Životnost polyetylénových pásků ze síťoviny pro svinovací lisy / Durability of Polyehtylene Ribbons from Netwrap

Huljak, Pavel January 2017 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the measurement of mechanical properties and accelerated aging of monoaxially stretched polyethylene strips coming from three types of polymeric mesh, which serves to pack hay on baling machines. The strength of the strips is evaluated from two points of view. The first one is static tensile strength measured before and after accelerated aging at 23 °C and 40 °C, the second one determines the strength as the weight that causes the strip failure on a simple machine at 23, 40, 60 and 80 ° C. The results show that the smallest static strength has the least stabilized strip, which, on the other hand, revealed the highest strength in a dynamic loading. The change of supermolecular structure was evaluated by calorimetric measurements. The data shown only very little change of inner structure due to the average response of the whole crystalline phase comprising relatively wide distribution of crystallites. It is more than probable that supermolecular structure had been changed but the method is not sensitive to see the change of orientation of lamellae and macromolecular chains in them.

Studium vlivu skladby kameniva na objemové změny a na mechanické vlastnosti vysokohodnotných betonů / Study of the influence of aggregate composition on volume changes and mechanical properties of High Performance Concrete

Vobinušková, Kristýna January 2019 (has links)
The master´s thesis deals with the volume changes of concrete during its concrete glow. These volume changes are generally more susceptible to high-strength concretes – HSC, which contain a bigger dose of binder. The theoretical section describes the possible reduction volume change especially in HSC, which are focused on the composition of concrete, especially on the type and particle size distribution of aggregate. Then attention is also paid to the different types of cements and their possible substitution. The part of the theoretical work describes the types of volume changes that may occur. In the experimental part are suggested the HSC by to secure informations. Different kinds of aggregates are used and a continuous or discontinuous grain curve and a different maximum grain size. Part of the sample was made only from CEM I 42,5 R and the second part of the sample from CEM I 42,5 R with the addition of very finely ground limestone. In terms of the part of the work were monitored volume changes of concrete with different composition and also their mechanical properties after 7, 28 and 90 days. Specifically, compressive strength, tensile strength, strength of the surface layers of concrete, water absorption and water-permeability test concrete. In conclusion, are listed all the results of tests.

Funktion vid kronisk fotledsinstabilitet : En tvärsnittsstudie

Sjöstedt, Erik January 2021 (has links)
Background: Lateral ankle sprain is one of the most common traumatic musculoskeletal injuries, is present in almost all fields of sport, and up to 40 percent of everyone that is injured developes something called chronic ankle instability. A typical description is a severe strain followed by more straines and a sense of instability. Strenght, balance and performance deficits are often seen consequences of the disorder. Objective: The aim of this study was to survey the function concerning strenght, balance and functional ability within this group. Methods: This study was conducted as a cross-sectional study with participants recruited through various sport clubs and at a clinical practice. A total of 17 persons with chronic ankle instability were included (10 women and seven men). The test battery consisted of five tests for assessment of balance, strength and functional performance; Single leg balance, isometric strength in inversion and eversion, single leg hop and side hop test Result: The affected side was signifikantly weaker compared to the non-affected side in both eversion (75N vs. 92N, p=0,001) and inversion (57N vs 85N, p=0,002). The same pattern was seen, with a lesser performance on the affected side in, single leg hop (101cm vs. 107cm p=0,05) and number of sidehops (30 vs. 39, p <0,001). The balance was also lesser in the affected versus non-affected side (17 vs. 11, p <0,001). There were a signifikant correlation between strenght in eversion and inversion (r=0,731, p=0,001). Inversion strenght had also signifikant correlationes with the performance in the single leg hop (r=0,517, p=0,033), and the side hop tests (r=0,644, p=0,005). Single leg hop also correlated with the side hop performance (r=0,650, p=0,005). The performance in the side hop test had high correlation, (p <0.010), with every other parameter except balance which did not correlate with any of the other tests (p ≥0,600).  Conklusion: In this study, strength, balance and functional performance were all impaired at the injured side, compared to the non-injured side. The fact that there was a 50% difference between sides in balance performance suggests that evaluation of balance is of importance in this group of patients and rehabilitation should aim to improve balance.

Experimental and numerical study of confined masonry walls under in-plane loads : case : guerrero State (Mexico)

Sánchez Tizapa, Sulpicio 10 December 2009 (has links) (PDF)
This research work proposes methods to rises the resistance and to evaluate the behavior of confined masonry walls built from clay solid bricks. These elements are widely used in Guerrero State (México) to build masonry structures, which should resist high lateral loads because of the serious seismic hazard. Therefore, a large experimental program to evaluate the mechanical properties of bricks and masonry currently required in the design process and masonry analysis was developed. To rises the masonry resistance and to counteract the influence of the compressive strength of the pieces on the masonry behavior, a high compressive strength mortar and a metallic reinforcement inside the joints were used. With respect to referenced values of the mechanical properties, some were similar and others were twice bigger. In this country zone, the first three tests under lateral load on full-scale confined masonry walls built from clay solid bricks were carried out in order to evaluate its behavior. A reinforcement composed by metallic hexagonal mesh-mortar coat was placed on the faces of two walls to rise or to restore the resistance. The walls showed good behavior and the reinforcement had adequate structural efficiency. Numerical models of panels and walls built by using the experimental data evaluated the envelope resistance, the failure mode and showed the influence of the mechanical properties of the pieces and joints on the global behavior. Two models had metallic reinforcement inside the joints. In addition, a constitutive law of the masonry defined from experimental results allowed to elaborate a simple model, which results were concordant with respect to the experimental results and similar to those calculated by complex models. Finally, two simplified models to evaluate the resistance of confined masonry walls by considering the failure plane on the wall diagonal were developed. One supposes the masonry failure by shear effect and the other supposes the masonry failure by induced tension. The ratio theoretical resistance vs. experimental resistance was adequate for walls built from different materials and tested under different loads, which had ratio Height/Length ranging from 0.74 to 1.26
