Simulating iNET's Protocol Stack with OPNET Modeler

Jaber, Nur, Moazzemi, Paria 10 1900 (has links)
ITC/USA 2011 Conference Proceedings / The Forty-Seventh Annual International Telemetering Conference and Technical Exhibition / October 24-27, 2011 / Bally's Las Vegas, Las Vegas, Nevada / This paper discusses simulating iNET's protocol stack using OPNET Modeler. It shows an example of a custom protocol simulated in OPNET Modeler, and how to model the test article, and ground station as reusable components for future simulation. Network simulation is a critical tool for iNET as it enables design decisions that cannot be made analytically due to the complexity of the problem. This work addresses the incorporation of iNET's protocol stack into the OPNET Modeler tool set as this piece of iNET is unique and is not available in OPNET Modeler.

Vytvoření modulu jádra a konfigurace síťového serveru pro operační systém Linux / Kernel module definition and networking server configuration for Linux operating system

Pecho, Ladislav January 2010 (has links)
The goal of my work is to create two computer labs lessons. The first one is a guide in writing a simple Linux kernel module, and in making a file inside the procfs filesystem. The content of the file can be decided as late as at the moment of reading. The second lesson describes the configuration of a server which allows a computer to boot over network. DHCP server is used with a TFTP server for file transfers which are both handled by the dnsmasq program. The example configuration will display a menu on the client station. It is possible to select to boot either a Linux kernel, floppy disk image, Linux network installer, diagnostic tool Memtest, or a text mode game Grub Invaders. The chosen bootloader is pxelinux from the syslinux project.

Systém správy konfigurací páteřní sítě Cisco / Configuration management for Cisco backbone network

Bartoš, Jan January 2010 (has links)
The main aim of the master thesis was to create an application for backbone network configuration management. The priority of the application was to be effective and easy to take. Program has to be able to communicate with network devices by remote control and to download and upload configuration files. The program has enable also availability verification for remote control. For this purpose the ICMP protocol was used. The remote control is provided by telnet protocol and the protocol TFTP has been chosen for file tranfers providing. The application is a multithreading application based on the Java programming language. The Java graphic library Swing was used for GUI creation. The application supports file versioning, the configuration of the program can be saved as a text file, which can be easy changed by user. The program and its features are described in the second part of this thesis. The first part deals with theoretical facts about the IP networks and remote control of the Cisco backbone network devices.

Automatisera konfigurationen av routrar och switchar på ett IT-tjänsteföretag

Boularbah, Mohamed January 2020 (has links)
The anonymous company is an IT company that performs IT services according to customer needs. They got an internet provider as a customer about a couple of months ago. They manage the configuration of the ISP's routers and switches, which are then sent to the ISP's corporate customers. The work involves upgrading operating systems on routers and switches as well as adding files and then sending the product to the ISP’s end customer. Files and operating systems differ depending on the type of router and switch to be upgraded. The working method today is inefficient and there can be some errors when working with USB memory sticks today. The goal of this work is to improve and make their operation more effective by storing all files on a TFTP server instead of on USB storage. A script will be created with the language VB script that automates the configuration of routers and switches. The terminal for communicating with the router/switch is SecureCrt. Staff at the company have said that it takes on average about 15 minutes to manually configure a router. You only configure one at a time due to quality assurance and you have to sit in front of the screen throughout the process when configuring manually. The result of my work led to an efficiency improvement. The time it takes to configure a router ends at the same time, about 15 minutes, however, you can run several units simultaneously but because of lack of space, they can run a maximum of two at a time, while not having to sit in front of the screen as the script handles all configuration. It also led to lesser errors as you do not have to look for the correct USB memory for the corresponding device.

Remote File Access System for Generic Ericsson Processor Boards : File transfer service, Random Access Memory-based file system and secure file transfer solution research

García Moral, Daniel Jesús January 2011 (has links)
Generic Ericsson Processor boards are general purpose hardware platforms which provide generic processing services. They support the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface Specification. They have several network interfaces available and they are connected to Ericsson’s laboratory network. Several servers are also connected to this network. These boards require periodic firmware upgrades. They also require acquiring new firmware components and data files. Currently, an application to download or upload files from and to Ericsson’s laboratory servers when an Operating System has not already been booted does not exist. Therefore, the files have to be transferred to USB drives which are connected later to the boards in order to transfer the files. This is a time consuming operation which decreases Ericsson’s productivity. In addition, although Generic Ericsson Processor boards have an optional solid-state drive as secondary storage, Ericsson wants to be able to operate without it. This is because this secondary storage is not always available and Ericsson does not want to use it when the Generic Ericsson Processor boards are operating before an Operating System has been loaded. They prefer to use Random Access Memory storage. This project is focused on studying possible solutions for those two problems. Several file transfer protocols are analyzed. Several file system solutions mounted on Random Access Memory are also explored. A Trivial File Transfer Protocol client application and a Random Access Memory Disk driver prototype are designed, implemented and tested. They are tailored to work on a pre-boot environment, when the boards have not booted an Operating System yet, in Ericsson’s laboratory network. Finally, a secure file transfer protocols’ study is developed. This study will be used to assess Ericsson on the optimal secure file transfer protocol choice in order to implement possible secure future versions of the system.

Moudrost a časová perspektiva / Wisdom and Time Perspective

Topková, Petra January 2018 (has links)
This diploma thesis is focused on relationship between time perspective and wisdom. The aim of this paper was firstly to transfer Three-Dimensional Wisdom Scale (3D-WS) into Czech environment and test its psychometric properties, and secondly to explore relationships between wisdom conceptualized using above mentioned scale and time perspective. The sample encompassed 196 respondents. In order to measure time perspective Swedish version of the Zimbardo Time Perspective Inventory (S-ZTPI) and the Transcendental-Future Time Perspective scale were used; in order to explore wisdom Czech version of the Three- Dimensional Wisdom Scale was applied. Both newly translated questionnaires showed good psychometric properties in Czech sample. Balanced time perspective was calculated via two different methods and was related to education and health state. Only a very few respondents achieved optimal scores for BTP as well as for wisdom. Czech respondents scored the highest in reflective wisdom dimension and the lowest in the affective wisdom dimension. Women scored higher than men in affective subscale. Wisdom subscales and total wisdom had complex relations with different time perspectives. BTP was posivitely correlated with wisdom. Women scored higher than men in TFTP. This time perspective correlated with...
