Návrh a testování softwarového řešení pro evidenci, monitorování a koordinaci projektů Ministerstva vnitra ČR / Design and testing of software solution for evidence, monitoring and project coordination of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic

Neumannová, Klára January 2012 (has links)
Nowadays, the public and state administration authorities are more frequently than ever forced to change public service processes due to the constantly changing environment and growing pressure on accessibility and quality of the public services. The requisite changes are sometimes only minor but due to the rigidity of the state administration and fast social and technological development it's necessary to make deeper changes more often. Those changes are possible to make only by using project. Effective evidence, monitoring and coordination is becoming the necessity with growing number of projects. This thesis is focused on architecture design and software solution testing for evidence, monitoring and project coordination of the Ministry of the Interior. The first goal of this work is to analyze the software solution requirements following future user needs. Second goal is to design process, process-organizational, functional, data and software architecture based on those requirements. Third goal is to design the method and testing plan including testing scenario design for designed software solution. Last goal is execute this testing plan and present the results. The main benefit of this thesis is architecture design creation of software solution for evidence, monitoring and project coordination of the Ministry of the Interior. Beneficial is also the design of testing method and testing plan for the software solution which could be repeatedly used for future projects related with delivery of software solution. The project management scope of the Ministry of the Interior and analysis of requirements on software solution for evidence, monitoring and project coordination is defined in the introduction of this thesis. Next part of the thesis is dedicated to the design of process, process-organizational, functional, data and software architecture of the designed software solution. Last part of the thesis is dealing with design of the testing method and testing plan for the software solution, execution of the testing and presentation of its results.

Support matériel pour la communication inter-processus dans un système multi-coeur / Hardware support for inter-process communication in multiprocessor system

France pillois, Maxime 27 September 2018 (has links)
High parallelism of MPSoC applications increase the need of optimization for the synchronization mechanisms, essential to ensure consistent data exchanges between threads. Delays inserted by them impact the whole performances of the system. This thesis work aims to analyze and reduce delays of synchronization mechanisms for MPSoC architectures. The growing complexity of MPSoCs requires assessment of proposed optimizations against hardware and software specifics in real-life environment. Since usual tools to perform measurements do not fulfill required accuracy with sufficient evaluation speed, we have designed a custom non-intrusive tool-chain based on an emulation platform. The study of the textit{GNU} OpenMP library implementation of the synchronization barriers, carried out with our tool-chain, has revealed two weaknesses. Our proposed hardware and software optimizations achieve significant reduction of the delays introduced by the synchronization barrier. The designed tool-chain has also allowed us to confirm a fundamental hypothesis for the optimization of the lock mechanism : although during the run time a lock may be used by various cores belonging to different clusters, it is often reused by the last core which has released it. Based on this observation, we propose an innovative decentralized solution to manage dynamic re-homing of locks in memory close to the last access-granted core, thus reducing access latency and network traffic in case of reuse of the lock by the same cluster.

What about online store software solutions? : An evaluation study comparing the administrative side of two online store software solutions with criteria from web design, usability and online shopping.

Blomfeldt Olah, Paulina January 2022 (has links)
Online stores today need to be attractive to compete on the rapid growing market of online businesses. Standardized online store software solutions sold from IT companies to small businesses are also growing making it easier for anyone creating an online store. Less attention has been paid to how well these software solutions help the administrators to create a competitive online store regarding the administrator’s limited knowledge about usability and web design. This research intends to develop knowledge about how well two online store solutions perform from evaluation criteria within online shopping, usability and web design and how an online store solution for small businesses can benefit from a comparison with another online store solution sold to a larger range of businesses. The two products are evaluated and compared through Heuristic evaluations and A/B testing with 5 usability experience (UX) experts and analyzed with Trend analysis. The results show strengths in the solutions where they both were easy to learn, had easy access to help and good tools for creating loyal customers and weaknesses in inspiring, navigation and lack in mobile adaption. The findings suggest how the online store solution for small businesses can improve their statistics and design colors from the comparison of the larger product. A limitation in the study is that all evaluators come from the same team. For future work more cultural studies can be conducted for online stores in western countries, and user tests with administrators of online shops.

My media favorites on any device : A study about the development and evaluation of a partly cloud-based and partly on-premise solution based on Microsoft Platform

Danielsson, Jennifer, Danielsson, Oliver January 2021 (has links)
Background Using Microsoft Platforms as a base for creating a software solution with a web front-end, the motives and research behind the technology was explored. This study identified functionalities that are split across existing media-related applications where neither has all to develop and evaluate a novel solution with useful features for sorting and indexing media. Aim Produce a solution for the development of an application with available technology, provide research and motives for chosen implementation strategies, and an evaluation of the solution. Method Design and creation was used as a strategy for the purpose of developing and evaluating a software solution. A literature review was used as data collection method, serving as motive and research behind the development of a software solution. An evaluation on accessibility, functionality and performance was chosen to estimate the worth of the proposed solution, and to be compared with Kodi and Squeezebox. Results The proposed solution suffered in performance and accessibility. In terms of functionality, it has the edge by being cloud-hosted,having offline support and supporting multiple media types. Kodi excelled in supporting more media types and formats, with an accessibility score close to Zavorite. Squeezebox excelled in performance. Both Squeezebox and Kodi has the edge in being able to playback media, a feature Zavorite does not offer. Conclusions Zavorite is a prototype evaluated alongside product-ready applications. The areas where Zavorite is lacking compared to Kodi or Squeezebox, such as performance is made up for due to being a PWA. For accessibility, the evaluation showed what should be improved for subsequent prototypes. For functionality, despite the prototype only showcasing two media types, there is the possibility of adding more with an additional row in a database table. Zavorite can be considered a combination of Kodi and Squeezebox, with user experience improvements as a PWA, limited to sorting and indexing media.

Digitální knihovna / Digital Library

Krbeček, Daniel January 2008 (has links)
The thesis contains basic information about image documents digitalization. A brief list of common used standards in Czech republic is shown. The standards can be used in description of digitalized documents by institutions such as libraries, scientific departments and universities. The thesis specifically solves the dilemma of the preservation and the accessing of B.P.Molls large map collection stored in Moravian Library in Brno city. It analyses step by step the characteristics of the saved documents, style of their interlacing and data representation. In terms of deposition and manipulation it comes with description list of open-source digital libraries and it chooses the Fedora repository. It solves methods of object-model implementation while using this digital library. The functional parts are web presentation of the mentioned map collection and an effectiveness test showing large-scale maps using the flash Zoomify browser. Web presentation uses the repository services as often as possible, and thus allows searching and searching through the bibliographic records of the presented documents. The end of the thesis sums up the obtained results and presents the incoming development course of presentation and popularization of the map collection.
