Managementläran har en lång historia med olika idéer för hur organisationer bäst styrs. Idagens samhälle är hållbarhet en stor trend, alla aktörer måste arbeta för en hållbar utvecklingoch ett resultat av detta är intresset som uppkommit för hur företag kan använda sig avhållbarhet som managementidé. Som en del av samhället måste även landets kommuner tahänsyn till trenden och det är vanligt att offentlig sektor kopierar managementidéer frånprivata sektorn. Med hjälp av en kvalitativ studie var syftet att jämföra managementmodellenutformad av Galpin et al. med delar av Uppsala kommun för att se om modellen, utformad förprivat sektor, har relevans för offentlig sektor. Datainsamlingen har genomförts medinläsning, intervjuer och observationer på två förvaltningar inom Uppsala kommun.Undersökningen visar att Galpinmodellens faktorer går att identifiera på delar av Uppsalakommun men att det finns vissa skillnader mellan modellen och Uppsala kommun. Slutsatsenär att Galpinmodellen verkar ha relevans även för offentlig sektor.

Modern businesses are trying to employ sustainability as part of their business structure. The alongside terms internal control and corporate social responsibility has also become a key concern for businesses in the ever changing business environment. Changes in business environment are unavoidable. In this paper, we have tried to link these three terms together. We have tried to find out the role of internal control and corporate social responsibility in sustainability of a business. We have selected Boeing as our case as it is a reputed giant corporation, who has practice COSO internal control framework and corporate social responsibility (CSR). We have discussed the models related to the terms and tried to find out how the company used those model into their organization. This paper also tried to find out if there is any direct link between internal control and CSR with a company being sustainable and profitable. Our study showed Boeing’s proper adaptation of COSO framework and CS model. Nevertheless, the study could not suggest any clear connection of internal control and CSR as a key mean for sustainability or profitability. However, a clear rise in goodwill has pointed out in the paper that could be a key outcome from effective internal control and CSR.

