowed to understand the importance of the elements of the management to be allies to the design dimension in the organizations. Another important point was related to the inherent peculiarities to the fashion products and the context of the micron and small enterprise - MPEs, maked for the diversified use of enterprise stategies, with implications of different perspectives. In accordance with the adopted methodological procedures for the work, a study of multiple case was become fulfilled between two feminine fashion clothes confection enterprise, being that in one for the enterprises it had the design management implemented and in the other did not use it and/or was unaware of such tool. The data had been analyzed by inductive method, by comparison between the gotten results in a multiple case study, collating the theoretical aspects with the practical ones in relation to the studied elements. O objetivo principal da pesquisa foi propor medidas de aperfeiçoamento dos procedimentos de gestão estratégica da informação na pequena empresa, compatíveis com suas especificidades. Para avaliar as dificuldades e possibilidades das pequenas empresas no uso desses procedimentos, foi utilizado o artifício de compará-los aos procedimentos utilizados pela média e grande empresa. A gestão estratégica da informação vem se tornando cada vez mais presente no dia-a-dia das empresas. Porém, nas pequenas empresas isso é realizado de uma maneira peculiar devido às suas especificidades, que apresentam diferenças significativas em sua forma organizacional. Os métodos de pesquisa foram delineados para duas fases: na primeira fase foi quantitativa, tendo como objetivo principal atualizar o mapeamento das empresas hoteleiras da região central do estado de São Paulo, além de compreender as principais características dessas empresas e de seus dirigentes. Na segunda, optou-se pelo emprego do método comparativo de casos e pela pesquisa qualitativa; para a coleta de dados fez-se uso de entrevistas, além da observação livre. Entre os principais resultados, constatou-se que as empresas estudadas se apóiam em fontes de informações informais para tomada de decisão. Foi possível afirmar que no primeiro momento do processo estratégico as informações informais e pessoais são mais valorizadas, mas ao passo em que uma estratégia se estabelece todos os procedimentos da GEI facilitam a continuidade do que foi estabelecido. A GEI foi identificada como consciente e compartilhada nas grandes empresas, enquanto que nas pequenas é inconsciente e centralizada. / This study aimed at proposing measures to improve strategic information management (SIM) procedures at small enterprises, compatible to their specificities. In order to assess the difficulties and possibilities of small enterprises in using these procedures, they were compared to those used by medium and large enterprises. Strategic information management has become an important procedure in the everyday management of enterprises. At small enterprises, however, this is carried out differently due to their particularities, since they present distinctive organizational features. The research method was designed to have two phases: the first one had a quantitative nature, and its goal was to chart the hospitality enterprises in the central region of São Paulo State, Brazil, in addition to understanding their main characteristics and managers. The second phase employed a comparative case method of a qualitative nature: interviews and unstructured observations were used as data collection tools. In general, the results show that all of the enterprises rely on information to make decisions. This study also shows that while informal and personal information is more valued in the beginning of the strategic process, SIM procedures are then used to promote the continuity of the chosen strategic actions. In addition, while SIM is intentional and shared at large enterprises, it seems to be rather instinctive and centralized at small enterprises.

