Zvládání stresu u patologických hráčů v ambulantní léčbě / Coping with stress among pathological gamblers in ambulant treatmentTauchmanová, Karolína January 2017 (has links)
AIMS: The aim of this thesis was to find out how pathological gamblers deal with stress situations and which particular coping strategies they use. The assumption based on previous research is that pathological gamblers tend to overuse negative coping strategies instead of positive strategies. METHODS: The research took place within ambulance treatment in the Clinic of Addictology of the General University Hospital in Prague and was realized with group of seven participants. The results were obtained using quantitative and qualitative research methods and the main tools were SOGS, SOC, SVF78 and anamnestic questionnaire which helped to identify the demographic data. RESULTS: The obtained outcomes correspond to previous studies and suggest that participants tend to overuse negative coping strategies such as self-blaming, resignation and perseverance in stressful situations. At the same time, their confidence towards the world is reduced, which means that they perceive the world as messy and incomprehensible. CONCLUSION: The research could be used to engage in professional practice in terms of training appropriate coping strategies that pathological gamblers could apply in stressful situations. In order to verify the outcomes, it would be necessary to carry out a complementary study to include...

Vliv vodního stresu na výnosové a jakostní parametry zeleninyVojtíšková, Jiřina January 2016 (has links)
The two-year experiment (2010, 2011) dealt with the evaluation of yield and quality parameters of vegetables Capsicum annuum L., variety 'SLÁVY F1' and Allium porrum L., 'GIGANTE SUIZO' treated with mycorrhizal product SYMBIVIT in two irrigation modes. The research was conducted as a field experiment. The site was located on the properties of Faculty of Horticulture MENDELU, Mendeleum, Lednice. The positive effect of the mycorrhizal preparation as an intensifying factor was statistically proven in the quality of pepper seedlings. The set parameters were: plant height, stem diameter and increase of the number of leaves. The set parametres in the quality of leek seedlings were: stem diameter, length of the above-ground part, the length of the underground section, weight of fresh roots, weight of roots after drying. The positive effect of the mycorrhizal preparation as an anti-stress measure was proven in the evaluation of yield of peppers in 2011. The positive effect of the mycorrhizal preparation as an anti-stress measure was also proven in the evaluation of yield of the 1st grade quality of peppers in 2011 and in the quantity of nitrates in leek planted in 2010. The positive effect of mycorrhizal preparation as an intensifying factor or as an anti-stress measure on the other evaluated parameters was not proven.

Korelace mezi mentálním stresem, elektrickou aktivitou trapézových svalů a elektrickou aktivitou mozku. / Correlation between mental stress, trapezius muscles electrical activity and electrical activity of the brainMašková, Markéta January 2015 (has links)
Title: Correlation between mental stress, trapezius muscles electrical activity and electrical activity of the brain Objectives: The main goal of this thesis is to find out whether a shortterm mental stress induced by solving tests in maths, Czech language and colour word test in a time pressure increases the electrical activity in musculus trapezius and further more to evaluate the change in distribution of alfa activity in electroencephalographic record before and after undertaking the above mentioned tests. Methods: The experimental sample consisted of six university students (5 women, 1 man) at the age from 22 to 30. The electrical activity of m. trapezius pars descendens was being evaluated billateraly using the telemetric surface electromyography TeleMyo Mini of the Neurodata company, and electrical activity of the brain was being evaluated using the EEG Nicolet. The stress load was induced by solving mental tests (Czech language, mathematics and a colour word test) in a time limit. The shorten version of Eysenck Personality Questionnaire was used to determine the characteristics of the individuals. We focused mainly on determining degree of neuroticism. Results: No influence of mental load on increasing the electric activity of m. trapezius pars descendens was proven. Electroencephalographic...

Stresové zatížení pracovníků ve vybrané profesi / Stress load in a specific jobMinaříčková, Kateřina January 2016 (has links)
The thesis deals with the issue of the stress load in specific job and it is divided into two main parts, theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part is based on a compilation of professional literature and describes the origin of stress, types of stress, possible stressors, the individual stages of stress, response to stress, stress on a workplace and general consequences of stress on human health. Furthermore, this thesis is focused on burnout syndrome and its main causes and consequences.
The empirical part is based on quantitative research which is focused on extent of work load and burnout syndrome among employees in banking sector. Also it verifies the existence of correlation between the extent of the work load and sex, age, duration of practice and correlation between the burnout syndrome and sex, age and duration of practice. There was used a questionnaire survey for gaining all the data. The facts were processed and evaluated by statistical methods.