Sustainability is becoming more of a strategic tool in many companies today and will become even more important in the future. Hemfrid is today looking at many new business areas and has realized the importance of including sustainability in its new businesses. However, the link between sustainability and business development has not been researched in a larger extent and therefore there are no good methods to use. Therefore, the aim of this report is to provide a method and tool for Hemfrid to integrate sustainability aspects into their business development processes. To fulfil this aim, an analysis of current scientific literature and models within the areas of sustainability and business development was done. Based on those models, with a foundation in the Sustainable Development Goals, a model was created. To be able to weigh different impact area against each other, an MCA was conducted. Finally, the model was assessed through external feedback and through a SWOT analysis. The model is based on 14 of the 17 SDGs with specific impact categories for all of them. A tool was created in Excel to easily assess the impact of the new business development projects. Lastly a seminar was held with Hemfrid’s management team facilitating the model. / Hållbarhet håller idag på att utvecklas från ett område som de senaste åren varit en operationellt fokuserad verksamhet till något som mer och mer närmar sig strategiarbete. Som en del av den här utvecklingen börjar många företag konstatera att integrationen av hållbarhet i deras affärsutvecklingsarbete blir en fråga som blir allt viktigare. Hemfrid har de senaste 20 åren växt fram till ett marknadsledande företag inom hushållsnära tjänster där hemstädning för privatpersoner är den dominerande tjänsten. Hemfrid har valt att fokusera på att ge sina anställda kollektivavtal och trygg anställning och fokusera på sina anställda och kunder och i dagsläget tittar man på många nya affärsutvecklingsmöjligheter för att fortsätta erbjuda sina kunder hjälp i sina hem. I och med Hemfrids fokus på hållbarhet med schyssta arbetsvillkor och miljövänliga produkter har de även insett vikten av att även på ett tidigt stadium få in hållbarhetstänk i sitt affärsutvecklingsarbete. Denna rapport syftar därför till att skapa en modell och verktyg för Hemfrid för att integrera hållbarhetsaspekter i deras affärsutvecklingsarbete. Hemfrid-modellen är framtagen med de globala hållbarhetsmålen som utgångspunkt där olika kriterier identifierades inom varje mål som Hemfrid sedan kan utvärdera sina affärsutvecklingsprojekt utifrån. En litteraturstudie är även gjord där det identifierats nio ytterligare modeller inom hållbarhet respektive affärsutveckling som på olika sätt varit användbara för att skapa kriterier och övergripande användning av Hemfrid-modellen. Varje mål är viktat utifrån Hemfrids nuvarande verksamhet och strategi för att spegla företagets hållbarhetsprioriteringar. Verktyget är framtaget i Excel, baseras på en Multikriterieanalys och ger Hemfrid ett enkelt sätt att på en 5-gradig skala, för varje mål, utvärdera om kriterierna förändras från en skala mycket sämre till mycket bättre jämfört med dagens produkter eller tjänster. Verktyget visualiserar sedan om projektet som helhet är bra eller dåligt hållbarhetsmässigt samt vilka mål man har väldigt positiv påverkan på och bör kommunicera mot sina kunder samt vilka man bör se över och förbättra. Vidare har verktyget testats på två olika affärsutvecklingsprojekt där representanter från hållbarhetsavdelningen och affärsutvecklingsenheten fått ge feedback på användning och modellen har även presenterats och diskuterats tillsammans med Hemfrids ledning för att förankra modellens användande inom bolaget. Slutligen gjordes även en SWOT-analys där modellen visade vara över lag positiv. De negativa delarna med modellen ligger i att den är en förenkling av verkligheten och inte kommer kunna ta upp alla hållbarhetsaspekter som finns samt att det i användandet av modellen finns risk att man gör subjektiva bedömningar och ger sig själv bättre poäng än vad man egentligen borde. Modellen kommer dock kraftigt förenkla integrationen av hållbarhet i affärsutvecklingsprocesserna på Hemfrid och kommer användas för att försäkra att Hemfrid fortsätter vara starka inom hållbarhet och att erbjuda sina kunder smarta lösningar.

<div> <p>The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) <i>Report on the Sustainable Master Plan Pilot Program and Lessons Learned </i>published in December 2012 showed that airports of all sizes can benefit from incorporating sustainability in their master plans. Global aviation organizations such as the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and Airports Council International (ACI) have been in the forefront in championing aviation sustainability. While incorporating sustainability in airport planning is highly encouraged, there are challenges associated with such a process. Some of the challenges experienced by airport managers in planning and implementation sustainability are lack of financial capability, and lack of skilled sustainability specialists. In 2009, FAA launched the Airport Sustainability - Airport Improvement Program (AIP), to provide grants to airports that were willing to invest the time and resources in preparing airport master plans that incorporate sustainability issues. To date, 44 airports have been funded through the FAA Airport Sustainability AIP grant. Six of the 44 airports are in the category of small hub airports as classified by the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS). The objective of this study is to gain an in-depth understanding of the approaches to sustainability planning used by the six small hub airports in the FAA program. The researcher chose a case study design to conduct an exploratory case study with multiple cases. The results of the study show that the approaches used by the six airports vary depending on the specific airport needs and resources available. Based on the study results, the researcher concludes there are more similarities than differences in the approaches airports have used to incorporate sustainability in the master planning process.</p> </div> <br>

Purpose of this paper is to analyze and evaluate selected organization for the Czech National Award in CSR. Data report for analyzing was completed in cooperation with management of the organization. Further data analysis was carried out according to the evaluation form, respecting Committed to Sustainability model. It resulted into feedback report, which provides steps of how to improve CSR for future evaluation of economic sustainability, enviromnent and social responsibility. Thesis is finished by point evaluation and overall conclusion.

