Sivčák, Jozef Unknown Date (has links)
The master’s thesis designs and checks the reinforced concrete tanks of sewage plant. Part of this thesis are also drawings. Tanks are designed as a watertight underground structure with aspect on standards and watertight function. Foundation slab and concrete walls were designed according to ultimate and serviceability limit states. The thesis includes design of reinforcement according to non-force effects in early stage. The structure is checked also to loss of equilibrium of a structure due to uplift by vertical actions from water pressure.

[pt] A ÉTICA DO DISCIPULADO: UMA PROPOSTA DE ESPERANÇA EM DIETRICH BONHOEFFER / [en] THE ETHICS OF DISCIPLESHIP: A PROPOSAL OF HOPE IN DIETRICH BONHOEFFER

FILIPE COSTA MACHADO 05 April 2022 (has links)
[en] Dietrich Bonhoeffer s contribution to 20th century theology is immeasurable, for his pastoral dedication to the christian church as well as his academic and theological commitment and rigor. The Lutheran martyr is the main theme of this dissertation, especially regarding his thinking about hope. Therefore, an exposition of his biography was made, in order to understand how important the historical and social context is for his works and positions, and which already shows the latent eschatological perspective of the author. Then, the presentation of fundamental themes of Bonhoeffer s theology, such as ecclesiology and christology, serves as a basis for defining the hope that is present, albeit in a secondary way, in his writings. Finally, the theme ethics of discipleship is defined as the bonhoefferian hope, as it is the proper way of being a christian, based on the concepts of penultimate, ultimate and preparation of the way. All are present in Ethics and shape the author s theological thought, which brings eschatology, as the ultimate, to the present, penultimate, that is, which presents the christian ethos - discipleship - as the preparation of the way for the back from the Nazarene.

An Experimental Setup based on 3D Printing to test Viscoelastic Arterial Models

Dei-Awuku, Linda 08 1900 (has links)
Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are a leading cause of death worldwide, emphasizing the need for advanced and effective intervention and treatment measures. Hypertension, a significant risk factor for CVDs, is characterized by reduced vascular compliance in arterial vessels. There is a significant rise in interest in exploring the viscoelastic properties of arteries in the last few years, for the treatment of these diseases. This study aims to develop an experimental setup using 3D Printing Technology to test viscoelastic arterial models for the validation of a diagnostic device for cardiovascular diseases. The research investigates the selection of polymer-based materials that closely mimic the viscoelastic properties of arterial vessels. An experimental setup is designed and fabricated to perform mechanical tests on 3D-printed specimens. The study utilizes a mathematical model to describe the viscoelastic behavior of the materials. The model's predictions are validated using experimental data obtained from the mechanical tests. This study demonstrates the potential of 3D printing technology in fabricating specimens using elastic and flexible resin materials. These specimens closely replicate the mechanical properties of native arteries, offering a tangible platform for controlled mechanical testing. Stress relaxation tests on the3D printed specimens highlight the viscoelastic properties of fabricated materials, shedding light on their behavior under strain. The study goes further to model the mechanics of these materials, utilizing the Fractional Voigt model to capture the intricate balance between elastic and resistive behaviors under varying deformation levels. The results highlight the successful fitting of the Fractional Voigt model to the experimental data, confirming the viscoelastic behavior of the specimens. The obtained values of α and RMSE indicate a good representation of arterial mechanical properties within the viscoelastic arterial model, under different loading conditions. This research contributes to improving cardiovascular device validation and offers a practical and reliable alternative to invasive experiments. Future works include exploring different materials and conditions for arterial modeling and enhancing the precision and scope of the viscoelastic model. Overall, this study advances the understanding of cardiovascular biomechanics, contributing to the development of more effective diagnostic devices for cardiovascular diseases.

Lávka pro pěší přes lagunu / Pedestrian bridge across the lagoon

Bezručová, Kristína January 2018 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is the design and analysis of pedestrian bridge across the lagoon. Three variants were designed. The variant of structure, which combines stress ribbon with steel arches, was chosen for analysis. There is a chapter in this thesis which deals with an ideal shape of arches for different types of loads. The calculation of load effects was made in software Ansys 17.0, considering scnstruction stages. Ultimate limit state and state limit state are evaluated. For evaluation of concrete cross sections was used MS Excel. Steel cross sections were evaluated in software Ansys 17.0. d Dynamic behaviour of construction was assessed. The mode shapes and natural frequencies were calculated. The harmonic excitation response was studied. The loss of stability was checked. The design and assessment are according to the european standards.

Obloukový most přes údolí / Arch bridge across the valley

Velešík, Marek January 2020 (has links)
The main focus of this master thesis is the design and assessments of the bridge structure consist of a stress ribbon supported by a steel arch. Three preliminary studies of pedestrian bridges above the valley were created and the one with semi-through deck supported by arch through cables was chosen to detail processing. This thesis includes a chapter, which deals with finding the ideal shape of arch. The computational beam model for the analysis of the structure was created in software Ansys Mechanical including the construction stages. The correctness of the computational model was verified by the secondary model created in the software Midas Civil. For evaluation of the structure in crosswise direction was created slab model in software Midas Civil. The structure was evaluated considering the ultimate serviceability state and ultimate limit state according to currently valid standards. The thesis also includes dynamic analysis.

Guedes Russomanno, Tiago, Blauberger, Patrick, Schmid, Marc, Lames, Martin 14 October 2022 (has links)
Drones are widely used in different applications, with different models, like quadcopters, or military drones. But so far little has been done in sports regarding performance analysis, based on this, the aim of this work is to present a position detection in Ultimate Frisbee using drones.
