Modul osciloskopu s bezdrátovým přenosem dat / Oscilloscope module with wireless data transmission

Kočík, Karol January 2015 (has links)
The aim of the thesis is the design and realization of the oscilloscope module with wireless data transfer. One part of the thesis is a short overview of the different types of AD converters. The main part is focused on the hardware configuration that allows modification of the wireless module of the oscilloscope, and the possibility of using in the industrial zone. The design takes into account reducing of consumption and EMC compatibility.

Design and implementation of a DSP-based control interface unit (CIU)

Kavousanos-Kavousanakis, Andreas 03 1900 (has links)
Approved for public release, distribution is unlimited / This research involves the development of a human-body motion tracking system constructed with the use of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components. The main component of the system investigated in this thesis is the Control Interface Unit (CIU). The CIU is a component designed to receive data from the magnetic, angular rate, and gravity (MARG) sensors and prepare them to be transmitted through a wireless configuration. A simple and effective algorithm is used to filter the sensor data without singularities, providing the measured attitude in the quaternion form for each human limb. Initial calibration of the MARG sensors is also performed with the use of linear calibrating algorithms. The testing and evaluation of the whole system is performed by MATLABʼ and SIMULINKʼ simulations, and by the realtime visualization using a human avatar designed with the X3D graphics specifications. Through this research, it is discovered that the MARG sensors had to be redesigned to overcome an erratum on the Honeywell magnetometer HMC1051Z data sheet. With the redesigned MARG sensors, the testing results showed that the CIU was performing extremely well. The overall motion tracking system is capable of tracking human body limb motions in real time. / Lieutenant Junior Grade, Hellenic Navy

Investigation of magnetic sensors and hardware design of a sensor platform for human-computer interaction purposes

Forsmark, Christopher January 2017 (has links)
Company A develops algorithms and hardware for the application of magnet tracking, to be able to use a dipole magnet as an interaction tool between humans and computers. This master thesis investigates the available magnetic sensors through a market survey and practical testing of a selection of the sensors in purpose to determine the most suitable magnetic sensor and magnetic sensor technology for the application of magnet tracking. With the most suitable sensor found in the investigation, a sensor platform is designed and manufactured. The sensor HMC5983 from Honeywell is found to be the most suitable sensor and is designed into the sensor platform, which also includes ,for instance, a wireless MCU, CC2640 from Texas Instru- ments, together with a PCB antenna and a PSU including a battery charger, BQ24075 from Texas Instruments. The most suitable mag- netic sensor technology was found to be magnetoresistive sensors. The sensor platform was designed according to the requirements and is working good enough to enable company A to start testing their algorithms for magnet tracking on the new platform.

Časomíra letu v ultralehkém letadle/vrtulníku / Flight Timer in Ultramicro Aircraft/Helicopter

Široký, Adam January 2015 (has links)
This thesis deals with the development of embedded system for ultra light airplanes and helicopters. The aim is to design a system which would allow to measure and record the length of individual flights. It is therefore an onboard electronic diary which should facilitate and streamline the administration associated with sport aircraft operation. The base of the system is created on microcontroller of the MSP430 family by Texas Instruments. A reader will be offered the used hardware, the system design, the way of function and the possibility of using of the suggested system.