Digitala lösningar och information- och kommunikationsteknik (IKT) har föreslagits som ett potentiellt kraftfullt verktyg för att skapa smarta hållbara lösningar som minskar utsläpp och energibehov. Det pågår däremot en debatt huruvida IKT-lösningar verkligen bidrar till minskade utsläpp och minskad energikonsumtion. Det finns ett behov att utvärdera IKT-lösningars påverkan på klimatet med utgångspunkt i ekologisk, ekonomisk och social hållbarhet. Ett tillvägagångssätt att utvärdera klimateffekter är genom hållbarhetsanalyser. Elvenite och dess moderbolag har tagit fram en hållbarhetsanalys som kallas klimatnyttoanalys, vars huvudsakliga syfte är att öka kunskapen kring företagets digitaliseringslösningars positiva och negativa klimatpåverkan. Klimatnyttoanalysen är ny arbetsprocess på Elvenite och denna studie ämnar undersöka dess utvecklingsmöjligheter genom att kartlägga hur medarbetarna på Elvenite och en utvald kund ser på arbetet med klimatnyttoanalys. Baserat på kartläggningen kommer denna studie ge förslag och rekommendationer för fortsatt arbete med klimatnyttoanalys samt ge ett förslag på ett ramverk. Studien är avgränsad att endast ta hänsyn till de ekologiska aspekterna av hållbarhet. Den metod som används är en litteratursökning, en enkätundersökning som analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys samt en intervjustudie som analyserades med tematisk analys. I resultatet presenteras klimatnyttoanalysen i relation till tidigare forskning, en sammanställning av enkätundersökningen samt en sammanställning av den tematiska analysen av intervjustudien. Studien kommer fram till åtta åtgärdsförslag på hur klimatnyttoanalysen behöver utvecklas samt vad Elvenite behöver göra för att fortsätta arbetet med klimatnyttoanalyser och en viktig tanke om social hållbarhet som Elvenite bör ta hänsyn till. Dessutom presenteras ett förslag på ett ramverk baserat på de åtta åtgärdsförslagen. / Digital solutions and information and communication technology (ICT) have been proposed as a potentially powerful tool for creating smart sustainable solutions that reduce emissions and energy needs. On the other hand, there is a debate about whether ICT solutions really contribute to reduced emissions and energy consumption. There is a need to evaluate the impact of ICT solutions on the climate based on ecological, economic, and social sustainability. One approach to evaluating climate effects is through sustainability analysis. Elvenite and its parent company have developed a sustainability analysis called climate benefit analysis, whose main purpose is to increase knowledge about the company's digitalization solutions' positive and negative climate impact. The climate benefit analysis is a new work process at Elvenite, and this study intends to investigate its development opportunities by mapping how the employees at Elvenite and a selected customer view the work with climate benefit analysis. Based on the survey, this study will provide proposals and recommendations for continued work with climate benefit analysis and provide a proposal for a framework. The study is limited to considering only the ecological aspects of sustainability. The method used is a literature search, a questionnaire survey that was analyzed with qualitative content analysis and an interview study that was analyzed with thematic analysis. The results present the climate benefit analysis in relation to previous research, a compilation of the questionnaire survey and a compilation of the thematic analysis of the interview study. The study comes up with eight proposals for measures on how the climate benefit analysis needs to be developed and what Elvenite needs to do to continue the work with climate benefit analyzes and an important idea of social sustainability that Elvenite should consider. In addition, a proposal for a framework based on the eight proposals for action is presented.

The Interest of the Business Corporation and its Protection Abstract This thesis is about the general interests of business corporations. It creates a comprehensive overview, designed to enable the reader to become acquainted with the basic factors which are shaping such interests. While maintaining the link to Czech legal regulation and jurisprudence, it describes the nature of business corporations' interests at a basic level and it points to legal institutions that might indirectly complement this idea. The objectives detailed above are pursued in three ways, each of which is considered in one of the three parts of the thesis. The three parts follow each other sequentially, leading the reader through a comprehensive path to understanding some areas of the law that, at first, might seem unrelated. It sets basic distinguishing criteria for the different types of business corporations. These criteria are important for the thesis' eventual conclusions, which are in the theoretical level related primarily to capital companies.