Stresové zatížení pracovníků ve vybrané profesi / Stress load in a specific jobStrnadová, Michaela January 2016 (has links)
This thesis called The stress load in a specific job is divided into theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part contains three main chapters. The first one describes the terms such as stress, mechanisms of stress reactions, prevention, mental hygiene, regime (way of living) in general.
The second part related to the work stress describes the main stressors in a working environment and the impact of the stress on a job performance.
The third part relates the job description of the employees in media company in relation to the stress and coping with stress.
The empirical part is devoted to the research, which is conducted through a questionnaire survey. The questionnaire was developed on the base of expressed hypotheses and it is composed of the three sections: 1) causes of stress, 2) symptoms of stress, 3) strategies of coping stress.
Collected data indicate the level of the stress-workers in the media company, the most common stressors and the way how to prevent the stress.

Stres management u pedagogických pracovníků / Stress management of education prefessionalsUrbanová, Marie January 2017 (has links)
This Master´s Thesis focuses on mapping the occurrence of stress in the occupation of pedagogues, its significance, influence and circumstances which affect it. Furthermore, this thesis maps the occurrence of the burn-out syndrome phenomenon, its manifestations and influences which affect it. Also, the thesis deals with stress management and its potential use in the pedagogic field. In this matter, it mostly deals with time management, self-reflection and the influence of positive orientation. In this thesis, the used methods were the use of questionnaires among the educationalists and also dialogues with selected headmasters. The results confirm the existence of connection between the values of the burn-out syndrome and the length of pedagogic career, the age of a person, sex and other studied aspects. Nevertheless, it is important to point out, that the hypotheses based on the studied literature were not confirmed.

Streservarings van die onderwyser met betrekking tot leerders met gedrags- en emosionele probleme in die klas (Afrikaans)Hendriks, Erika Erna 19 November 2007 (has links)
The purpose of the study was to attain a deeper sense of understanding of the teacher’s stress experience during interactions with a learner suffering from behavioural and emotional problems. The study was undertaken within the interpretive paradigm. A qualitative research design of three case studies (schools, with two participants per school) was used. The case studies were carried out per school since the school establishes the context for the narrative of the stress experiences. Data capturing was conducted by means of semi-structured interviews. The main themes that emanated from the interviews were: the emotions of the teachers, the handling of stress resulting from the relation to the learner and own stresses, and a general reflection of the teachers regarding their own stress experiences. An overall view was taken of the relationship between the context and participants’ stress experiences. The main findings showed a clear correlation between the intensity of the stress experience on the one hand, and the individual’s perception of an incident and his/her need for control on the other. The headmaster’s leadership style and the organizational culture can influence the participants’ experience and their handling of class incidents. Professional and personal stressors have a mutual influence on one another. Reflections appear to play a major part in how stress is dealt with. / Dissertation (MEd (Educational Psychology))--University of Pretoria, 2007. / Educational Psychology / MEd / unrestricted

Buněčná smrt jako důsledek železem indukovaného buněčného poškození / Cell death as a result of iron-induced cellular damageBěhounek, Matěj January 2016 (has links)
Iron is an essential trace element for almost all living organisms. Iron overload in cells and tissues, however, leads to their disruption. Most oftenly damaged are parenchymatic organs such as the liver, pancreas and heart. The aim of this thesis was to create cellular in vitro models for the investigation of effects of excess iron on hepatocytes and pancreatic beta cells and on these models to investigate cellular processes which lead to cellular damage during iron overload. We focused on examining the presence of oxidative and endoplasmic reticulum stress and the activation of apoptotic cell death. For our experiments, we used HEP-G2 cell line which represents human hepatocytes and NES2Y cell line which represents human pancreatic beta cells. To study the mechanisms of cellular damage during iron overload, we used two approaches by which we observed both acute and long-term effects of high levels of iron on damage of the tested cell lines. When studying the acute effect of excess iron on the cells, we applied high doses of iron (using 15 mM ferric citrate in medium) that led to the activation of cell death in hours. Long-term effects of iron overload were tested on cells regularly cultivated in the presence of 50 μM and 100 μM ferric citrate over a period of several months. Iron concentrations...
