Decentralised power systems with a high portion of power generated from renewable energy sources and cogeneration units (CHP) are emerging worldwide. Optimising the energy usage of such systems is a difficult task as the stochastic fluctuations of generation from renewable sources, the coupling of electrical and thermal power generation by CHP and the time dependence of necessary storage devices require new approaches. Evolutionary algorithms are able to solve the optimisation task of the energy management. They use the principles of erroneous replication and cumulative selection that can be observed in biological processes, too. Very often recombination is included in the optimisation process. Using these quite simple principles the algorithm is able to explore difficult, large and high dimensional solution spaces. It will converge to the optimal solution in most of the cases quite fast, compared to other types of optimisation algorithms. At the example of an one dimensional replicator it is derived that the convergence speed in optimising convex functions increases by several orders of magnitude even after a few cycles compared to Monte-Carlo-simulation. For several types of equipment models are developed in this work. The cost to operate a given power system for a given time span is chosen as objective function. There is a variety of parameters (more than 15) that can be set in the algorithm. With quite extensive investigations it could be shown that the product of number of replicators and the number of calculated cycles has the most important influence on the quality of the solution but the calculation time is also proportional to this number. If there are reasonable values chosen for the remaining parameters the algorithm will find appropriate solutions in adequate time in most of the cases. Although a pure evolutionary algorithm will converge to a solution the convergence speed can be greatly enhanced by extending it to a hybrid algorithm. Grouping the replicators of the first cycle in suggestive regions of the solution space by an intelligent initialisation algorithm and repairing bad solutions by introducing a Lamarckian repair algorithm makes the optimisation converge fast to good optima. The algorithm was tested using data of several existing energy systems of different structure. To optimise the energy usage in a power system with 15 different types of units the required computation time is in the range of 15 minutes. The results of this work show that extended hybrid evolutionary algorithms are suitable for integrated optimisation of energy usage in combined local energy systems. They reach better results with the same or less effort than many other optimisation methods. The developed method of optimisation of energy usage can be applied in energy systems of small and large size and complexity as optimisation computations of energy systems on the island of Cape Clear, at FH Offenburg and in the Allgäu demonstrate.

Closing the Loop – Integrating Processes and Operational Digital Twin Data Into the Digital Thread GraphKasper, Nico, Pfenning, Michael, Eigner, Martin 09 October 2024 (has links)
For manufacturers of complex interdisciplinary system solutions, the Digital Thread is an essential element that serves as the backbone of technical and organizational data flows. This study proposes a graph-based Digital Thread that integrates a Digital Model and a derived Digital Twin in a native graph database in a polyglot architecture. The approach includes dynamic processes such as advanced interdisciplinary change management and additional data from different lifecycle phases, using objects and relations described by attributes to minimize redundancy while enabling view creation and filtering. Companies often have discipline-oriented IT landscapes that create data silos and prevent contextbased integration of data and process models. The Digital Thread as a backbone represents an approach to overcome these silos as a system lifecycle-spanning system.

