The purpose of the study is two-fold: (1) to determine a sound basis for the administration of extra-curricular activities in a secondary school and (2) to evaluate practices and procedures of forty high school administrators in administering extra-curricular activities to determine the extent to which they meet accepted criteria in the field.

This study was made for the purpose of determining the status and methods of conducting non-athletic extra-curricular activities in the secondary schools of Central West-Texas with the hope that the findings may prove valuable to school boards and administrators in setting up standards for evaluating their activity programs.

The problem of this study was to determine the extent to which the results of the use of the "Evaluative Criteria" set up by the Southern Association of Secondary Schools agree with the evaluative criteria drawn from standard objectives in an activity program of the Era High School.

The purposes of this study were to determine the current practices, as reported by the sponsors, of the senior high school student councils in the state of Texas and to compare these practices with those recommended by national student council specialists. The problem is to study the aims of the University Interscholastic League of Texas and evaluate them in the light of the aims of education as set up by authorities in the fields of education and to study the present method of conducting the League activities in Johnson County and evaluate the activities in the light of the aims of education and the data obtained from superintendents in the Conference B schools of Johnson County.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the recreational program of certain junior high schools in the Texas Panhandle to determine the extent to which they meet accepted criteria for this type of program.

The problem of this study is to make an evaluation of the out-of-class activity program of the Sherman High School.

Since more demand is being made of the school to teach democracy--and to practice what it teaches--this work is an attempt to show how some phases of the democratic way of living can be incorporated into a student activity program of a high school, and to offer a democratic plan for the coordination and administration of these student activities.