Utlandshandel för Svenska småföretag : -med eller utan euro

Syfte – Syftet med denna studie är att identifiera om valutan utgör ett hinder i utlandshandeln för svenska småföretag och undersöka om ett medlemskap i Ekonomiska och Monetära Unionen (EMU) skulle kunna minska det motstånd som företag upplever inför utlandshandeln. Argumenten att EMU skulle underlätta för företagens utlandshandel har använts i debatten för eller emot ett medlemskap i över tio år. Metod– Metoden i denna studie har byggt på en kvantitativ undersökning i form av en enkät till 21 olika svenska småföretag. Svaren analyserades i ett spridningsdiagram och en regressionsanalys. Denna metod används för att förutspå hur variablerna påverkar varandra och testa hur starkt sambandet mellan variablerna är. Slutsats – Studien fick inget signifikant resultat av undersökningen och kan endast redogöra för de tendenser som kom fram. Slutsatserna tyder på att ett medlemskap i EMU inte skulle underlätta utlandshandeln för svenska småföretag, då de till stor del handlar med länder utanför euro-området. Bidrag – Bidraget från denna studie är att svenska småföretags upplevda hinder till utlandshandel inte underlättas av den gemensamma valutan euron. Detta argument bör inte användas i debatten för ett medlemskap i EMU. Vidare studier behöver göras i ämnet för att säkerställa denna slutsats. Nyckelord – Småföretag, EMU, Utlandshandel Typ av uppsats – Kandidatuppsats / Purpose – The purpose of this essay is to examine if the currency is an obstacle when Swedish small enterprises do international business and if a membership in the European monetary union (EMU) could reduce the obstacles. In the Swedish debate about EMU membership these arguments have been used for over ten years. Methodology – The methodology used in this study is a quantitative method using a standardised questionnaire involving 21 small enterprises based in Sweden. The result was analysed in a scatter plot and with a regression equation. This methodology is used to predict the value of a dependent variable from one or more independent variables. Findings – The study could not get a significant result and can therefore only show trends of its findings. The findings provide some tendency that an EMU membership would not reduce the obstacles for Swedish small enterprises to do international business, since most of their trade goes to countries outside the monetary union. Contribution – The contribution of the findings is to suggest that the argument that Swedish small enterprises would find it easier to do international business, if Sweden was part of the EMU, not should be used. Application de la gouvernance élargie dans les très petites entreprises : analyse comparative des exploitations laitières France/Québec / Application of governance in very small enterprise : Comparative analysis of the French and Canadian dairy farms

Cette thèse vise à évaluer les impacts de la gouvernance et du dirigeant sur les stratégies financières et la performance des très petites entreprises (TPE). Une application empirique aux exploitations laitières françaises et québécoises montre des impacts différents selon le contexte économico-politique. L'utilisation des théories de la gouvernance pour analyser la performance des TPE permet d'étudier l'influence des différents acteurs sur la prise de décision des dirigeants. Pour valider le cadre théorique choisi, nous avons tout d'abord organisé des groupes de discussion constitués de dirigeants d'exploitations laitières. L'analyse de contenu thématique de ces discours a permis de définir de façon plus spécifique le système de gouvernance des TPE en identifiant les acteurs, les mécanismes de gouvernance, les raisons de l'utilisation de ces mécanismes et les relations existant entre le système de gouvernance et le dirigeant. Ensuite, des données quantitatives issues de bases de données comptables agricoles ont été analysées via un modèle d'équations structurelles afin de valider les hypothèses de l'influence de la gouvernance et du dirigeant sur les stratégies et la performance. Les résultats obtenus dans cette thèse permettent d'améliorer la compréhension du fonctionnement de la gouvernance dans les TPE laitières. / This thesis aims to evaluate the impacts of governance and of the manager on the financial strategies and performance of very small enterprises (VSE). An empirical application to French and Canadian dairy farms shows different impacts depending on the economic and politic context. Using governance theories to analyze the performance of VSE allows studying the influence of different actors in managers' decisions. To validate the theorical framework, we first carried out focus group with dairy farm managers. The analysis of the thematic content of these meetings allowed to define more specifically the governance system of VSE and to identify the main actors, the governance mechanisms, the reasons behind the use of these and the relationships between the governance system and the manager. Then, quantitative information from agricultural accounting database was analysed by a “structural equation model” to validate the hypothesis of the influence of governance and the manager on the financial strategies and performance. The results improve the knowledge of the governance functioning of the dairy VSE.

Manažerské kompetence v malých podnicích / Managerial Competencies in Small Enterprises

The dissertation thesis dealt with the managerial competencies in the small manufacturing enterprises in the Czech Republic. The research aimed to examine the current level of these competencies on the sample of top managers of those enterprises. The chosen topic is topic of current importance due the competency development for enhancing the managerial performance. The thesis elaboration was based on the detailed literature review of national and international publications in the respected scientific journals, and on the in-depth analyses conducted through the primary researches. The main objective of the dissertation thesis was to detect the competency level of top managers in the small manufacturing enterprises in the context of business management and to identify the key variables influencing the discovered competency level and on the basis of research findings provide recommendations for further competency development. The main objective was supported with four partial objectives and five research hypotheses. On the basis of results of executed pilot research on managerial competencies the model of managerial competencies was established, and further verified in the author’s primary research. Within the data analysis and data evaluation, the competency level was formed. The dependences of competencies on examined variables were tested empirically. Those variables were sex, length of current and total practice, age, ownership and education. The aggregated research results were compared with the literature review and based on this comparison, the recommendations for further managerial competency level improvement were provided. The conclusions and further research aims form the integral part of the dissertation thesis.