Management ošetřovatelské péče o fyziologického novorozence s využitím klasifikačních systémů NANDA, NIC a NOC / Management of Nursing Care for Newborn Using Classification Systems NANDA, NIC and NOCMICHALOVÁ, Veronika January 2013 (has links)
We have dealt in this thesis with problems of nursing care of the newborn from the perspective of standardized classification systems NANDA, NIC and NOC which offer many opportunities for streamlining, simplifying and improving of the quality of care. The theoretical part of this thesis focuses on nursing care of physiological newborn during the first moments after the birth until leaving hospital. Furthermore, the common nursing language which is included in standardized classification systems NANDA, NIC and NOC.The empirical part of the thesis was prepared with the help of qualitative - quantitative strategy. We chose to collect valid data a research method of content analysis of documents, modelling, thought experiment and a structured interview. The first aim of the research was to identify the use file from various classification systems related to nursing care of physiological newborn. We selected 9 nursing diagnoses from the publication NANDA International Taxonomy II through content analysis, 9 nursing interventions from Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC), 5 expected results related to the care of physiological newborn from the publication Nursing Outcomes Classification (NOC). We worked out a research form and submitted it in the way of a specific questionnaire to the validation of respondents ? who were experts in the field of nursing care of the newborn, it was made from the selected NANDA nursing diagnoses, NIC interventions and expected results of NOC. The second aim was to verify the usability of the selected files from the classification systems NANDA, NIC and NOC in clinical practice. The results of validation of NANDA nursing diagnoses were done by Diagnostic Content Validity Model ? DCV by Fehring. We determined the absolute and relative frequency of their designation within classification systems NIC and NOC. Nurses working at neonatal wards were our basic research populations; we created a targeted selection of two research samples divided by educational attainment. The first research sample consisted of 20 nurses with university education. The second research group was represented by 18 nurses with secondary education. The survey was realised in the time from January to March 2013 in the neonatal wards of the Hospital České Budějovice, a.s. Hospital Strakonice, a.s., Hospital Písek, a.s. Our third aim was to determine the attitudes of neonatal nurses to usage of classification systems in daily practice. We focused questions directed to the respondents on the knowledge and source of acquired knowledge, their attitude and possible reasons preventing the implementation of classification systems into clinical practice. The results showed nurses are reluctant to the usage and implementation of new standardized classification systems into clinical practice. The output of this thesis is the basic concept of nursing diagnosis according to NANDA-I, NIC and NOC focused on nursing care of physiological new-born in the area of the Czech Republic. 12 NANDA nursing diagnoses taxonomies was verified with 128 characteristics, 9 NIC nursing intervention taxonomies with 183 activities and 5 results of NOC nursing care with 72 areas of evaluation. There was selected in this survey 100 characteristics of NANDA taxonomy (62 %). It was chosen as being applicable in practice 130 from 9 selected files of NIC (71 %). It was selected 39 indicators (54 %) within 5 files of expected NOC results. The survey brought a lot of interesting information and also revealed even the lacks in the area of nursing care of physiological new-born; research also showed the lack in the area of nursing care of physiological newborn.

The aim of this thesis is to find out the financial gain of the integrated system of management quality, human safety and environment by the valuation of the company. My thesis includes the evaluation of the efficiency of integrated system of management quality, human safety and environment and after that there is included the valuation of the company in two versions. The first version reflects the real situation, the company has implemented the integrated system of management quality, human safety and environment. The second version reflects the hypothetical situation, in this settings the company wouldn't have the integrated system. The difference between these two valuation is the financial gain of this system.

Learning Management Systems as a Tool for Community-based Project ManagementMohamed, Bahaaeldin, Köhler, Thomas January 2009 (has links)
This paper addresses a new conceptual framework for a communitybased project management learning model that aims to support learning within a project and enhance the distribution of knowledge within a particular virtual community. This model also aims to develop a virtual community of doctoral students, who can manage their own projects online with other community members who have the same interest. In order to develop that model, a checklist of community-based project management process has been developed in the light of the literature review and the needs of stakeholders (doctoral students and researchers). Within this model, community-based project management includes three main elements: community, project and management. In relation to project, there are two main sub elements. First is projectbased learning (PBL), which is based on constructivist perspective of learning that make students construct their knowledge when they work together to accomplish specific goals. Second is the project management body of knowledge (PMBOK), which is a project management guide, and an internationally recognized standard [PMBOK Guide, 2004], that provides the fundamentals of project management as they apply to a wide range of projects, including construction, software, engineering, automotive, so the study deploy this approach to scaffold based project management learning model. In the terms of the community element, this study adopted the community of inquiry model, which defines a good
e-learning environment through three major aspects: cognitive presence, social presence and teaching presence. The last element which is addressed in this study called knowledge management. After identifying these elements, this study investigates a range of tools in the light of this model. The study analyses six different learning and content management systems (OPAL, Moodle, Joomla, e107, ZMS and TUDWCMS) in order to find out tool(s) that is/are sufficient for implementing the suggested study model.
